Thought For A New Week.....

*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*
My Grandmother Flo used to say this all the time....and it got me in the habit of saying it.She would go stand on her porch and stare at the moon, and I would hear her muttering it. I said it when I ran High Hurdles on an all Boys Team, thanks to Title IX back in the Seventies. I said it when I waited tables with a less than graceful attitude.I said it as I worked and cursed Full Moons in the ER. I said it when taking care of the AIDS patients in the Seattle Hospice. I said it when I was in labor with the world's largest watermelon. I said it when the EPA officials lied to me about "how Safe" my little Town's Drinking Water was, yet they drank canned soda at the meeting. ( and the US Attorney's office called my home to make sure I had gotten home "safe"). I said it the week of June 20th when I said I was Coming Back to Watergate Summer, for good.

I had a Bad Week last week. I had a bad Bleed that is still healing, and I guess my Invincibility Cape got torn. I don't think women that blog should have to put up with Harrassment and Death "Wishes" just for Writing a Blog, yet that is the Age we live in. But I learned something Valuable. I learned that there are still Good People in this World, and they have Courage and Wisdom they are willing to share, and that inspires me. So I am repairing that Torn Cape......

BUT I am still Here. And alot of people have Bad Weeks. But This Week will be better. It is Sunday Night and I walked the Dog, and it was a beautiful moon and I could hear Grandmother Flo say" Never Give Up."

*{Click the Title: Music is the Dixie Chicks....I think Grandmother Flo would have loved them. This is the Live Version of "Not Ready to make Nice" , from the Grammies 2007, with a beautiful introduction from Joan Baez, the video is a bit grainy, but is nice hearing these Brave Women on the stage.]

I generally think I'm failing somehow if I'm not drawing attacks. I seem to be doing a lot of that lately; not drawing attacks.
Perhaps I should stop talking about economics or downunder affairs :)
The real point is, there are lots of ways to view responses. If you have something vital to say you can often judge its value from the scale of attack.
Sometimes just caring deeply is enough to get some people going.

thanks Cartledge...I think it is best to not measure sucess in measure of trolls or attacks...but thanks..

Got Democracy...I hope it is a better week too....really..

The music attached here says it all--forget, forgive? I don't think I should. But I'm still waiting for time to heal.
Come on! Asking folks if they would like a coalition of bloggers was not some major landmine provocative, controversial issue. It was more of a yes or no question, with an opportunity to say why.
When you step back & look at it, there was no reason for things to escalate to the degree they did.

got dem: I never ever would have anticipated that I would get death threats and be called so much , just for suggesting an Idea of Unity...something good...I still think that the idea of being united and strong as a colaition , is a good thing...but we will have to work on it quietly for awhile....anyways...Please everyone DO see "Shut Up and Sing"....it is amazing. I have only seen parts of it online...I am on a list for it...but it is truly about Brave Women...and frankly I just needed some inspiration to keep at it...

BETMO: thanks- I think I can fix that cape , but an extra needle never hurt....it maybe tattered but it is still fine ;-)

Enigma - patches on your invincibility cape are like battle scars - they are the living proof of your unwary devotion to growth, the road map of the path of your life - your story. Wear them with pride - even if you prick your finger when you're sewing it on.

Holy cow woman, why the heck would anyone threaten YOU?? Looking at your blogroll made me have 'aha' moments of where I had seen you before.Your blog is truly pretty with the background colour and the pictures come out so well because of it. Mine is kinda blah but hey, too busy to worry about that now. It's too bad you felt you had to go to change your comment section but consider it a better thing than having to change your life around. Your cup is still half full and you still have plenty to say and it's possible for you to say it!
AND NEVER NEVER NE-VER..stop saying it!!
hugs
