BROKEN NEWS: KING GEORGE'S GIFT TO LIBBY: TIME TO IMPEACH THE CRIMINALS

*********
(corrected version7.3.07)
IT IS NOW 6PM , AS WE APPROACH THE 4TH OF JULY APPARENTLY PRESIDENT BUSH HAS DECIDED TO COMMUTE SCOOTER LIBBY'S SENTENCE , THE CRIMINAL THAT OUTED A CIA AGENT AND OBSTRUCTED THE INVESTIGATION OF THE OUTING AND WAS SENTENCED TO 30 MONTHES HAS DECIDED TO SPARE SCOOTER, AND LIBBY WILL SERVE NO JAIL TIME.NONE. THERE IS NO EXCUSE FOR THIS DEPLORABLE MISCARRIAGE OF JUSTICE. NONE. I CAN ONLY THINK THAT BUSH HAS BEEN GIVEN ORDERS BY DICK AND WANTS TO PLEASE ALL THREE OF HIS BASE.

I am horrified and will mourn this moment....This Whitehouse has once again defecated on the Constitution and the shredded Remains of our System of Justice..... Our Founding Fathers would weep in disgust...

*****7.3.07 I apologize for being in error King Bush commuted Libby's Sentence- before he had served ANY time, or completed the Appeals Process. ( per his Pustular Press Conference). He felt that Libby's sentence did not fit the Crime- it was "severe". He has not ruled OUT the Pardon option. BUT Here is my question ??? According to Libby's Job Description , he was also an Employee of Mr.Bush, the President. I don't know if an Employee that has Committed Obstruction of Justice, and indeed is now a Felon, has never been pardoned by a President....EVER. Is THIS a High Crime? An Impeachable Offense ?
And WHY has Libby remained Silent ? Why has Dick remained Silent- since Scooter was his employee ?

What's it going to take for the Dems to Impeach these Bastards??????

Only gw could have done something like this before the 4th! ; (

Yep. Just posted his "statement" with my own commentary. Unbelievable.

coffee messiah, NOTHING will cause this Congress to act in the interests of the country and impeach the criminal administration.
But we are not powerless.

Please pardon this onetime pimp:

It's time to get our revolt on.

Don't worry, we will get another photo op from Nancy Pelosi out of this.

I've been thinking of Fitzgerald. I wonder what his thoughts are on this.

so lemme get this straight: as governor, GWB never pardoned ONE prisoner, not even mentally handicapped or reborn christian women. But now, rather than let Scooter serve even one day of jail time, he decides the punishment was too harsh? In hindsight, I think the rush to pardon was exacerbated by that judge who said Scooter could appeal from jail. But of course, he was gonna be pardoned anyway; I shouldn't be surprised. Watch Keith O tonight. ~~ D.K.

He has not pardoned Libby. He commuted his jail time.

The pardon will come as he leaves office {that is if he leaves}.

However, I found this post that says he does not have the power to commute sentences only grant reprieves or pardons. Here's the link.

Bush Commutes Libby's Sentence

If this is right he may have committed an impeachable offense.

The down side is will they impeach him or will they be afraid of being arrested under the 2006 MCA bill they passed last year just before the elections.

God Bless.

Also, Keith is doing a special comment tomorrow on telling both *ssholes Bush and Cheney to resign.

Should be an interesting comment.

God Bless.

Now about falling down...Everyone here makes vaild points- and I SHARE YOUR ANGST...GEESUS TAPDANCING IN A THONG THIS FRIGGING KING DOES IT ON 4TH OF JULY ????? HAS HE NO DECENCY AT ALL????

I spent the eve helping another mom move and I did not watch any TV- just the NBC eve news - and I about threw up....so I don't know enuf...

NOW I have to say please read the ANonP. Link- and think about what he said- is this an impeachable offense ? I really want to know...

And yeah, I would love to see Fitz' reaction to do this...and also I am not sure he is allowed to pardon one of his own staff that committed FELONIES----HIGH CRIMES????

my head is still spinning...
and I am also working on a Post for Sirens...so I need to settle down...
and THINK.....

keep talking folks we need to figure this out...

When was George made God? I must've missed it!

The contempt he has for the American people is profound. Imagine how he must feel about folk from other lowly countries.

Cheers.

Bush and his advisors spent the weekend pondering this question:

President Bush is holding private meetings "over sodas and sparkling water" in which he asks trusted advisers -- "Why does the rest of the world seem to hate America? Or is it just me they hate?"

He either has no clue or simply doesn't care.

I can't take much more of this shit.

I found another link that says he can commute sentences, however that's once they are serving time and following guidelines set up for it.

And the kool aide drinkers rejoice. Even Joe Scarborough refuses to see anything wrong and even this morning he's talking about the military intel that says Iran involved in attacks against American Forces in Iraq.

War is just around the corner now and God help us.

God Bless.

PS: I have too call my Senators and call them Traitors for not stopping this Criminal.

I knew it! It's getting very predictable.

Forget the Leadership. Convince the Judiciary Committee.

Its my opinion that the bar has really been lowered.

If these folks won't impeach Bush, then its clear that they wouldn't have impeached Nixon, as Nixon was a much better President than Bush.

George Bush, the shittiest President ever.

Good news: after the Libby news yesterday, our local newspaper conducted a poll, "In which institution do you have the most confidence?" Bush Adm only got 6% !!! Now remember this is bush-base country, reddest of the red, repuke-luvin UTAH.

Ok, before you celebrate too much: Congress got 3%, Supreme Court 6%, Military 21%, MY RELIGION 23% & the balance is "Other". ~~ D.K.

Does anybody else agree that those Republican Presidential candidates which support Bush's decision can kiss their political aspirations good-bye?

I know that Duncan Hunter has already offered his support. That is one down.

How can Bush get away with these crimes

Did you see the post below the one you commented on?

That one is more important then the one you left a comment on.

God Bless.
PS: Sorry using your site for message.

D.K. Raed said...

A-P, I DID see both your posts. I'm sorry if I left my comment on the wrong one, probably the last one I read. You've been on a roll lately. I think BOTH posts were important. Good work exposing the nazis behind the curtain! ~~ D.K.

Keith Olbermann tore Bush up tonight about Scooter Fibby.

It was his best "Special Comment" yet.

Anon-Paranoid said...

Keith was hot tonight. I recorded it and will put it on cd. I want to remember this comment for a long, long time.

Time too start the Impeachment hearings.

God Bless and have a great 4th of July.

enigma4ever said...

Keith was indeed Dead on in his Special Comment...and I do agree with you- I do think it was his Best ever...

I was grateful that he spoke about High Crimes...and that this has gone too far for too long- and yes, he did indeed draw all the parallels to Nixon that haunt me and did indeed lead to me calling this blog Watergate Summer.

Now we must must find a way to get rid of the Criminals in the WH- and ALL laws Must be examined...

Larry said...

We of this time–and our leaders in Congress, of both parties–must now live up to those standards which echo through our history: Pressure, negotiate, impeach–get you, Mr. Bush, and Mr. Cheney, two men who are now perilous to our Democracy, away from its helm.

For you, Mr. Bush, and for Mr. Cheney, there is a lesser task. You need merely achieve a very low threshold indeed. Display just that iota of patriotism which Richard Nixon showed, on August 9th, 1974.

Resign.

And give us someone–anyone–about whom all of us might yet be able to quote John Wayne, and say, “I didn’t vote for him, but he’s my president, and I hope he does a good job.”

Words from a Great American: Keith Olbermann!

I see from this post and from my latest post that we feel the same despair that Keith O. so aptly and succinctly (as usual) summed up. Sigh... but anyway, have a good Fourth and I emailed ya so look for it.
