Hmmmmm, or do they live near a Coal Plant ? Do they have Mercury fillings ?Have they been Immunized in the past 6 years ? Yuck. We live just down the road from a coal burning power plant. And I ate fish last night. I hope it was caught somewhere far away from here.

ReplyDeleteit depends on the fish, and where it was caught- so far the fish with the highest mercury levels are Tuna- but some fish in the states are also a problem - in particulare large mouth bass, and some salmon. ( Chinook salmon).
Now if you are looking for fish that are safer- farm salmon are okay, and Perch from the Alaskan waters, and some white fish. ( and to be honest from what I KNOW of Fish in the NW and working with Scientists there- I would pass....)
To get your hair tested- Doctors Data does simple hair testing for under 50 dollars....if you have irritability,extreme fatigue, muscle aches, and frequent kidney infections, it would be good to see a naturopath and get your hair tested- Elevated mercury in women is serious.
about the coal plant- it would be good to know how far away you are- are you in the Plume ? ( this is helpful to know in terms of wind patterns), and also is this Coal Plant anywhere near your Water Source ?
