We Must be Children of a Lesser God? Democratic Senators Hack the Public Option :CALL DC TODAY.....50 MILLION LIVES AT STAKE

In Late Night Deals the Dems did the Unthinkable, they killed the Public Option, calling it " Compromise". Kiss My UnInsured Ass- NO WAY......Read the Post linked below from the LA Times....Call DC today- Scream...Shout....Say what Needs to Be Said- DO IT NOW.....( all contact Info is linked on the Side, Call Senators, call the Whitehouse....Enough is Enough)

This "Change"also does nothing to Help UnderInsured, the Young without Insurance, and Small Businesses...Millions who NEEDED the Public Option....

And this song below was on my mind ALL night....the Pain the Agony of watching....it captures it all.....

I am angry...frustrated right now....there is a place that is beyond fathom, beyond description....this song describes that place better than I ever could...About watching what is going on and how our Young People worked for a better Future, but so did we, we worked so hard to bring Change for them as well....with true heart,energy...power...ALL of us worked for 2 years- we made Promises to Ourselves to our Future..and Somehow we need to embrace that and remember that....

I saw this video tonight and it made me cry...one of the Riders gets hit by a man in a Nice Car in his nice suit and tie...it metaphorically really hit me that I feel like I have watched the Public Option and 50 million people get hit by a Man in Nice Suit....Hit and Run by Greed and Circumstances.....But in the video the boy who is hit opens his eyes,he gets up, he Rises, he Rides again....he is not alone, or abandoned by the Riders, his fellow Warriors...And for me that is the Lesson, None of us is in This Battle Alone, there is Power in Knowing that. 50 Million have NO Insurance, No one to care, But Each other. THAT is worth Fighting for, there are lives at Stake....This Battle is Not Over....And when they show the Fires in the Distance, I think that is what this has been like, for monthes now...but that Something Inside all of us must Rise from the Ashes, if this HealthCare Bill is a Disaster, then it will be up to us to Ride On, Push Forward, we can not turn back from OurSelves or Each Other....

Lyrics from the song:
"Into the night
Desperate and broken
The sound of a fight
Father has spoken

We were the kings and queens of promise
We were the victims of ourselves
Maybe the children of a lesser God
Between Heaven and Hell
Heaven and Hell

Into your eyes
Hopeless and taken
We stole our new lives
Through blood and pain
In defense of our dreams
In defense of our dreams"

About the HCR Bill, the Fucking Dems did the Unthinkable tonight...they murdered the Public Option....you can read about their piece of shit "Compromise " here in the LA Times....I hope Bernie, Sherrod and other don't vote for this pulverized pitiful excuse of a Bill.....Millions of lives hang in the balance....

No bill without a government run option that anyone of any age can join is a bad bill.

Obama has provided very little leadership on this. His talk to the Congressional Delegation a few days ago included NO MENTION of a public option. THe public option was a compromise to begin with. Harry Reid has none of the arm twisting talent displayed by Lyndon Johnson when he was a Senator and President.

You can scream all you like Nurse. I have written emails on the White House Web site, emails to Congressional Reps, etc., but the deal is done.

And it may not be such a bad deal if they drop the Medicare age to 55. The camel's nose is under the tent. ONe day, the entire camel will be IN the tent. Progress may take longer than we like, but it will happen. And those moron politicos who have stood in the way of Health Care Reform are on the wrong side of history.

I would love to say that 55 is ok..
and I know all about compromise....
but I also know that Millions of good Americans under 55 are now thrown to the wind- told their lives and health mean Nothing...
it should be a Civil Right....
I was first cancelled/denied in 2006....
and the clock ticks on...
Now denied because I am not the Right Age?
It's Bullshit..we all know it...
I can not go 6 more years with no healthcare....
Hell have no fury like a NURSE Scorned- esp if she is UnInsured....

but it is also about my hood-
many are in 40's like me..
and UnInsured..
working Part Time Jobs..
now we have nothing...
2 died on my street in the past year, alone in their homes....Without Healthcare...
Now I am left to wonder how many of us will join the Statistics ( 45,000/yr die without care)....

We are the only "civilized" country on Earth to treat their own people this way...
It is Shameful..

I don't know much about the revised bill yet, except that it may extend Medicare to younger people and I like that part. what was really wrong about the previous version of the bill (the one that included a public option) is that there was going to be an "opt-out" extended to states (and I know I am over-simplifying that) and I do know that an opt-out option means that Texas (and many other Republican-run states) would opt out and essentially leave people without insurance... there would be very little change or help for the uninsured.

I am in favor of everybody being insured. I guess that's my bottom line.

I am with you I was really wanting SinglePayer-Medicare for ALL...

None of what is being reworked is or has been put online yet...

the publicoption as it was written was indeed a compromise...( but the final senate bill-the last one did cover/offer the public option to more than 96% of those that need it- or would have...but apparently that 2014 page bill has now had the main piece removed/changed/altered?)
I think 55 and up for Medicare is in the Bill..
and there also was some talk of that Optout thingy still being a part of it- that states will be a part of the decision plan what is offered..so it will vary state to state...

and What we need to see is what is being offered to the people that have nothing- as of 3am- there was talk of working/creating a NationalNonProfit Coop-this means that the Insurance Industry would win-that would present NO challenge to them or cost incentive...

The Big Question is how many of us under 55 would have Nothing? How many millions is that.....the truth is we do need Medicare for ALL...

Fiengold,Rockefeller,Bernie are some of the ones fighting on ( I think Sherrod Brown and Burris too)
