Saturday Night Thoughts and Music 9.08.07

It has been a long week. This week my blog has a little of Everything, on the Homefront the struggle to save a wounded abandoned cat. The post about Violet very much goes with the Letter to Mr.Bush about Abandonment of America .The Friday post about The Impeachment March on September 15th, very much goes with the Post comparing America Today with 1930's Germany. And then a little snippet about Opium Wars... When there is pain and angst around me, it makes it so much harder to feed and tend Souls. So it is true that sometimes you can come here and there is Political Revelations and Angst, and other times there is just Life of Mainstream America, told through the eyes of a Nurse, a Mom.....But there is never Silence....Never.

Have a Good Night....Dance....Cool off ....Make Some Salsa....
[Click the Title :Rob Thomas and Santana Do " Smooth", Rob met his wife on this video, see if you can pick her out]

So a Bit of Music ....

Long week? Really, what happened?

Do you mean the "Larry Craig is quitting, now not quitting, now is quitting again" story?

Or Bush's visit to Iraq to see how we are "kicking ass"? And then his diplomatic stopover at the OPEC..er Apec summit to call the Aussies Austrians? Can't somebody get this idiot a globe?

Or the preponderance of reports coming out about how Iraq is getting worse every day despite the surge, none which of count cause Uncle Petraeus did not wave his magic wand of truth over them first.

Or the fact that Oprah waved her magic wand over Obama and turned him from a Presidential hopeful toad into a "this close to a sure thing" prince.

Or the new Bin Laden 2.0 and his new fuzzy tape that has all of the internet abuzz over the fact that Bin Laden may or may not have killed of thousands of Americans, but he is definitely concerned about global warming and our housing market.

I don't know Enigma, seems like the usual week of trying to wrest control of our country out of the hands of the evil empire to me.

And we couldn't have done it without you.

LET'S TALK said...

Hi Enigma, well, yes the week has been somewhat busy and I for one am very glad to say that I've made it through a rough one, awaiting this Monday at 12:30, when everything will start up again.

I'm really tired and pray that I'm able to start on the projects awaiting me next week. I like the Santana song, but for some reason I think I'll call it a week by listening to a very nice version of Whitney Houston live.

You all be safe and enjoy yourselves.

Love that song and I love Rob Thomas (he's no geek!). But he didn't meet his wife (the girl in the window) during the video shoot. They were already engaged. He did meet her backstage at one of his concerts, though.

Anony: Now we get some answers....I saw Rob Thomas on an interview- and he said he described her as a new love ( or some phrase like that)- so maybe I misunderstood...but he met her backstage...still good for him...but thanks for correcting me...( this is what happens when you watch VH1 at 3am...details get blurry)

Patriot: thank you ...I just try to spread a little soul and hope for the best....as always...

Let's Talk: thank you for the Whitney...she was so lovely when she was young...and what a voice...Now about the SMOOTH song...it kind of felt like that all week- the heat, the humidity...sitting in front of a fan....it made me crave Salsa all week...the music and the food...

Gryphen: wow...what a great synopisis...and yeah....that would make anyone tired...The Oprah Obama wand thing made laugh so hard...the Aussies, and the phoney baloney Bin laden tape,.....I was hoping that bushie would get lost in the outback...sigh...but thanks...

Aaron: yup we do need music...and more music..

Susie: you have a good weekend too..thanks for coming by...

Namaste

I'm trying to find my way back from silence. The stillness is good for my soul. Now I need to relearn the art of writing without despair...
