The Whole World is Watching....Still

9.25.07 The Monks in Burma have caught the World's attention. Peaceful Monks trying to end a Tyrannical Regime and loss of Human Rights.....The Telegraph (UK) and also the online Papers out of Sydney and Reuters ( see Chronology) are the Best Sources. These quiet Monks marching in the Streets have again shown us there is Courage In Peace.....

****9.27.07 this am 4:30am our time, it is afternoon in Asia....the journalists and bloggers have been updating hourly, and there is concern, as the monastaries and temples have been raided, atleast 300 monks arrested. The UN and The Larger Countries should be making statements, this is a Dangerous Situation when monks can be dissappeared and beaten and also jailed. The Monks are also a huge part of the Burmese Culture, and effect all levels of life there,as well as education. I have lit nine sticks and said prayers for these brave Monks, who are protesting for Freedom and Democracy, as well as protection of religion. The Pulbic has joined them and the next 24 hours could determine what happens there. We would also be very wise to note how China is involved. Today there has been very little info getting out with problems with emails, blogs, and internet service( Many feel that China is involved with these difficulties. )

*[ Click the title: Footage of the Burmese Monks, and prayer song, beautiful illegal footage, this is a regime that is as dangerous as North Korea. For 100,000 People to come out and support them is amazing. Click the title below is more History of the
Orange Revolution]*

If something like that happened in the US, the media would never cover it....unless Britney Spears was leading the march while drunk.

Maybe Bush should concentrate on his trampy daughter and her unhappy engagement:

Curious to know how exactly Henry Hager proposed to First Daughter Jenna Bush? The latest People magazine, which hits newsstands this Friday, has the details.

"It was 4 a.m. and Jenna Bush just wanted to sleep. She and her boyfriend, Henry Hager, were camping out in Maine's Acadia National Park, Aug. 15, and Hager had woken her up in the dark. His plan? To hike to the top of Cadillac Moutain, the highest peak on the East Coast. Jenna got up grogily, and the nature-lovers set off, wearing head lamps to light the way. As they neared the summit, Hager, 29, suggested stopping for an energy bar. Then as the sun began to rise, he proposed. 'I was in shock,' says Jenna, her custom-made platinum-set round diamond-and-sapphire ring now sparkling on her left hand. 'I acted the complete opposite of how I thought I would: I was quiet. He said, 'Are you exited?' I was like, 'I don't know!'"

Sounds like one of the Moral Bush girls isn't so in love after all!

Sanctions? Who will benefit from that? Unfortunately we can simply watch and pray.
The Burmese people are determined to resolve their own problems. They have resisted interference for many years now, despite the draconian military regime.
I guess after a history of being in the path of sweeping military forces there is a national desire to create their own future.

They are letting the world know what is going on by sneaking out baned videos and photos of what's going on there. So I think they ar either trying to just let the world know or asking for help in this way.
I hope it don't get as bad as it was in 1988.

I'm speechless as to my thoughts and feelings for the world situation. I can't help but think that people in America don't have concern for these Monks because they can't imagine that anyone doesn't have the freedoms we have here in the USA. It is hard to imagine other countries and trying to hold protests and demonstrations.

We hold them and hardly anyone shows up. We get to vote and a low percentage of those eligible use their right. It is shameful.

I'll send positive thoughts and prayers to the monks and all peace loving people in the world. I'll pray for peace for the rest.

Well, then, we have got to get practical about our politics. Whenever we have a demonstration, we should make every effort to persuade Britney Spears to get drunk and lead the march.

Come on people, think outside the box.

Thursday am
Junta has cracked down in the last 24 hours, arresting 100s of monks, and raiding monastaries and temples before dawn. I am deeply saddened .....

MSM here was too busy hyping bin laden tapes and brittany....

Fort Wayne, IN has the largest population of Burmese outside of Burma, so I am expecting some sort of mass demonstration here very soon.

Also, it was cool to hear "Dust in the Wind" sung in Burmese.

The song in the title is their Peace chant,. you can kind of hear it at the end of the tape..as they march...it does sound like dust in the wind..how prophetic....I have not found out if the Buddhist temple here is doing anything....I hope there is some sort of demonstration...
