Women Now Face More Hurdles to get Basic Health Care and Reproductive Care.....
Uploaded by NWLCmedia on Feb 28, 2012
In 2011, states across the nation enacted 92 new restrictions on abortion, the highest number ever. Today, overreaching politicians are continuing to jeopardize women's health by trying to force them to undergo invasive and unnecessary transvaginal ultrasounds and giving fertilized eggs legal rights. This dangerous trend is echoed in Congress, where lawmakers are trying to erect dangerous hurdles for women to jump over to get the reproductive care that they need and require.
The National Women's Law Center, based in Washington, D.C., has been working since 1972 to expand the possibilities for women and girls in this country. For more info, visit our website at http://www.nwlc.org.
