Sad ending for a Wonderful Warrior Lawyer...please read his letter that he wrote a week ago...before passing this weekend.

This famous brave lawyer fought many hard battles.....but this last battle is most poignant....and significant......I was lucky enough to talk to him years ago while in the midst of a Battle for a Small town with a Large Chemical Company....he returned a call, simply to give advice and encouragement.....I followed his battles and career after that. His Courage was inspiring for a nurse in a smalltown.....I hope that his medical care was compassionate and encouraging....and that he was shown tender mercies and hope....There is no more difficult a battle....RIP Al.....

Please read more about his wonderful works here in the LA TImes.....and the NYT wrote a nice piece here.....

So funny..strange...many years ago I spoke to him,....and I was reading the article and realized WHO it was ...I was stunned...this vibrant tough smart man was gone....this man who gave me FREE advice and told me to take heart and fight on....( other lawyers were not so encouraging....or understood our plight so well...)

can not believe he is gone....

Sorry to learn of his passing, but what an inspiration he was! He fought hard against the chemical toxins killing us & the planet. And he even left behind a good idea for Obama (to follow the Euro REACH act).

I hope that Obama's people showed him this column...I really do....

( will add some other articles about him..he was amazing...)

I don't comment much these days, but I will say that after years of being hounded by the worst of what the legal (and political) profession has dumped upon society, it was a welcome respite to hear of the one remaining crusader against the avarice and blackheartedness of corporate America. As the sharks circle and feed on the chum that "the rest of us" are, I lament that his shoes will likely remain unfilled.

And BTW, Happy New Year, A.
22 more looong-ass days...
