MONDAY THOUGHTS

"To put the World in order, we must first put the Nation in order.
To put the Nation in order, we must first put the Family in order.
To put the Family in order we must first cultivate our personal life.
To cultivate our personal life, we must first put our Hearts right."
Confucius

"The Hearts affections are divided like the branches of the cedar tree;
if the tree loses one strong branch,it will suffer but it does not die.
It will pour all it's vitality into the next branch so that it will grow and
fill empty space."
Kahil Gibran
Lebanese poet,artist,and mystic

Here is your Monday Mystery Quote:

"Peace cannot be kept by force.
It can only be achieved by Understanding."

Good Morning: Katrina Note for the day : Harry Connick Jr. was on Good Morning America and he sang his new single ALL THESE PEOPLE (video)...now first off the Song is Great- and it is about People being Abandoned during Katrina. It is an Intense Song- and obviously NBC ( who have no shame and no balls) did not show the WHOLE video. Matt tried to spin the moment - that it was about people coming together. God Bless Harry- he came right out and said No, it was one the most Important Moments in our History, because it showed we have a BIG problem in the Country, Racism..
Buy the CD- The Money raised goes to Habitat for Humanity.

Good for Harry Connick Jr. for telling the truth - Matt Lauer is such a fatuous twit.

But, yes, PT beat me to it: Albert Einstein.

to force peace is the opposite of it's function.

People need to understand it on it's own.

Lovely picture by the way

You're exactly right about opposite, vanilla. The only peace hate and violence ever bring is final.

Thanks for everyone coming by and sharing such warm thoughts...

the next four days I am posting my top four Katrina vidoes every day- and also writing one piece a day...I have to honor what these people suffered and endured...and what we have lost...and what horrors we have found out about ourselves as a country...
Sorry to be sad...or macabre...but reality is what it is..

It's amazing how the wisdom of the ages never seems to break through the rock-headed.

I've seen Shrub twice on TV in one day. I'm over my limit.
