FREE BURMA 10.04.07

********************************************
Click the Title for more information.Thousands of Blogs are showing support for Burma today. Please also send copies of your posts to the Media. The Monks are being killed and detained for trying to Free Their People, Their Country.
Many other posts are beautifully written on this Important Issue, Poetry Man and Betmo are must reads.
Please Pray for the Monks and the People of Burma.Namaste.

***** NEW APPROACH TO ADVOCACY: Today I watched the International News at Noon, and read the Thai Papers online, and I have comeup with a new Strategy that I want to share with you. On the News they showed the Footage that has been snuck out and it showed empty streets, and empty Temples, no monks and Barbed Wire and Military around the Temples. It has not been answered where the Hundreds of Missing Monks are , according to underground Thai reports they have been murdered and dissappeared. The Military does admit that over 2000 were arrested and detained, they will not say how many were monks, or students or citizens. I am going to start writing to Religous Organizations and NGO"S, I am perplexed WHY there is No Cry of Outrage that these Peaceful Honorable Noble Monks have been Murdered in Cold Blood. Atleast Religous Spiritual Leaders and Groups should take a Stand. And I will continue to write to MSM, atleast to let them know that they have failed. Please keep praying for the Monks and the People of Burma.

You are welcome Renegade, thank you for following it....everyday there also is new video on Youtube- most of it smuggled..through Thai resources, so if you go on you can ask a" Burma" or "monks", this works better for mynamar.....also the Thai National Paper is collating citizen reports....I will stay on this...

One week in the headlines is enough to cause any American or European to forget all about it.

Here we are though.

Beautiful job! I have been a bit busy with my sons home on leave but I have been trying to keep up with events. Aside from seeing protestors being hit with Batons and seeing one Monastary with 3 monks where there were hundreds it is odd to me but this issue does not seem to be eliciting outrage or getting much coverage.
Burma isn't important enough for larger countries to worry about. I just can't stand everything that is going on today around the world.

Stunning photos Enigma. Thank you for keeping Burma at the forefront. I had last heard - on Faux news no less - about the hundreds of monks or more that have gone missing. It was reported that they may have been killed and the bodies hidden.

I shudder at the thought.

Good image review and a reminder of what Americans will no doubt face once Bush installs Martial Law.

Thank you for your concerns, compassion for the people of Burma..., due to constant problems by TIME the comment moderation has been enabled. My apologies for the multiple offensive comments of the day, I deleted them as fast as I could.

Whenever I have Buddhist posts/updates I will have to moderate duet to Hate Emails & Harrassment.

Keep posted on Burma, YouTube still as many smuggled videos.

Ingrid's post on Burma http://bloggerroundtable.blogspot.com) pointed out that we can also write letters to the companies on the 'dirty list'.

Excellent idea to call religious organizations. I'll do the same.

Patriot: thank you for that piece of good news...I do hope that the protests are alive...I think the Military killing monks will be a problem - I hope and pray..because that is the worst thing I have heard...

M>E. : thank you....it is worth a try...

Mary: thanks- another good idea and thanks for pointing the way to ingrid's...

Deud: I hope you don't leave, and I went and told you that..please please reconsider...

awesome collage E! And don't forget the 'dirty list' you saw on my site, pls post that here as well. IT's so easy to (e)mail a few companies who do business as well. Someone (hey, I think it was Gary) said that the economic boycott worked with South Africa so why should it not here?
Anyhow, thank you for gracing my comment section, I don't think we've ever officially 'met' other than in other people's blogs,
hugs
