thanks lisa... It is still early here...just getting ready...( ground still hard...) BUT....it's coming...and I have been watching Michelle Obam's Garden getting inspired...
That mosaic thing was over the top... I have seen people make a "garden bed" using old bed headboards & making a frame to plant things in , but that quilt thing is amazing!
containers are nice- they help keep the slugs out, here in the pacific NW. I have not seen the mega nutria critter around , but it did munch down what would have been a beautiful purple blue hyacinth bloom. Bummer.
We did some cherry tomatoes in pots last year & that was a real treat. They have such good flavor when fresh.
Fran:: I confess I am so intrigued with the Quilt project- and I have a couple of old headboards ( brass ones...)...so I am wondering if I could do it...
Now about the garden- I confess I did think of you about the Nutria- cuz I think that my garden with all of my critters out there- skunks to Ricky the Racoon to the chippy munks....and I know they don't like Containers...

These are great! And very timely for me as I switch from ground gardening in a large space to container gardening on the deck!
thanks lisa...
