Finally ...FInally....to my friends out west...I am so glad that you can get married now...and I hope it spreads State by State....It is really simple, all relationships where couples are in love and want to make a committment...that should be honored and legalized...it is that simple....and Important.
( Hmmm, so does this mean Angie and Bratt can tie the knot? He said that if Marriage was legal for ALL , they would....)
It is hard for me to belive this is still an issue in the 21st Century.
ReplyDeleteWe, as a country, can torture, detain, waterboard, illegally invade- but allowing a loving union.... now we have serious problems with that?
I don't get it. I have lots of gay friends who are some of the nicest people I know.
It's the heteros at the helm that worry me most.
Personally, I bet it is the insurance lobby people who most don't want such unions-- then they have to cover more people. It cuts into their profit margin.
Oregon finally passed a legal union measure-- but right up to the last minute, it was iffy & in court.
The relief and joy when people finally got to officially have their union recognized & honored was profound.
They ordered a bunch of pies to share @ the courthouse.... because -finally- they got their piece of the pie.
