June on the Porch....

(originally posted June 3rd and update every now and then)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
So I got my porch all cleaned up finally.....again...nothing spent on furnishings ( yup it is true, all of the lawn furniture and even the flower pots were tossed to the curb by neighbors, and then I scooped up and fixed up).....except for a little on plants and a can of Emerald Green Paint.....So here is the deal....I will be on this porch everyday finishing my book, The Book...Silent Fallout....I have a July 4th Deadline...and hopefully it will be out in Fall....So here's the deal...I will be on this porch every hour that I have off...sitting with my laptop....finishing The Tale...and during this month I can not blog on Politics or Health as much as I would like....there may be some sporadic posts thought.....I can only go to work and come home to The Book...that is all I can handle....
Yes, I have some other issues going on...and yes, I am still planning to move...but for now I have to focus....have to....to get 6-6 and I to our Future....cuz it ain't here in Ctown.....
So everyday I will post a Song and a Quote....because you know I care about Blogland and am still here.....namaste....
Monday June 8th......I watched President Obama in Egypt and Europe this past week...and it occurred to me that all that work that all of us did...it had worldwide implications...it mattered...really mattered....Now we need to help him with Healthcare...there are more than 52 million of us that have NO care....we need to Change that...Lives depend on it...
Do see the Tank Man post below and the Garden Posts........and if you need a Real Boost...do watch this....Dennis Speaking the Truth....
Damn Right! Silent Fallout! This is getting so exciting!
as Fran says, I am picturing you pounding away on that laptop, deep concentration only occasionally interrupted to drink iced tea, shoo away summertime gnats, feed cats, etc.
Summertime!
And Enigma's laptop is busy.
And Silent Fallout will be available soon.
Life may turn a corner but your friends are always still there.
Having read the excerpts you posted some time ago - I am eagerly awaiting the "rest of the story" as whatsisname used to say.
You are a talented writer, you've dragged me in, and I will certainly be purchasing a copy when it becomes available. Sign me up!
You do what you must - remember to set aside a LITTLE "enigma time" too tho. *hugs* We'll wait for ya.
Starting a draft for a book is easy.
Finishing a book is an accomplishment.
I swear, I must have a dozen drafts for books ranging from 1 page to 12 pages but alas, they remain in stasis in My Documents.
thanks one and all...I appreciate the encouragement and positive thoughts....if you go to the Blogroll- my section- downbelow...the first 11 chapters are open to the public....Silent Fallout ( the intro) and the Silent Fallout and Watery Lies is the actual book online...)
( I am working on the last 6 right now...urgh...coming down the homestretch is soooo hard for some reason....)
anyways....thank you....
Love the blog and godspeed for finishing your book. I wrote a script for a graphic novel a couple years ago and when I got that last bit typed in (after hand-writing the whole thing), it was an amazing sense of accomplishment. No matter that it hasn't been illustrated yet. I wish you all the best.
WOW---doing the book---excellent. And moving----oh, how we know. We finally landed in Sonoma's Forestville and are so glad to find some rest at last. Unpacking and napping....also, more time to catch up....good luck with it. Of all people, you are the most amazing in the creation, energy, and stamina department. :) Mandt
