Oregon Woman runs a Food Bank for Pets....

This is a wonderful story that really showed what one woman can do to make things better....I think in many of our communities there are people doing what they can for others....

That is quite the story. The local animal shelter has seen a rise of people just dropping off pets in the middle of the night @ the shelter because they can't take care of them anymore.
I'll admit, we have not adopted a dog from the pound, in part because our fate is uncertain, with our main breadwinner out of work.
It's not just the kibble that is the concern, it is all the other care & vet bills, etc that worry me- even though we did our own grooming, bathing, nail clipping, etc... the regular veterinary care can be really spendy.

Great they are doing this. Hope the concept takes off.

I know...if you all could you would...I too have found abandoned animals here...very sad...and the animal shelters are all full....this month instead of giving money to the food bank I gave extra to the Animal Shelter that buys food at our store...( my birthday present to myself ;-)
