Harry and the Missing Waffle....

You can look at this photo and know how it ends....

I went to check the mail and came back to the diningroom and could not find the Missing waffle anywhere....A wholegrain Vanilla Frozen waffle, with butter and brown sugar set to cool on the table. I went to check the mail, because I am waiting for a package...so I came back and Lilly was sitting by the table table and Harry was gone....seen later sprawled ....with that belly....Now at the time I yelled at Lilly, "Something about being a greedy little yellow dog" .....but later I picked up Harry to give him some love....I distinctly smelled Brown Sugar and Vanilla....Apologies have been made to the little yellow dog...Clearly we have hungry scroundels....poor things.

( I will admit I am still suspicious and wonder if Harry and Lilly "Shared" the Waffle...they both looked pleased...and after all 4 days ago they figured out how to work together to get the Frig open.....An Alliance has been formed...)

you got baby cams and nanny cams. I think we need some pet cams so we can check out what our pets are up to when our backs are turned ;) I'll betcha Fido knows exactly what happens to those alter socks that always seem to go "missing" ;)

Dizzy-
you are on to something...too funny....I think we need those....even though the photo does show a nice little bulge there eh??? aha....

And about those missing socks....I usually curse the washing machine....and dryer...and then a few weeks back I moved my sofa and voila...there they were in a nice neat pile....and well chewed ;-)

that tummy sure is cute. It's hard to resist a buttery waffle.

My pooch once performed a disappearing act-- the husband put instant oats in bowls & called the kids to breakfast. When he turned the corner the bowls were empty.... he could'a swore he put oats in them-- then noticed the oats on the dog's whiskers. Busted!

Waffle breath is busted too!
That belly looks waffle shaped.

I once caught my old grey tabby cat reaching into a frying pan & VERY CAREFULLY snagging a sizzling piece of bacon. I rounded the corner just in time to see him snag the bacon slice (it had just barely started to fry). I let out an alarmed cry (really, afraid he'd burn himself)! He turned around to face me with the bacon dangling from his claw (BUSTED!), shook his paw & bacon fell to the floor ... he pounced down, grabbed the slice & ran out the kitchen cat door with it dangling from his mouth to eat it on the patio!

This was the same cat that once almost gave me a heart attack when I opened a kitchen drawer where I kept linen towels & potholders, to find him snuggled up inside. At first, the linen seemed alive, then his cathead popped out, he blinked his eyes & yawned at me, like ho hum, just another day sleeping in the drawer!

ps, watch out for those pet alliances. hide your credit cards. you know they've been watching you shopping online & they like the sound of potted jam-fed goose liver delivered to your door!

very funny ....

yeah, I was in the kitchen leaning out the back window talking to a neighbor, heard the frig open behind me and assumed it was 6-6....

so I turned around after I was done talking and there the waffle meister was IN THE FRIG, pawing the butter containter on the 2nd shelf...and the proud little dog sitting watching- panting...smiling....

The Butter Bandits....

Monday night Diva stole a whole piece of cheddar cheese...with unfortunate results during the night and next day. It disagreed with her. I won't say more.

A long time ago we used to have two cats who worked in tandem. One would jump up on the counter and knock the box of Tender Vittles onto the floor. Then the other one would rip open the packet and then they'd both eat it. I caught them at it once.
