BREAKING NEWS IN C-TOWN, HILLARY HAS FINALLY AGREED TO COME TO THE MSNBC DEBATE HERE

Susposedly just now at 2pm Hillary has FINALLY agreed to come to Cleveland to Debate Obama with Moderators Russert and Williams 2.26.08. She had been refusing due to being offended by Shuster's Comments. It is still sketchy HOW this came about, it will be on Channel 3 ( NBC). Now this is odd- NO Public tickets will be available, according to Channel 3's website. I will post more when I learn it.The Debate will be held at a Beautiful facility in Downtown Cleveland, part of Cleveland State University ( The Students are being told that they are not allowed or invited).

Maybe Obama will return the favor and agree to the one in Wisconsin.

Probably not.

I did not know he had refused Wisconsin- that is an AD that hillary made- and might not be accurate- I wrote to his campaign people about it this am , but it is not listed on his Website.

( Now I do know that ALL the DEMS initially AGREED- even Hill NOT to Debate ON FOX....and if it is a FOX Debate that might explain the Problem. And I do know that Rove's VERY First day at Fox is when Hill demanded "THE DEBATE A WEEK PLAN"...very odd...did not look good to the public. I also KNOW that she had not committed to the MSNBC debate Before the Shuster Comment- with no reasons given.....Although Downtown Cleveland has a pretty good" idea" WHAT the reason is...and why she was refusing....)

I will keep checking on the Wisconsin Issue.

I heard the debate mentioned this morning and was wondering what it would be like. There is no way she can make him look bad.
I forgot all about her maybe boycotting it. After Obama's sweep she really didn't have any choice!

uh-oh, no public tickets sounds like a stacked audience. best to find out NOW what the criteria is if you want to work your way in to see the debate. or maybe they are accepting publically submitted questions. whatever, you NEED to snag a ticket somehow! I would start with Kucinich's local office myself. He's sure to have some tickets to hand out or point you toward others who do.

For weeks it has been talked about here- it offended the Folks here by the Lake...I don't really think her Refusal was about us- I think that she did not want the Hard Questions by Russert and Williams..it is one thing to want to look good on the issues- another to want FREE air time...and but the Questions can really effect Messege.....

About the Debate- and the "rules"...It is being held in a beautiful Auditoreum( part of the Cleveland State University Campus) in Downtown Cleveland....It is a rough tough urban part of the city- much like Chicago's Southside...The CSU students really wanted to go...and crushed because she appeared at a College in the NW and the students got to attend- no problem...
So they are feeling slighted... and so are downtown
residents...I am sure it will get sorted out...

( me? I will find a way there- it might be the ONLY debate I don't liveblog...darn)

i have no idea why Obama agreed to debate Hillary at this stage. He is the front runner and has nothing to gain. He has everything to lose by engaging in debate. Tactical error, in my opinion.

And speaking of tactical errors, Hillary is running out of money because she presumed she was a shoo-in at the start and spent a lot of her funds at the start. Now that she needs to spend a bundle to fend off Obama, she is in financial trouble

BTW, notice that the Democratic numbers overwhelm the GOP voters to an embarrassing degree--embarrassing to the Republicans. If this is any prediction of the vote in November, the Republican party may just become a historical footnote -- like the Whigs.

Wishful thinking, but the relative numbers are just incredible. And the networks are not talking about this.

You know I also wondered if that Wisconsin debate might be a FOX news debate, but have found no confirmation of that yet.
