I just saw your comment on my Thursday post, I hope you see this.
inigma4ever said... and sadly yes, the entire world is in trouble...I think many of us have known that for a long time...so What do we do...???we all really need to think and come up with Something....we are running out of time...What do you think would help ?...or that we could or should do...
You are right, the entire world is in serious trouble and I firmly believe we cannot stop trying to help ourselves but when all is said and done we are all powerless to stop this.
Bush does not care what Congress and all the counties and world experts say let alone us. Continuing his destruction and NWO is all that matters.
You know, years ago when I first started telling people what he was doing to the country and the world many got very angry with me saying no President would ever purposely destroy our America and the world.
Well guess what and now it is too late to stop!

Patriot: The thing I worry about ....Do other people realize HOW BAD this is...do they even realize all this anti-terror laws is also isolating us economically ?Do they care? no- prob not- they think that they got theirs so- no worries...They preach one thing- but have termed the Global market they preach about into an imperial nightmare. It is a mess....and yes, your instincts or the fact that you have paid attention to history are what makes you understand the perdicament of right here, and now....and what has been created by Bushco.

e4e, here's some of my favorite 1960s wisdom. Although much older, it was exremely popular then.

Desiderata
Go placidly amid the noise and haste, and remember what peace there may be in silence.
As far as possible without surrender be on good terms with all persons.
Speak your truth quietly and clearly; and listen to others, even the dull and ignorant; they too have their story.
Avoid loud and aggressive persons, they are vexations to the spirit.
If you compare yourself with others, you may become vain and bitter;
for always there will be greater and lesser persons than yourself.

Enjoy your achievements as well as your plans.
Keep interested in your career, however humble; it is a real possession in the changing fortunes of time.
Exercise caution in your business affairs; for the world is full of trickery.
But let this not blind you to what virtue there is; many persons strive for high ideals;
and everywhere life is full of heroism.

Be yourself.
Especially, do not feign affection.
Neither be critical about love; for in the face of all aridity and disenchantment it is as perennial as the grass.

Take kindly the counsel of the years, gracefully surrendering the things of youth.
Nurture strength of spirit to shield you in sudden misfortune. But do not distress yourself with imaginings.
Many fears are born of fatigue and loneliness. Beyond a wholesome discipline, be gentle with yourself.

You are a child of the universe, no less than the trees and the stars;
you have a right to be here.
And whether or not it is clear to you, no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should.

Therefore be at peace with God, whatever you conceive Him to be,
and whatever your labors and aspirations, in the noisy confusion of life keep peace with your soul.
With all its sham, drudgery and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world. Be careful. Strive to be happy.

Unbelievably to me there are so many that do not have a clue nor do they care. Some of my neighbors and 20 somethings that I tell what is happening and how bad it is going to get just say oh well and go on their selfich ignorant way while those like my sons want to do their share.
I don't get it. Those that do not care or get it are going to take us down with them. I am just shaking my head! Unbelievable!
Something hit me this morning as to what Bush is doing with Saudi Arabia and the middle east and I am going to post it now. Adios!

Tomcat: love that..go placidly amidst the noise and the haste...wow...have not seen that piece for so long...made my day..

Patriot: I will come later...and read for sure. ( and about the Youngones...we can only hope they listen to us..at some point right?)

enigma
I came to the realization when my sons were in there mid teens that I had gotten luckt and raised four responsible men.
I tell them what I think but expect them to do what they think and they do. I did my job, they are good men, and I will be there as I am, when they need me.
To me the sons should rightly be around their Mother the rest of their lives but if they feel that way about the Father he is lucky and I am, having raised my best friends.

60's wisdom? Most of mine is in the form of slogans, like:

What if they gave a war and nobody came?

War is not healthy for children or other living things.

Question Authority.

Power to the People.

He ain't heavy, he's my brother.

Love is all you need.

The Revolution will not be televised, the revolution will be live ...

Peace! ~~ D.K.

If not now,... When?

Glad you liked it, e4e. :-) and thanks for the shout out. Understanding Prescott Bush makes it easier to understand the Crawford Criminal.

this was some of the most profound wisdom i ran across in the 60's. hope it helps sooth

We do not "come into" into this world; we come out of it, as leaves from a tree. As the ocean "waves," the universe "peoples." Every individual is an expression of the whole realm of nature, a unique action of the total universe. This fact is rarely, if ever, experienced by most individuals. Even those who know it to be true in theory do not sense or feel it, but continue to be aware of themselves as isolated "egos" inside bags of skin.

The hostile attitude of conquering nature ignores the basic interdependence of all things and events---that the world beyond the skin is actually an extension of our own bodies---and will end in destroying the very environment from which we emerge and upon which our whole life depends.
Alan Watts (1915 - 1973): On the Taboo Against Knowing Who You Are[c1966], Pages: 9,10

It is obvious that the only interesting people are interested people, and to be completely interested is to have forgotten about "I".

Anony: Thank you for sharing Alan Watts, I now have more reading to do on this fine man, as he did indeed have a way of looking at things...I am not sure about the destruction part of the theory, but I am going to read up and learn more....thanks.

Tomcat: You are welcome for the shout- and the Prescott Bush//Nazi thing is soooo disturbing- and yet- I was not suprized...just sickened...I mean since Bush has hijacked the WH, I have had to research- Mussoline, Stalin, and Hitler and the Klan...lovely...just lovely...

Mel; When- ONLY NOW...
DK: you lovehchild you...SO MANY GOOD ONES...
Patriot: your children were and are so fortunate to have you....namaste..

Susie: Lennon anytime ;-)

Tomcat and DK are now tied for the lead for giving us outstanding wisdom....hmm, who should I send the TIE Dye to ???

Anonymous said...

Tomcat DESERVES the full tie-dye: tshirt, jeans, socks, sneakers, you name it. Desiderata was HUGE in the 60's, all parts of it, not just one-liners.

However, I want to revise my final slogan to:

The Revolution will not be televised, The Revolution will be Live-Blogged!!!

hmm, will that earn a partial tie-dye, maybe just a scarf? ~~ D.K.
