Tuesday Night Music.....

Beautifully done...the way the song was meant to be....( I had this song in my head all day- it's Snowing here...it made sense).The Second version below has a beautiful video with chidren making synchronized are on the sidewalk below.....

( they did it on Idol tonight....and ruined it for us old folks...and 6-6 pointed out the Gary Jules version is even better...)

Amazing! I had only heard this on the soundtrack of "Donnie Darko". I didn't even know sang it. But in one of those strange universal coincidences, it was on my mind last week & I found myself singing it. And no, I don't watch Idol, so I didn't see it there. It was just on my mind. THANKS!

I put up the Real Versions...
are bother Versions the Original Tears for Fears and the Donnie Darko version::

"The original video of Gary Jules' and Michael Andrews' cover version of Mad World. Throughout the video children are making animated figures on the sidewalk below. (the song was featured in the movie Donnie Darko. If you haven't seen it, seriously consider it.)"
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I love both versions....but watching Idol was disturbing...so we had to listen to them the good stuff...
( sadly we have watched Idol for years...but now we just make rude commentary while it is on...)
I saw Donnie Darko and still have nightmares about that damned eye-shot rabbit! But the music was mesmerizing.
It was a disturbingly appealing movie with certain points (like the song) that stick inside your brain. If you ever do see it and find yourself wondering what it all meant, there are whole discussion groups online still trying to figure it out.
all around me are familiar faces
worn out places
worn out faces
bright and early for the daily races
going no where
going no where
their tears are filling up their glasses
no expression
no expression
hide my head i wanna drown my sorrow
no tomorrow
no tomorrow
and i find i kind of funny
i find it kind of sad
the dreams in which i'm dying are the best i've ever had
i find it hard to tell you
i find it hard to take
when people run in circles its a very very
mad world
mad world
children waiting for the day they feel good
happy birthday
happy birthday
and i feel the way that every child should
sit and listen
sit and listen
went to school and i was very nervous
no one knew me
no one new me
hello teacher tell me what's my lesson
look right through me
look right through me
and i find i kind of funny
i find it kind of sad
the dreams in which i'm dying are the best i've ever had
i find it hard to tell you
i find it hard to take
when people run in circles its a very very
mad world
mad world
enlarging your world
mad world
