I saw this on TV. When the first group files out, they step up to the upper row. I didn't know what was happening. Then the lower group files out & there is Bush, so I realize a group pic is about to happen. When I saw everyone shaking hands with everyone else, like a receiving line at a wedding, that is when I noticed Bush is only trudging along, ape arms firmly held at his side, only making occasional eye contact or nodding his head. It's like they FORCED him to be there, and he doesn't like it, so he will be surly.
Also, maybe at some point during these economic meetings, there has been some words exchanged between him & the others, not-so-kind words that may have given him the idea that the other world leaders think HE is mostly to blame for the current global economic mess. So he doesn't want to play with them anymore. They don't like him, so he doesn't like them, so there! That's what he looks like, like a kid whose parents told him he HAD to be in a wedding group photo with a bunch of cousins he hates, cousins who he used to be rough with as little kids, but now they are grown up & don't have to take it from him anymore. So he does the photoshoot, but he doesn't have to enjoy it.
wow, even Andrea Merkel looked right over his head & on to the next person in line, probably tired of his incessant slobbering references to her BBQ pig.
DK::
wow the cousins at the wedding photo - so so true...I think it had to do with the discussions...but also that bush has lied and acted arrogant for years- they are done with him...
but he is acting strange too...head down, ape arms, and kind of like he is drugged- not there....I wonder if he was drunk and inappropriate during the meetings....we have no idea how he acts...( not that he was known for his manners...)
I too noticed there was zero attempt on anyone's part to shake, including his. Honestly, that's not how world leaders have ever acted, regardless of their supposed likes or dislikes. I think he had a bad cold and word got out to everyone not to make a move so there'd be no awkward grasping in air.
This just confirms what I have thought for some time now... Bush is, in truth, the Invisible Man, or better yet, a ghoul, a ghost...
