FREEDOM... A Messege to King George

Freedom

WHAT ARE WE VOTING FOR...
( I THINK GEORGE MICHEALS SONG IS PERFECT FOR THIS)

"It is not an Election anymore, it is an Intervention"
( Andrew Sullivan on CNN last week)

***** NOVEMBER 7TH AT 11;30PM LET THE INTERVENTION BEGIN, ELECTION NIGHT IT LOOKS LIKE THE
KING IS BEING SENT A MESSEGE******

"Freedom is not merely a word or an abstract theory, but the most effective instrument for advancing the welfare of man."
John F.Kennedy

"Those who expect to reap the blessings of Freedom, must ,like men, undergo the fatigues of supporting it."
Thomas Paine

"Those who deny freedom to others deserve it not for themselves, and under a just God cannot long retain it."
Abraham Lincoln

And finally a Special Messege from the Grave for the King and his Cronies:
"Yet we can maintain a free society only if we recognize that in free society no one can win all the time.No one can have his way all the time"

Free Coffee for a week at Enigma Cafe for the first one to identify the Writer of the above quote....Think hard.
(Hint: think about Where you are having your am cup of joe).

poignant & uplifting video! FREEDOM, yeah Bush says it all the time, while he grabs yet another piece of ours.

Your quote sounds familiar: Al Gore, Gore Vidal, or possibly Richard Nixon? Yes, as a fake-out, I'll go with Trickie Dickie. He may have even meant it, who knows, the man was always 10 steps ahead of the game. ~~ D.K.

Girl, if I understand my math correctly, we just broke even in the Senate, and only need one more seat for a majority.

I know you don't drink; I'm proud to tip a couple for you tonight! And glad to be celebrating, not drowning sorrows. The people have definately spoken.

Mel: You can definently drink a few for me tonight...shit...I am stunned...

Trickie Dickie, when he lost to JFK, was told he should ask for a recount. "No," said Nixon. "That might be too hard on the country." I really believe the old crook had a few good spots in his heart. It was just surrounded by the cancer caused by being a Republican.

WOO HOO!! Our state is blue, Enigma. It is blue!! Can ya believe it? Strickland and Brown had better not disappoint or I'll go on an asskicking quest.

And I am up at this ungodly hour (after going to bed at 2am) b/c my dad just called my house to exclaim:
DAD: "Hey kid, did you know that we might take the Senate, too? I just woke up and turned on MSNBC and just had to call you."
ME: "Gee dad... it is just before 4am... you had to call me now???"
MY DAD: "Well, yeah. It is pretty major. Didja expect me to wait until later?"
ME: "Yeah dad. Morning would be nice."
My SMART-ASS DAD: "I don't know what kind of clock you are using, but it is morning."
ME: "Sigh... I love you, but GO TO BED dad!"... click.

We got work to do still, people. I'm happy drunk tonight, but we HAVE to make the elected Dems so the right thing...the status quo is fucked. Our troops need to come home NOW, the Halliburton/corporate rule need to come to an end, our vets need to be COMPENSATED for being USED, and the money needs to be killed in public policy.

I'm planning on sleeping off a glorious drunk tomorrow, but even hung over, I bet I'm back up tomorrow afternoon, writing letters and raising hell. We could have rebuilt New Orleans ten times over with the money the profiteers have stolen in Iraq -- two BILLION a week we are spending, and our troops still have to buy their own body armor.

I'm signing of tonight to possibly irritate some neighbors, but I need to put on some good old fashioned American rock and roll and dance like a fool. Then fall asleep with a smile on my face.

If Spadoman or Dada was here, they'd surely recognize the fiesta. Ay,ay!!!!!!

Nice to see that the progressives have been having such a delightful chat over here in Enigma's neck of the woods.

Well my choice for Governor was not elected, but the Governor we did get is not a "business as usual" type of gal.

So all in all we done good too.
