LETTER FROM A DEAD PRESIDENT

To the Enigma Cafe ,
I see you sitting at the Counter sipping your coffee and dipping your godamn donuts.
Bet you didn't know that if I hadn't been President you would not be sitting there acting like a bunch of Overaged Overeducated Hippies complaining about your Godamned Government.
Bet you hate to admit I am a better President than this Texas Fraternity Twit.
( Hell, even John Dean thinks so).
Bet you even miss my jokes and off color remarks, and wish this Twit had TAPES.
Yeah, well quit your damn bellyaching and go eat the godamn motherfucking Birthday Cake over at the Enigma Cafe.
(And yeah, I can cuss all I want now that I am Dead.)
signed,
Still Dead Tricky Dick.

We can only hope that our current crook will join the former crook, both in impeachment and the hereafter or whatever .

(still laughing) ... until the very last line, I thought you were referring to Lyndon Johnson. Seriously, without my glasses on, I couldn't make out the picture ! LBJ may have been a Texan, but was never a fraternity twit, and he could swear up a storm, complete with colorful phrases (who can forget "I got his pecker in my pocket"??). And as much I disliked (ok, hated) him then, he did accomplish some good things, too (unlike mr. failure). OKay, back to my damn donuts & spilt green tea now (you always have the best tea, enigma, but I need a refill, please). D.K.

PEACECHICK: ah, you are so right....hmm, the Hereafter...may it be hotter than Hades...I thought of Nixon as a Crook...but what we have NOW is more of a Sadistic Fascist Criminal Regime- they have destroyed our Country on SO MANY levels...including crapping on our Constitution...the Founding Fathers would have thrown these hoodlums in the Stocks...But the Bloggers are the Midnight Riders...like Paul Revere bringing the Truth on a Late Night Steed...We are the French Resistance - which began as a quiet powerful Underground Newspapers written by Ghost Writers with Oh-So Interesting names...We are the Power and Strength that made this Country great Under Other Leaders....not the Criminal Regime. We must get our Country Back...and the sooner ..the better..

I doubt Mr. Nixon would cuss like that! After all, his mother was a saint!

CARRIE OAKEY: oh, my I guess you haven't Heard the tapes- quite a treat..now I don't know about his mother-
he was a bit foul mouthed( hmm, more than a bit).

DK:whelp...here we are, there you go, I did indeed fill your green tea...OMG, you are so right- LBJ would have for sure definently called ol George the Frat Brat that he is,...and yup- he could and did cuss, and yup the Pecker Tale is priceless...And yeah, to be honest he would have definently called Iraq a fucking mess by now...( have you seen Fog of War?...well I guess Bush's tale would be Frog of War, Preznit Toad Exploder's Great War...what a friggin joke...George isn't fit to lick a cowpie of LBJ's shoes).

this one rendered me speechless for quite awhile .. it got me to thinkin' so much and rory has plenty o trouble thinkin' and talkin' at the same time... a couple years back, about the year 1 pc (post-clusterfuck) ... I made that statement too, "man, nixon was better than this fucker ..." sadly I think that is true, because there are a couple of fill in the blanks to, "well at least nixon [did] or [didn't] that could be positive ... and with W there is nothing ... great post

enigma4ever said...

Hey Sappho- thanks for coming by...you keep up the great work too;-)

Rory: yup...I know isn't it weird how some of the tender ephipanies that we had a few years back now sound like jaded wisdom....I don't even want this Regime Impeached anymore- I want them Imprisoned....they are REAL Criminals...

I need to come up with a freewayblog for this post. I'll think of something.

Nixon definitely screwed the pooch as far as history is concerned...but the man knew his foreign affairs forward and back. He did have a good mind...and his 'stuff' pales in comparison to what Ms. Babs pushed out 60 years ago 'not in Texas'...

DA said...

Great laugh to start off the week. I side with mary. Let's hope he joins Nixon on short notice..

Nixon did start the EPA. Can you believe it? And he pushed for universal health care. It's absolutely true. And he supported minimum wage increases. Some of that Quaker upbringing paid off with Nixon. On the other hand, he bombed North Vietnam mercilessly in an effort to convince the NVs that he was insane, to drive them to the negotiating table. He extended that war unnecessarily for years and added thousands of US soldier's names to the granite black wall. He started an illegal secret war in Cambodia. He was as evil as Bush, but with a trace of saving grace that Bush will never have.

Thanks, Enigma, for the great Monday morning gallows humor. I did laugh out loud, especially the way Tricky Dicky signed off. Reminded me of Chevy Chase, "And, Francisco Franko is still dead" from his mock news program. Like, right, these fascists are coming back. Oh, by the way, Newsguy, Mussolini made the trains run on time, too.

Enigma, I appreciated the cheering up from my Sunday downer. Thanks.

If you want to read more about the tag line, "Francisco Franco is still dead," Wikipedia has an entry on it.

Franco is still dead

After reading the entry, I kept thinking of all the headlines since last Monday on Fidel Castro's death watch.

Sumo brought up a good point...Nixon knew his foreign affairs and had a good mind. That will never be said about Bush. I am totally convinced Bush will go down as the worst president in history.

Enigma....

I just wanted to wish you a Belated Happy Birthday on your Blog. I'm sitting here having a cup of coffee and thinking that as bad as Nixon was he's far better a President than Der Fuehrer Bush is a Dictator.

Keep up the good work.

Kathy.....

You mean the worst Dictator in History don't you?

OMG...I go to take out the trash, tidy up a bit and Voila- you all have had quite a converstaion over the Ol'Trickstir- the cockles of his ol' heart would have been tickeled...All of you had great take on this.

ANONY - PARANOID: here here what you said- "better prez than our current Dicktator" WORST in Hsitory For Sure....thanks for the Bday wishes...

KATHY: NIXON yup- knew his foriegn affairs ( even worked on it- remember the trip to China?),but like newsguy said he also in terms of Vietnam was a friggin' Disaster....but your are indeed soooooo right WORST...prez- hijacked Leader of our country yet...

enigma4ever said...

Newsguy: yup...EPA and the Clean Air Act, and the Clean Water Act, and yeah , there is that little trail of blood (Vietnam) that leads right to the Granite War Memorial...but all in all you are so right Nicon had "saving graces" that Bush can only dream about ...

Vanilla Birdies: hmmm, that is a great idea- Dead President Letters...very inspiring- might have to do something with that....

DA: Greetings..and yup Peacechick got it right....short notice is what is needed- like yesterday.

SUMO: right on...and yeah, aat this point I would rather see Nixon screwing a pooch ( ouch) than continually watching Bushco crapping on our Cosntitution and screwing ALL of us...and that might b a worldwide sentiment at this point.

PT: and yeah I do hope some Freeway Blogging comes of this- that would be awesome..and Nixon would be so proud..hehe...yeah, right..

Lamont won the primary in Connecticut. Now we really have some hope in saving OUR COUNTRY from Der Fuehrer Bush and his Gestapho Christina Mullahs.

God Bless all.

NEWSGUY said...

The hope in saving our country is a tiny candle flame at the end of a long dark tunnel. Still, it is there. And maybe as we pass thrugh this tunnel we can rescue that flame and keep it alive and use it to start some fires of revolution in this country.

Thanks for stopping by and directing me to your site! It's great!

Glad to see old Tricky Dick still spewing foul mouthed from the grave. He is a personal hero with regards to "off the record" vocabulary.

Kudos, ms e! Boy, I needed that gut-laugh. And meanwhile Miss Oakley has smuggled her Kool-Aid into the Cafe...

(forgive me, I can't resist the next)

Rev. smeg, you are the greatest Dick that ever lived.

(sorry, that was too easy)

As for the rest of the good folk here, bravo! To you all. I'm keeping this short (for a change! lol), and I have to admit I've never been Lyndon's biggest fan, but I do imagine he'd wax blue about the "Texas Cowboy" at 1600 Pennsylvania.

They asked Willie about him lately, and the Red-Headed Stranger said plainly Bush ain't a Texan, and they need to quit insulting Cowboys, as many of them are hard-working good people.

Salud, folks!

enigma4ever said...

Hmmm, Hey there BB and MEl....
whelp..
Maybe Ladybird's Old Man will have to write a letter next...
oh boy that would be a treat....
Nah...I think I will let you guys have at it...so WHAT would LBJ
say about King George ????
( I bet it wouldn't be pretty and I bet "pecker" would be in there....)

Anonymous said...

now that's a challenge, enigma. LBJ has such a rich linguistic legacy, more colorful & less mean than nixon. Speaking about nixon, LBJ said "I may not know much, but I do know chicken shit from chicken salad." About Gerry Ford, he said "he's so dumb, he can't fart & chew gum at the same time". I could imagine him saying both of those about Georgie, adding in "carpetbaggin' draft dodgin' rich kid dry drunk peckerless peckerwood."

ps, mel, who (or what) is The Redheaded Stranger? just curious -- D.K.

Anonymous said...

glenda, sounds like you have an inside source, maybe some young jr grade SS cousin of Mapplethorpe? I'd heard about LBJ's famous bathroom intimidations (the man apparently did NOT believe in private moments), but never this ... still laughing! D.K.

enigma4ever said...

OMG..what a funny story GLENDA...what a hoot..I don't think I even want to know how you know it..
and Mel- who is the Redheaded Stranger- DK is right I am now very intriqued...

Durward Discussion said...

Enigma,

For all of Nixon's sins including the paranoia that destroyed his presedency, no one ever accused him of willfully destroying the country, and his foreign policy was really quite good.

The current occupant couldn't kiss Dick's shoes and one can only wonder how much lower can he go?

Strange that an administration could make Nixon look goo.

meldonna said...

The Red-Headed Stranger is none other than Willie Nelson! One of my favorite Texans...along with Molly, Ann, and of course, Kinky, among others. Didn't mean to get obscure on you guys...hee, hee.

Did you know that Willie and his wife are marketing a brand of biodiesel under his name?

Back on topic, I'm loving all the Lyndon lore. Too funny!

Anonymous said...

mel, willie nelson was a redhead? seems like he's been gray forever & I now realize the only pics I've ever seen of his younger yrs were all B&W. (being a redhead myself, I'm always interested in my fellow redhead leaguers).

In my dad's younger yrs, I used to tell people they could spot him by looking for Kris Kristofferson, but now I tell them look for Willie Nelson. they don't make 'em like willie (or my dad, or LBJ) no more. D.K.

azgoddess said...

i am a bio-diesl user here - know all about willie - support alternative fuels!!

great comment dead dick - wish we had impeach the MF...oops, that slipped out - smile

enigma4ever said...

GODDESS: for sure....IMPEACH OR IMPRISON...THE SOONER THE BETTER...

DK: you are so funny...Kris Kris...and Willie...you made me smile again...

MEL: you really had us going-good for you..good job...too funny.

JAMIE: can you believe it - we miss Nixon..and we know yup he was a better prez...so sad..so very sad.

Hey e4e? When will we be hearing from the Gipper? I imagine he would sound a lot brighter now than that he's dead than he ever did when he was Preznit. Although he'd probably still sound like the Snuffelupagus.

hee hee hee

The Gipper has indeed decided to speak....see Saturday...hehe
