Then it was Thursday.....Oolong Tea,Apple Pie, and Moody Blues...

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
For my friends down South and Out West, I will keep sharing Snow Photos with you...it is so cold here, the weathermen are saying that it is colder than usual....So I am so lucky that this winter I have an actual Heater that works....today it is so frigid and windy....and the house rattles and shakes and the animals hide under the blankets....And then Xena my cat who is losing vision....I figured out in a way she loves the snow, because it illuminates the birds for her, they no longer blend into the leaves and foliage....There is plenty down below...everything from Prop8 to Gulf War Syndrome, to Hillary to Monty Python.... Have a good day.....( and yes, I will be here writing).
Moody Blues :: "You and Me".....beautiful video...soothing...
Great photo, E. It's the kind of pic one sees adorning greeting cards heralding the arrival of the holidays.
But, brrr, I just had a chill down my spine. And next we have pics of the first great snow storm of '08 to look forward to? (Or is this the 2nd, 4th, 7th?)
what ever 'cold' is ailing you..it's been wafting here this afternoon. Of course I doubt it'll become as cold as where you are but brrrr..when it's windy and cold, it's just so much more miserable then when it's 'just cold'. From my Ottawa, Canada days, I remember waiting for the bus (when hell was definitely freezing over) and I thought this shocking thought; "I'm going to freeze my toes off"!!!
Holy cow...when it's cold you can be so much more miserable then when it's hot..at least you can find shade or something..and get vitamin D to boot with all that sunshine..
I'll have to show my son this picture, he'll love it..
hope all is well E..have been thinking about you..
hugs
Ingrid
Drinkin' the double spice Chai tea here....
we had rain today, blustery winds.
The Obama people are really ramping up. Getting all kinds of correspondence from them, asking for more input on future issues, & feedback on how the volunteering went.
They ran a brilliant campaign, and the whole new leadership concept is soooo hopeful.
Just so cool they are embracing & utilizing technology for good.
I love that they are gleaning ideas.
Yay!
You know the cycle.. snow so magical & pretty at the beginning of the season. Enjoy it.!
We had a little sn*w here, but not enough to do more than make the car windows annoying on the way to work.
I am SO thankful that I managed to avoid any sn*w or ice storms coming home from Florida last weekend. Some folks in Kentucky think that sn*w on the ground means it is time to play Demolition Derby on the interstate!
Enigma thank you as I miss snow and like Agi says, we have fire instead. UGH! I will have to live vicariously through you if I'm to experience winter, I guess, so keep the pics coming. Can't wait to see icicles. We used to eat them as kids, even though they were full of dirt from the eaves. Oh well... extra minerals, eh? YUM!
And, who doesn't like PIE!! Did you have ice cream with it or is that too summery?
Moody Blues - lovely. The "leafless tree in Asia" was an anti-VietNam war sentiment according to interviews I've seen/read.
Our cat, Henry, has also lost some vision. He is a little old man who also has asthsma and arthritis. We must keep him very warm.
Snow is beautiful in pictures, but I do not miss it in real life one little bit.
ahhh, Henry and Xena would probally get along great....she is old....grumpy....likes her pillow on the window sill- I have given her my whole bedroom- with everything arranged just so...I know she can't see at all- we call my room the Princess Room....with much light and pillows and food at the ready....
