This is the first time I've heard her speak except for a snippet here and there. She is reallly amazing. I would LOVE to see them in person. I hope he comes through New Jersey again and I will have an opportunity.

I loved seeing the kids talk to him..it was so sweet ( I think they do it on the road that way too...so it was nice...things like that just choke me up...)

Michelle is such a good public speaker, but I really wish they had set her loose! I thought her speech was very well crafted, with an emphasis on crafted. I wanted to see something more, I don't know, not "angry black woman", but fiery! Yes. More fiery. I felt the warmth and truth in her words, but I did not feel the heat...Some of it was allowed to jump over the rim, but I wanted, maybe my expectations we're too high for a Monday...? I was looking for Martin Luther King Jr. in a dress! Malcolm X in high heels!

I DVR'd both MSNBC & CSPAN and have to say tomorrow I will only watch CSpan. Much as I love Keith & Rachel, watching them analyzing it instead of feeling like you are right on the convention floor made it feel small. The CSpan coverage was much more immediate. And of course, since I DVR, I can FFWD through dumbass "music" & filler.

I have heard her speak several times and I have always enjoyed her ability to speak so eloquently. I actually did enjoy the speech as night, but still wanted to hear a roar. Maybe I was too overloaded on caffeine to be a very good critic last night! :>)
