  1. Now that's a sentiment I can empathize with wholeheartedly:
"You let my love just go to waste... You don't care about me, just leave me be..."

Man is that an oldie. But for my pathetic sake, I hope an oldie is still a goodie. ;-)

  6. You lucky ducks got rain? We got 101 yesterday, 103 today, 104 tomorrow! Not a drop of rain in sight. Probably just as well. With these temps, it'd be a real steambath.

I don't know if it's an urban myth, but I recall a story from "back in the day" about how Joe Cocker was discovered. He was a handy-man plumber working on some pipes for Geo Harrison. He kept humming while working in that wonderful raspy voice of his & Geo encouraged him & sponsored his first records. hmmmm, plumbers use a lot of that PVC-glue, so I wonder if that accounts for Joe's, ummm, unique body movements? OK, I am being mean ... I love Joe; saw him live w/Leon Russell in vegas back in the 70's. Great concert! The Eagles were the warm-up band, can you believe it?

Wow..I had head the Harrison story too....I too thought it was an urban myth.... (( I saw the Eagles as warmup band too a bunch of times..it was the *gulp* 70's I think???) .....About Joe I have always wondered if he had a Neurologic /neuromuscular disorder...Still one of my favs always...and he really is my rainy day man...
( sorry about your heat wave- what the hell...)
