It ain't just Poppies.....

*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*
Okay so I have repeatedly said how I feel about MSM, that being said there are a few folks that I feel are doing their Journalistic Best, Keith Olbermann being one, and the other being Anderson Cooper. Tonight on CNN he is covering the Opium Wars, and Afghanistan. And I think people do know that the Opium Heroin trade is booming. I am going to give it a Watch.I also do link to his Blog,( Over on the Blogroll), because it has some Interesting Observations by people behind the Scenes at CNN.

Click The Title of this Post, and it is a Link to the Movie "Air America", and it I think is one of the best first 3 minute Summaries I have ever seen about Heroin and the Drug Wars ( the very beginning of the clip). This was a very interesting little movie that went pretty much unnoticed. If you watch the Clip I think you will want to rent it., and not because it has Mel Gibson and Robert Downey Jr in it, but because it has Some Messeges.....Take a Look, 9 minutes you won't regret and tell me what you think.....

interesting video! You know, most people do not know opium production has been drastically reduced. Only Afghanistan has drastically increased and now produces alone more than the world can consume. Great job Bush is doing huh?

Patriot: yup,...Hmm, Warlords and the Opium Trails and the Taliban....and we send in 10,000 and no it is not enough, and no it is not a "business" that we should be near...and did Bush keep any of his promises about schools, infrastructure and roads? and heroin is now dirt cheap , cheapest drug on the planet- and not wanted anywhere, so in Texas it is cut with other drugs to make "cheese", I find it interesting that Texas is having such volumes of it.Sadly the Trade does not help the people- it is a business that is so criminally and tribally driven that creates a problem and feeds a cycle that most troops should not be in the middle of...

Very interesting movie clip, Enigma, thanks. Not being a Gibson fan, I'd never seen AA. Tying things back to Bush-I & Iran-Contra almost makes too much sense. One use the present bushcartel might have for global heroin is to control the masses. We already know they don't give a damn about humanity, except as worker slaves to support their empires.

Remember Brave New World? The drug was called SOMA & it was method of keeping people happy & not questioning things -- perfect slaves who doubled their SOMA doses whenever an upsetting thought entered their minds.

I have rarely seen more pliant people than heroin addicts. As their bodies waste away on diets of ice cream & sodas, their minds vegging out on TV or inner diversions, they think they are experiencing pure joy. They don't live long lives, they don't affect world opinion or do great deeds, they just stop breathing one day not too many years into their addiction, leaving grieving broken hearts & broken dreams behind.

Thanks for the heads-up on Anderson 360 tonight. ~~ D.K.

Dk: really good points...I do remember Brave New World..creepy book....SOMA also means Sleep ( in either Latin or Greek)...I too am not a Mel fan...I rented this movie by accident...but I actually liked it..even bought it...there is a scene where a spunky Peace Corp woman saves a village- and she steals the show....she is a heartbreaker...and manages to get her messege across about what we leave behind in these countries..I also really like Robert Downy Junior in this...and yes, I like the Political twists too....Have a good weekend...
