UPDATE: 2..23.08
I had a really really bad Day yesterday and ended up spending a huge chunk of it in the ER, and we know since I am uninsured that will be so costly.I had a really bad fall and bruised my HipBone , atleast we "think" it is not broken....long story. BUT ALL I do KNOW is that I have tickets for 6-6 and I to see Obama tonight...and we are going....Because Obama matters to Both of us, more than I can say.

{{{(Explanantion: I am just asking that people watch the Video attached to the Title, and think about What we have lost these past 7 years, and and what we need to heal. I support a Obama & Edwards Team,In 2004 he gave the Speech at the Democratic Cinvention, this video is made from the speech-it is clips woven together.( I encourage you all to go see the WHOLE speech on Youtube, parts 1&2, it is about 15 minutes total on Youtube, video here is 4 minutes.) The Media has spent alot of time showing Hillary speeches, but I wanted folks to be able to see a piece of Who he is. Just for this weekend I wanted people to be able to think on this and see him. We don't have to agree....that 's okay....as long as we all are thinking about our future. I also posted this video because many people abroad don't know about him.And they too are worried about our future.}}}

In 2004 as an Exiled Refugee Whistleblower in my own Country I was living in an old dilapitated Rooming House in California with my son.By the Time we had gotten there, we had lost Friends, a Home, pets,Meaningful Work, and a marriage of many years , ALL Under the Bush Regime. And in many ways Faith was Lost, Faith in Justice, and Faith in Our Own Government. We were just one family of Millions that have suffered under This Regime. But that summer my son was very invested in the Election, we watched Cspan, Crossfire, and read everything we could. We were Huge John Edwards Supporters in 2004 and still are today. I was trying to desperately teach my son that we were still part of Our Country...but Hope was beyond fragile at that point.I Like so many Other Americans , Under the Bush Regime had Lost Everything.....and yes, I was indeed Hung Out to Dry by my Government....So I was Looking for Something...
Someone to say This Is Not Forever, There is Change.....

In 2004 Barack Obama spoke at the 2004 Democratic Convention....I was standing washing dishes and I heard this Voice From the TV and this Voice spoke of E.Pluribus Unum and Unity. Out Of Many We Are One. I stopped what I was doing and with my son I watched the TV and we listened. And 6-6 ,barely a teen , said " He should be President". He still believes that.

I never ever forgot That Moment.

Please watch the Video in the Link, it has Highlights of that 2004 Speech. ( when you go to watch it, on YouTube you can see Parts 1&2. Please watch ALL of it.) And if you have time go get the Book "The Audacity of Hope" , his Book. I bought it for myself for Christmas last year......That book has given my son and I something to Hold On To...Hope.

But Since living here since 2005, I have watched and seen so many others that need Hope and to no longer be disenfranchised and Invisible. Homeless VETS with PTSD that I worked with downtown, the people losing homes by the thousands ( Slavic Village is just ONE devastated neighborhood), More than 250,000 Unemployed Factory Workers, and So Many young people whose schools are in shambles.....But So Much of the pain I see we have seen across the Country.....So many people needing Hope...and to feel Empowered and a part of the Country...again.

But this is not just about us.I tell my pieces of my tale here on this blog, because for People that Feel Left Behind, Abandoned, Disenfranchised by this Government he represents Something..I have been watching him and he Connects. He Reaches Out. He Cares. He has Vision. He Has Courage. He Has Hope.

Have a great day....

I highly doubt Edwards would want to run as Veep. Perhaps we might see Edwards/Obama. Who knows.

How come Oprah isn't getting credit for this? Obama was trailing Clinton until Oprah came to campaign for him. She's the real kingmaker, yet I see nary a mention of her in all the press I've read on this. Do we all get new cars?

We are on other side of the divide on this one and I want the woman who has not only dealt with all aspects of government but all the aspects of being female as well. You need experience and ideals to make change and I still think Obama isn't quite ready for prime time.

Of course, I will vote for th nominee whomever that might be. Seeing the back of Bush can't come soon enough for this country.

In the meantime, when the sun goes down, it will be Twelfth Night. Put on your costume, dancing shoes and mask (you still get to be incognito) and hop over to my place this afternoon (I'll put it up early for the Europeans).

Hi Enigma, as you know, I share your enthusiasm for Obama. I will check out the post on Enigma Cafe as well.

I have a feeling it's going to be hard to get any of the current candidates to agree to be VP to one of the others. They are all "alphas" - I expect someone like Richardson as the running mate of whomever gets the nomination. We shall see.

It was definitely a shock to the establishment, which can only be a good thing.

I would also prefer Edwards/Obama, but among Democrats, it's as simple as ABC:

Anybody
But
Clinton!

Obama is a good man and genuine. He reads like a book! I believe he will be the next President if there are elections and they aren't stolen again.
I think an Obama Edwards ticket would be great because I like and respect Edwards too. Anyway I think an Edwards Obama ticket is fine with me and more likely primarily because of age and experience. Take care!

Thanks for posting those likns-- and you son nailedit. Out of the mouths of babes.... he should be president.
I find Obama refreshing, and his extensive political science major background lead me to believe he may be an excellent diplomat.... at least he has a clue re other cultures and how other government systems function. Unlike the decider, who thinks he can go about the planet installing democracy at gunpoint. Ugh!
Sad to say it, but after listening to Bush for 8 gawdawful years, hearing someone who can speak AND think at the same time, and construct eloquent paragraphs of thoughts & ideas, is a shining beacon of hope.
Ever notice that perplexed look people get on their faces when listening to Bush#2 speak live? That *What the hell*? kind of expression.

Yes, Obama is inexperienced as president but so are most, and I said this early on-- if what we have now is the face of "experience", than give me inexperience any day. Enough already!
Entrenched good ol boy systems have failed us miserably.
The times, they are a changin'

Patriot: Thanks...I think as a team they could help get this Country back on track.I spent alot of time this week listening to my son, and he made me really look at things differently and listen to him differently....so I went back this week and looked up that 2004 speech, and realized that my son really Heard this man that night, and it gave him Hope ....that really shook me this week...because you know I have been a strong supporter of Edwards.....We can NOT let any more elections be stolen.

Tomcat: ABC..I like that...and yes I would love for them to team up.

Graeme: I think it would shock the system of this country.....but in a good way...not like what Bush has done...

Mauigirl: I think Edwards may be alpha, but I also think that he realizes that this country is in trouble...and that a team , a really good team needs to be at the helm.

Jamie: I hear you...and the sooner we get Bush out the better....as a Mom and a Nurse, Hillary has let me down...Her healthplan is not good enough, it does not help lower middle class, it does not alleviate the accessibility and affordability issues....and the thing that really concerned me, on her website- under Issues, she does not even mention Iraq as an issue.
But believe me, as a woman , I did indeed look hard at her...and I realized that I was looking at her because of Bill, and that is wrong. I try to never measure people because of WHO they are married to.

But I agree, ANYTHING other than More Bush Regime.....

Neil:
If there were free cars, I would be first in line at this point.....I think Oprah just wanted to help with his Exposure, especially with Women and in the South. The Media has been very busy telling women that they need to Vote for Hillary, because she is a woman. ( Interesting that they don't tell Blacks to Vote for Obama.....kind of silly really.) I think Oprah, from what she said in her speech that I posted earlier this month, she realized that she had to get involved and speak out for what she believes in.

DIVA: I am not sure what Edwards wants, I think when he ran with Kerry it was a different situation. I do think Edwards might team with someone that has the same goals of Change that he has.....( BTW don;t worry I am not just going to blog politics....it will be other things as well...but this weekend I wanted to make sure to speak up....and speak out.....)

Edwards, backed by Nader could easily keep his populist bonafidies by taking the VP position and show is real humility..time will tell. got kucinich behind Obama, Nader behind Edwards. It could be a proud alliance.

I am hopeful and i think we may FINALLY see that youth vote and inner city vote materialize , that in itself is beyond exciting. Now off to watch the debates.

and Hiyya Diva Jood so glad to see you Back !

and on the elections ..see bluebloggin apparently the F E C is shut down ! that means all public finance money is in jepordy as well as election watchers..we got to expect there will be major obsticles in the inner cities, and else where..all kinds of dirty tricks. I don't have more details now..but apparently a partisian was put up..and now things are in limbo. Again nytexan at bluebloggin has the post for more details..no other coverage about it except in the Washington Post as far as i know.

I think Edwards and Obama did well and Hillary cried the same old lines of 35 years of change.

Can't figure out where a one term Senator who spent 8 years having teas around the world with ladies groups has 35 years of change.

Camelot 2.0?

Maybe. It's only taken 230+ years for a black American to be viable and have a serious chance of becoming president.

Obama is bright, informed, decent, and he cares about this country and all its people. White, Black, men, women, gay and straight.

I remember last summer when the pundits, the pollsters and the closet racists said he had a snowball's chance in hell of beocming president. Well, to them I say, just wait.

Soon we will be saying, President-elect Barack Obama. The 21st century is here.

enigma4ever said...

Christopher: Hey there ....FINALLY FINALLY FINALLY.....WE HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR SOOO LONG...everything you said above is soooo true- you are really eloquent- I noticed that over at Lydia's too....

Renegade : I watched how he handled Hill..he was amazing...careful..artful....skilled....I was really impressed...

DK: the debates are soooo amazing..the repugs - have maalox...and DEMS....Hill is well...a flop...

PP: I will look up your concerns...and let you know...watch Obama and Edwards at the debate....we have Something Going Here Folks....the Revolution...the Change is Here...The Moment is being Siezed and held Dear....we the people- are making change in spite of Rovian Media Tactics....and Bushco Fascist WH.....WE THE PEOPLE are remembered by OBama..and Edwards....the Change is here.....

12MN Obama is on cspan..HUGE crowd...must see

Cartledge: I know...so true....and the Rowboat is really leaky right now- thank you Bushco.....we are doing our best ....I promise....( even us crappy rowers....)

Can't wait till tuesday, Obama Edwards ba bye hill ! I could feel the love between Edwards and Obama. They really both did soo well, and Hillary was snotty and RUDE ! she just was. and did u see that footage before the debate..her machine there with their signs..talk about smoke and mirrors..it was all shillery signs. I think both Obama and Edwards did an excellent job or articulating their plans and handling her down right sniping and stealing their ideas !! - Richardson i actually found myself 3 times ..shouting out loud to the TV STFU u F.Tub of lard. i know , not nice. But what dork eh..and it was priceless to see those two R and Clinton together Reminding the voters JUST what the clinton administration actually wrought.

I feel hope, and my more radical friends are pointing out ..oh they are all so bought etc..But dammit we have to start somewhere. and give these imperfect people a CHANCE to get this country out of the clutches of corporate forces/globalization etc. Obama and Edwards and a democratic congress, has a very good shot at that..and its gonna take time. But they have the passion.

The rethugs..gawd i cannot make up my mind which one the most lame..cause not a one of em is worth a tinkers damn ! We are gonna see historic Democratic voter turn out..yes we are ! This is gonna be one exciting yr. Horray for our SIDE !

I do not have a clue who is the worst in the Mortician Convention....I could not even guess..I love that Mitt was not loved and wooed as the Wonder Boy....

I love that Obama and Edwards were indeed good together..and seemed to be actually connecting and even calming Hill..( or Shillery as you call her) I watched her speech today in NH....and the big problem is that ONE- she does NOT listen to folks...and two_ she does NOT CONNECT...that is what Edwards and Obama have....it is a touchable...palpable quality....it is REAL...

D.K. Raed said...

I just finished watching it all. Did'ya notice after the repugs were done, no one wanted to shake Mitt's hand? ewww, so greasy, he slides palms. Then during the between-stage-change, dems & repugs pretend to greet ea other, everyone is trying to be the bigger person, giving little back-slappy hugs. McCain tried to put his arms around Edwards. No dice. Someone off-camera (I think Geo Stephanopolous) says, who's gonna kiss Hillary? Last shot was of McCain & Hillary schmoozing. recall she was a repub herself when she met Bill in college. Gaaaah!

To me, this was the most debate-like "debate" we've seen. Obama & Edwards make a great team. Hillary made some good points, too, but then she keeps bringing up her 35-yrs of public service. Puh-leeze ... she's held higher elected office exactly 1-yr longer than Edwards, 4-yrs longer than Obama. BFD. Sorry, now I'm being rude.

OK, here's something I learned tonight as they were all making notes. Obama is a lefty! I never noticed this before. Did you know everytime a lefty runs against a righty for first-term US Prez, the lefty wins? There were only 7 (so far). Check it out: Garfield, Hoover, Truman, Ford (shouldn't count him, he was never elected), Reagan, GHW Bush, Clinton.

Cartledge said...

Okay, here is something I learned tonight. Next time I have to opportunity to manage a campaign I'm going to hire the two red heads.
enigma is brilliant at drawing out the gut feeling out there, and never yells WRONG WRONG WRONG! That is a talent.
d.k. on the other hand talks from the gut with the most incisive language. "so greasy, he slides palms" You guys are the best. Thank you

D.K. Raed said...

thanks, cartledge, you can always count on me for a disgusting phrase or two. and you know I tone it down for public consumption, because enigma keeps a foul-jar that would make her rich if she enforced the fines!

Hey there I am back..sorry little late..went over to Barack's site....it was hopping...wow...

Anyways...
Cartledge- Red and Red here- we will work for you anytime....BUT no Long undies out on the Campaign trail ( okay??? hehe..)....and no we won't wear orange- I know that would be unsightly....and ohm my I am blushing...I am brilliant...????oh if only that were true..and DK always keeps it all in perspective - Mitt and his hair...( you could lube his car with him there...)
And the handshaking part was soooo strange...It was like watching to Enemy Teeball teams reluctantly Meet&Greet so they can leave for the Pizza Parlor.....and OH my..Some Stupid Commentator had to root for a "kiss" for Hillary- so let me get this straight- because she is a "girl" she has to be kissed ??????What the heck Is that some kind of weird ABC /Disney Rule? or some kind of DC rule.....yikes...

( yuck....and the McCain Hill snuggle moment....blahhhhh...and just for the record McCain did recieve one of Bush's Annointing Kisses last Election...remember?????)

Okay I am done being naughty...it was really lovely hearing what people thought..and are thinking... and especailly you Cart...you are our Number 1 Down Under Man ( sorry Daniel....but we just don't see you enough...)..thanks for being here and it is nice to know that we are not too rude....

DK: I knew I could count on you to bring up Mitt's hair and the Big Love Moment....Now about Mitt's hair ..

, I have to tell you, I watched Mitt at a House Event early in the day ( all the repugs have their little House Events on cspan- get popcorn- they are very entertaining- you can watch them sweat as they talk to empty chairs and put up with sleeping relatives and yawns and rude Questions about Unemployment, Economy, and Iraq, and HEALTH stuff....anyways He has this way of rubbing his hair back when he has to think, so he is at this event, and behind him is standing this woman, and she CRINGES when he does it....just like you and me that just really nauseates me...uergh...

( Mitt, Freddy Living Room events- were awful- do watch...Better than any scifi horro flick...)

AND then there was the RUDY event where he arrived on SEGWAY...holy crap ????what the????the looks he got were priceless ..now this makes me wonder- is he really better? I really wonder if he had a little min stroke ( TIA ) down south and that is why he has beeen hiding in Florida.....it was so creepy and he arrived and had this macabre grin as he pulled up ( reminded me of Arrested Developement the brother Job always sneeks up on people on his Segeway)...anyways..

Back to the debate....
the Repug one looked like a Mortician Convention or Morticians meeting for drinks at the Golf Course....like if we just gave them a bottle of bourbon and some peanuts they would have been happier....but that they did not give a crap about all of us...

and Charlie was a terrible moderateor- the worst yet...( how many times am I going to have to say that...)...and he picked a fight about the Surge???oyw...

anyways..it is all up the NH Voters..let's see what they do..Hope and pray they Get it right....

enigma4ever said...

OOhhhh One more thing....
So this am I watched Cpsan call in,...and they were asking callers WHO they would vote for if they had to vote...
and there were NH callers...lots...

9 out of 10 were for Obama...( it was like 17 calls- and that includes REPUGs and Indi's.....)

and there were 2 for McCain and NONE for Hill...and three for edwards...and a bunch said they wanted Obama and edwards together...I was giddy at 6am...Drunk with happinesss...

and

DK...just read what you wrote...I the Queen of Foul Language....hmm, I think I lost that Jar....or 6-6 got it....it was keeping him fully stocked in Itunes cards for awhile.....

Have a good night folks...Have HOPE

Cartledge said...

because she is a "girl" she has to be kissed Now you have me wondering which star system I came from… on two counts. I don’t kiss blokes and I’m not convinced about Hill’s gender. I asked Bill when he was out here and he just laughed.
But that apart you two reds really do have a wonderful turn of phrase, as we wordoligists put it. Not only that, you are further left than me and not the slightest bit boring. I tend to find the left terribly boring. And half of you love cricket. Seems to me American and the world can’t lose with that combo.
But I am waiting for Super Tuesday…

LOL....you are making me laugh so hard...Hmmm, you asked Bill ? and he just laughed...oye,....whelp that says it all....well...we strive to make sure none of us are bored...that is for sure....now if Saving the World was all about Cricket...or"playing cricket" as my grandmom used to say...and fiesty redheads...well, then things would be soooo much easier....

Obama is up over Hill in the Polls by ten points in NH, I am beyond happy...I am thrilled...Over the Moon...

D.K. Raed said...

Thanks for the great post-mortem, Enigma! Just the thought of Mitt palming his oily hair & then shaking hands ... no wonder they were all clapping backs, not grabbing his hand afterwards. And of course, I recall McCain getting his bush-kiss, just like Lieberman, but Hillary did not let McCain kiss her, to her credit, just a little snuggle. And yeah, now that you mention it, that was a strange off-camera remark about who would kiss Hillary. Very sexist, now that I think on it. What would've been funny is if Mitt had leaned over & given her a little peck & then she very carefully wiped her lips on her sleeve!

I've missed all those NH house events, those stilted living room cookie parties this year. Maybe I'll try to catch some tomorrow. It'd be worth it just to see Rudy on a Segway. Maybe he'll pull a Bush & fly off into the shrubbery.

Now Charlie Gibson, I haven't thought much of him since he let GWB walk all over him in a big 2004 Bush-Kerry debate. That was when he weakly attempted to enforce the pre-agreed upon (written by rove) rules, but Bush decidered to go cowboy & rode poor Charlie like a brokeback mule.

Sorry to hear about your foul-jar. It was probably so full, it exploded! oh ps, Cartledge (who I just crossed with), we come from the same star system, except ours seems to have evolved some absurdly quaint rules about kissing women, but not men, and it's actually quite demeaning, on a par with gloved hand kissing, like in Gone with the Wind.

Cartledge said...

Well I asked Bill for a Romeo y Julieta Cigar first, then had to cover my tracks when he explained he could not officially acknowledge a Cuban product. I guess that might have coloured the rest of the conversation.
But Obama blitzing the polls, who would want to kiss Hill? Bill might have been the first black president but Barrack might well be the rest of our lives. Well insofar as he could change the way things work. Fortunately Obama isn’t my type, and as far as I know he doesn’t have a stash of Romeo y Julieta.
I won’t ask d.k. about the sexual proclivities of that star system. I’m finding the politics bordering on over excitement as things stand.

enigma4ever said...

DK: Omg...the McCain Hill snuggle...yuck...I can;t believe Georgie-used-to-work-for-Bill-b4-bill-did-monica-Stephonoplus....sigh...yeah, I guess Hill NEVER gave him a kiss...she would have to bend down and be nice ....okay..that was catty of me...but even when she goes to events she does not bend down and talk to people..she acts very Entitled.....

Charlie and THAT debate- the one that Bush was WIRED and had a Box on his back feeding him the ANSWERS.....Rove must have been hidden in the floorboards.....and the strict rules..and yeah , tonight Gibson was debating them...EXplaining to them WHY the Surge was Sooooo successful....what the....??? "Charlie was a Brokeback Mule.."....

Okay when Rudy came gliding in on his Segway ahhhh Giddy and Grinning....it was soooo creeepy and the people were stunnned, like they had just seen the pope streak nude across the stage- their mouths were open....I did indeed find myself hoping for disaster....or bad brakes atleast....

well, great now I have to sleep and I am going to end up dreaming about Segways, Hill and "kisses" and Mitt's hair and ????

Maybe I will head to cspan and see what other wonders will contribute to my Mylanta Fund...
( btw the lemon creme on ice- shooters are lovely with any debate...jus saying..)

enigma4ever said...

Cart ....you are knocking my socks off..you really shared a smoke with "BILL"???? okay..so did he Inhale???? You know watching these debates I do find myself feeling soooo sorry for him...really....wow...so you met Bill.....

Okay....about Obama....he would share a cigar with you...I saw him on an interview and he does smoke..and has had a cigar or two and played poker too....but his wife wants him to quit....

so when will you share a cigar with Red or I ?

( confession: I smoked Tipparillos and clove cigarettes in my youth...)

Cartledge said...

Bill is idolised in Australia, but I was in Canada most times he came here. In fact I thought I enjoyed a cigar until I was introduced to a real Cuban, in BC, by a bunch of Canadian Liberals (party not inclination).
Never could understand the ego issue with Cuba and Castro had to stop in Vancouver while I was there.
But the truth is, I lie with a straight face. Except for falling in love with a decent Romeo y Julieta. The truth is so easy to be honest about :)
As for sharing a 'good cigar' with the two reds, sans Bill style... The stuff of dreams.
I still think Bill was a great president, given the times and dynamics. I live in hope that Obama will take it all the next major leap.

And in the Illinois State Senate he abstained on over 100 votes - they would have locked him into decisions he might have to explain sometime, like now. I really don't like that Oprah shared her personal magic with him.

Obama sings 'change, change, change" but where's the beef? where's the past in his life to show he has lived the integrity he discusses? And why does his wife feel compelled to go negative on him?

enigma4ever said...

Weezie:
I think the "experience" card doesn 't matter the way it used to ( after all Bush ruined plenty of Companies...and he got elected...and Hill was a WIFE...that does not count as "Leadership Experience"...)

I think for me- what really got me and HOW I learned about him as a Man of Integrity was HIS books- please do read them, the the first book 1997 , about his Growing Up, and his dad, then read the Audacity to Hope....it is stunning about WHAT has happened to OUR ability as a nation to Hope- I read this over at year ago- when I did not know that he would run for president...

And then encourage you to watch the video I have linked- and watch the Whole speech and his recent speechs...it is like watching RFK from 68...( and I never ever thought I would say THAT)...He talks about Healing...and repairing this country and all the damage of the Bushco Regime...and there is Plenty...

When you watch the Recent Speeechs there is Something REAL going on, he is CONNECTING AND REACHING OUT TO PEOPLE..... it is palpable..after all of the Bubbleboy Bush years, to have a real person want to work with US the people..it is Critical for us all to heal...that we have someone that is ONE of us....NOT some BIG DC person...
watch him talk to people before and after events- that is when you see the Person...the Man.

I like Edwards alot too...and I hope and pray that they work together....

I have to say this...for me after 8 years of Sheer Refugee Hell for me to Trust Someone, Root For Someone, to Believe in Someone is Huge......

In Many Ways, we as a Country have Lost OUR Humanity....this man may be the Key to Finding Our Way Back.....

namaste.

Enigma, I'm afraid I agree with Jamie, that Obama might not be seasoned enough to take over as President, especially with the mess he would have to clean up. We shall see, I guess. As I have said before ... the world is watching.

enigma4ever said...

All I am asking is that people watch the video on this post..and Listen with their hearts and their heads, but Hill is now free falling in the polls. and she has been terrible in the trail and in the debates.....she has nothing to offer the Suffering Middle class...her only experience is that she was Clintons' wife - I am sorry , but that is not enough....and she has not looked presidential in these debates...

Seriously, if she was not married to Bill and had the name Rodham...she would not even be on that stage...in this race.....and would anyone vote for her WITHOUT Bill ? And the answer is NO.

Just give him a listen...but I think it has to be a team..Edwards and Obama...

Sorry....At this point it is Not about Exprience- it is about who will unite and who will heal....and who will bring Justice and End 8 years of Misery and the Iraq War....

And Healthcare wise, she is a flop- the joke is that she has the same Healthplan as Rudy...(urgh)...
Mandatory Healthcare...and "tax credits"...that will not help most of those 47 Milion Uninsured....at all or the Guard that return and after 2 years have Nothing...

and the Papers all over the World also are watching Obama....headlines in over 2000 papers this weekend- Worldwide....

Obama as a Senator has a stronger record than Hill- and all she has is 20 monthes more as a Senator- that 's it....for her "experience".

Thanks for listening Josie...and you know I am grateful that you all care up there....and more than anything we want Leadership that will reassure the rest of the world...and clean up this mess....

thank you...

enigma4ever said...

It is not early, sadly, this is going to be a helluva battle...and also Move fast...because the Clinton Machine is driven with more money than anyone can imagine...and the Media is scrambling because it is not going the way they wanted...it is people driven...So let's climb on the Hope Train...and root for Obama and Edwards to team up...because together, they can make things happen...in ways we never imagined...WATCH the videos that I post..they are amazing...Obama has Something we have not seen in over 30 years...

The Whole World is Watching....

Larry is correct.

USA Today/Gallup has Barack Obama up 41 to 28 over (S)Hillary Clinton in today's poll.

This is huge, folks.

Double digit numbers over the Ice Queen.

I am praying that Edwards is Pulling Second....

( Her speechs there this weekend- the ones I watched online- there was not the Excitement the Love that there was for Obama or even Edwards.Papers abroad are still on fire for Obama)

( BTW early morning call in on cspan- STILL Obama Inde's and Repugs still calling in for him)

Obama is a great orator, I'll give him that, but look at his record...not so hot. You'll also see that he's missed 80% of his Senate votes while campaigning, more than any other Senator that is running for President from both sides of the aisle. He used his Senate seat as a springboard to his presidency, not to be a Senator of Illinois.

I see people flocking to him and to listen to him speak...if you are really listening, you will see him using the same catch phrases, "change" and "hope". He did the same thing when he was campaigning as Senator and he's done nothing to change anything in Illinois. He's too busy dreaming of the Oval office to care about us in Illinois.

He reminds me of Bush and the Republican party with his rhetoric and no one thinks to look at his record. He's made few mistakes, but he's also done little, IMO.

enigma4ever said...

Mary Ellen: So Sorry, But we will disagree....But Please watch his speechs and listen to him on the Debate and go to his website and read his policies. Really Listen....with your Heart, not just your head.,,,Both Obama and Edwards are talking CHANGE....Not More of the Same.

I am not saying he is perfect, and I know he needs a really good team....and some of his plans even need Change and tweaking. ( and I don;t agree with him on everything- esp nuclear. ) BUT on 80% of the issues I support him. BUT For most of the Country, he is talking on Issues that are Real...acknowleging that we as a Country are in REAL trouble....NOW is his time.

Hillary calls herself the "Clinton Machine" She has dehumanized herself and WHAT we need, None of us NEED a Machine. We need Humanity Again...

If ANYONE reminds me of Bush it is actually Hillary, esp her "Iraq" plan ( which is NOT even Mentioned as An Issue on her website). And Her Healthcare Plan is still a Repug Plan, It is not about Healthcare for all, at her speechs this weekend- I really recognized HOW Bad it is( she takes NO questions on it, unless they are plants)....She offers a plan that makes "Insurance MANDATORY" and "tax credits" ( funny thing- it is the same plan that Rudy was talking in Living Rooms on Sunday)....Tax Credits Too ( well, that means nothing to someone in my bottem of the heap tax bracket)...She does not address any issues about how Insurance is Running us ragged and sick...because she has taken way too much money from them...

Her "Experience" level is that she was BILL"S wife....sorry, but that is NOT enough...and not good enough. And when I have watched the Debates she talks about things that Bill did, sorry, but she did not Lead- Bill did. MOST people that are voting for her, are ONLY Voting for the CLINTON Name- NOT her....if he was not in the Picture, she would have NOTHING....Before she came to DC with Bill, she was an attorney in a Private Law Firm...that is not experience for Leadership....

When I watch her in Meetings with THE People, she acts Entitled and answers in a condescending manner, there is NO warmth, NO Compassion....

I don't need another RICH Suit making decisions that drastically affect my life and the life of my neighbors and my son.....

HERE IS WHY I really don't like her. I NEVER got a single Email from Her People, UNTIL she lost in Iowa, then she emailed, wanting money so she could run attack ads on Obama. That is what really disgusted me. That is just plain Rude.

(( Monthes ago I sent out letters offering pro bono help for DEM campaigns, offering Policy Research on Health Issues- Most Candidates responded graciously and were polite... HILL 's people never even responded. I offered Something and remained Invisible- just like with Bushco.I offered because I wanted to help, and be a part of Change. That was a messege to me in many ways.I offered because her Health Plan is too Repug in stance. BUT, now I hear from her people when she wants money to attack another candidate. For me, that lacks Integrity.)

All I am asking is that for me...read my story below...WHAT he means to my son and the Young People of this Country. I live in a Fairly poor, lower middle class Disenfranchised part of the Country, but after traveling the country these past 4 years, I can tell you people are hurting Nationwide under Bush. We NEED change.

We need to End the Buscho /Clinton Era of Dynasties that leave people behind...

It is time for Someone to Bring Us Together...It is time for Someone that is NOT a DC Insider.

Cartledge said...

Prof. Goldblatt Ph.D. - nice handle, it is a shame the lack of intellectual integrity casts doubt on its veracity.
One of the things which must change is unsupportable, emotional sniping.

enigma4ever said...

Prof. :
He voted to fund with the troops and their care, and with certain provisions added, but the DEM leadership in House and Senate has NOT Stopped the Funding or the Rhetoric for the Funding- that I see as a Bigger problem. ( as a Junior Senator, he does not have clout to stop the funding. Hillary from NY, also in a way was in the same situation, but she took it a step further, and did sign the Iran Leibermann Bill) Obama has been very clear that he will fund New War Efforts or extended funds, and that he will bring the troops home, with a set timetable.

He signed current funding, not Future Funding, or Surges or More troops, or New War Efforts.

I reccomend watching his speechs, over on cspan, and also read his website for ALL of his positions.

( It is unfortuante that we have been in this debacle of the Illegal Iraq War and as a Country lost so many lives and money, as well as depleted our Own ReSources. Bush has economically crippled our Country...and financially it will take years to repair the Economic Damage here and abroad. )

Sadly All in DC and many across the Country will have to help CLean Up the Buscho Mess...the Iraq War has created a list of Disasters, the financial aspects, the Diplomacy, the VETS that come home, and the economic impact on ALL- Businesses to Americans.

It is Important to read ALL the candidates websites, and watch their speechs and meetings on cspan ( online you can watch all of them).

enigma4ever said...

Thanks Cart:
That is a problem that comes up also.....I think the main thing is that to be a part of the Process, even to Vote, Research, Read, Watch and Listen.

And when I say Listen or Watch, I don't mean just watch Hardball, I Mean READ online papers, newspapers...and when I say listen and watch, I mean watch and listen to THE PERSON. And when you read their websites , you learn about their policies and programs and Goals.

When I say think with your heart, and you head, I say that because after 7 years of Hell and Fear and hate Mongering, we need HOPE , and we need a Leader that has Humanity and Compassion.

BUT the other thing that Obama has is Intellect, and he thinks through ALL that is presented to him, he is a Cerebral person with problem solving skills . We also need that , we have not had that in many years...it is WHY and HOW we ended up in Iraq.

enigma4ever said...

OOOps CORRECTION: I MEANT TO SAY to Prof Goldblat.

Obama did not sign and will not sign any NEW War efforts or legislation.

Well here are some TRUE numbers, Enigma, from Dixville Notch NH, the earliest primary voters. You know they show up at midnight to vote & by 12:03, it's all over. They have 2 registered Dems out of a total of 17 voters this yr. Here's the breakdown: Obama 7, Edwards 2, Richardson 1, Clinton 0; Rudy 1, Romney 2, McCain 4. You know what this means? Obama got CROSSOVERS from a VERY repub precinct. And Clinton couldn't even get any of the 2 registered Dems. This is shaping up VERY interesting!

enigma4ever said...

WOW...and Edwards was more than her.....WOW...

I watched FOX tonight ( I know,,,I know...)BUT...here is what they reported that was very very interesting...apparently McCain is worried that he is not going to get ALL of the Independents...or Most of them ( that he has been counting on a certain number)....and that he is worried...Quote of the Night, Laura Ingram " I really do feel very sorry for Hillary". ( I am sorry but WHEN was the last time they said anthing like compassion for ONE of the DEMS ...OR the other twist on that is, Were THEY secretly rooting for her ????)

Obama did his last official Speech for the Day , I just sent you the video of Both the Waiting Line and the Crowd at the School, you have to see it, you can not even see Wall or Floor- PACKED...on a cold slushy night in NH at 11pm at night, people waited for hours....Unreal...

I'm reporting the Culinary Union in Nevada, with 60,000 members, is about to endorse Barack Obama for president.

This is a huge coup for Barack's campaign and his hopes to carry the great state of Nevada before going into Super Tuesday.

Meanwhile, I'm also reporting that Barack Obama has pulled ahead of Hillary Clinton by a 20 point margin in South Carolina.

I'm also hearing rumors that Hillary is losing poll numbers to Obama in her homestate of New York.

It looks like we have ourselves a Democratic nominee!

enigma4ever said...

Hey there Christophere:
I was just over at your site and it would not let me comment- I just wanted to let you know...

NOW about Nevada, wow...that is huge...I just was over and saw the SC post you put up- this is REAL...

Meanwhile on MSNBC I just saw Pres. Clinton attacking Obama, calling it a "Fairy Tale"...Andrea Mitchell is asking Terry McCauliffe WHY Clinton is sending emails to everyone asking for money, she is asking WHY ? ( she got one from Bill- and she sounds offended " I have never gotten an email in the middle of primaries asking for money it sounds desperate".....

I am with your Christopher, I think we have a Movement going on here.....Something real....
And Hillary and Bill would be smart not to attack What this Country Needs....and Wants...

**************************
( I could be wrong, but I could swear Bill ran in 1992, with the Theme of HOPE.....I guess that was too long ago...a different kind of "hope" ???)

Thanks for coming over Christopher, and thanks for your great blogging at" From the Left"....

Hi Enigma4Ever,

Your comment can through loud and clear. Sometimes Wordpress acts up when volume gets heavy.

It's sad to see Hill send out Bill to act as a salvo she can fire at Barack. It's so cynical. Send Bill to do the dirty politics and then Hill can take the high road. Shameful.

I have also detected a stirring among the liberal racists (yep, there are liberal racists) who are frustrated as all get up that they can't go after Barack for being black, so they make up shit about his voting record and character. It's really so transparent and pathetic.

But, Barack is a great, decent, smart and generous man and he will work for them too.

Christopher:
thanks...good to know...

I watched Bill in full attack mode this am..wow..
calling Obama a "fairytale"....I was shocked and disgusted....and frankly kind of horrified...I never thought I would see something like that..please read my new post...

And yes Obama has integrity...and is a Man of Substance....of greatness..

keep up your great blogging...
