OBAMABLOGGING FOR THE NEXT WEEK FROM AN OBAMA-MAMA....read below.

I live here in Ohio and so the next few days, even with my battered hip I will be phonebanking, and canvassing as much as I can, and Voting Early......Especially here in Ohio I am encouraging people to Vote Early. I am rearranging posts so that I can refer people here, I send them to Obama's Blog and also to my blog since I blog on issues revelant to the Campaign. Anyone who knows my blog that is in it's 3rd year knows that I have been trying to blog on Humanity Issues and Hope for a long time....So thank you for your patience.Have Hope...

*****************
I voted Early Today, Leap Year Day, at the County Election Center, and I was amazed, it was packed, there were no parking spots available. And then inside there was metal detectors and
wanding and Bag and Coat Checks. ( I hate to say this- but I guess I am not surprised that the Election Center might have had some problems and need protection, it is about our County.)There were long lines inside and little Voting Stalls inside all set up and all packed with lines. I am going to view this as Positive. I also met two Repugs in Line who were voting for Obama, it was their First time voting DEM- ever. ( I gave them lots of support). So just to lt you all know Ohio is Voting, and I would bet it will be in record Numbers.....

Well blogging about both hope and Obama is like combining peanut butter and chocolate. Mmmm peanut butter and chocolate!

They just go together.

I love to see people getting involved like this. Bravo and good luck.

You go girl! I commend you for really going the extra mile, and working hard for the change you seek in the world.

You are in the final stretch in Ohio....

My State teeters on either being a moot point (voting in May), or maybe being VERY important! Time will tell!
I think the blue part of Oregon (major Western regions of population will give Obama overwhelming support ~ should we need to cross that bridge.

Looks like there is a tremendous amount of early voting in both Ohio & Texas. I hope that's a good sign!

Obama said today that this recession we are teetering on is NOT a natural economic or business cycle -- it is the result of gross incompetent mismanagement by the current administration. He stopped short of saying fraudulent. I was cheering!

I've been keeping up with your Obama coverage but have refrained from commenting. It's not that I have anything against Obama. It's just that I have really nothing to say about your enthusiasm for the man, except to say that I applaud your efforts to be politically active, and take responsibility for policy change in the US.

I do appreciate the fact that you've spent so much of Watergate summer devoted to his campaign, for it is quite informative. Do you participate in the discussion on the Daily Kos? I haven't been there for awhile, but I'd be curious as to your opinion of thier opinions.

I never meant to turn my blog into an Obama Blog- but it is what it is..and I have all kinds of people reading it as I canvas, meet people at rallies and meetings....X you can comment anytime - you know that.....I have not had time to participate in any discussions anywhere this month...I am working, and any time I have off I work in the campaign....I read the Kos and also Raw Story and Huff Post and C&L......

I have been interested in Obama sine I read the "Audacity of Hope" over a year ago...so my enthusiasm has been about Obama the Man....and it has not dwindled...I have also seen how he has inspired my son and the young people in my neighborhood....like nothing I have never seen since 1968.....or the 60's.....

But thanks.....

DK:
no there is nothing normal about our economic situation....it is a disastrous symptom...of Bushco....

Fran:
I am working hard here in Ohio, so are the Ohio People, and there are 1000's of Obama supporters here from other states helping.....I hope that Ohio and Texas do the right thing....and that we don't hurt the Momentum of all the other great states- Wisconsin and the Cheseapeake States etc....

Andy:
thanks...I will keep at it...there are many here working hard...

Thanks Gryphen and Patriot....thank you....

We have to essentially vote twice! The Primary and the caucus are both needed so we will be going back on the 4th after voting early last week.

Hopefully the caucus (AND the vote) will favor Obama. I can't wait until Tuesday and hope it's wrapped up by then. Austin is no worries. The rest of Texas is hard to gauge though.

BlueBerry and ALL Texas Folk....( Weezie, Mike etc)

I know texas is huge....I have no idea....and Ohip too- I am a transplant and have only live here a little over 2 years...so i just don;t know enough......but I know that the people here working for Obama have been amazing......

Thank you Blueberry....

Enigma,

Check this:

Hillary Clinton has declined to return $170,000 in campaign contributions from individuals at a company accused of widespread sexual harassment, and whose CEO is a disbarred lawyer with a criminal record, federal campaign records show.

The federal government has accused the Illinois management consulting firm, International Profit Associates, or IPA, of a brazen pattern of sexual harassment including “sexual assaults,” “degrading anti-female language” and “obscene suggestions.”

In a 2001 lawsuit full of lurid details, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission claims that 103 women employees at IPA were victimized for years. The civil case is ongoing, and IPA vigorously denies the allegations.

“This is by far, hands down, the worst case I’ve ever experienced,” said Diane Smason, one of the EEOC lawyers handling the lawsuit. “Every woman there experienced sex harassment, they were part of a hostile work environment of sex harassment. And this occurred from the top down.”

Sen. Clinton’s spokesman, Howard Wolfson, told NBC News in a statement that the senator decided to keep the funds because the lawsuit is “ongoing” and because none of the sexual harassment allegations has been proven in court.

“With regard to the pending harassment suit, as a general matter, the campaign assesses findings of fact in deciding whether to return contributions,” Wolfson said.

Hi Obama Mama!
Tuesday is coming quick. I to expect record turn out's as we've been seeing. I hope 2 of the 3 States go to Obama. If they do Hillary is done.

We have to watch the results in both Texas and Ohio.

Why?

Because they are tied to Karl Rove and the Clintons.

They are also still using Touch Screen voting machines and we know for a fact that votes can be stolen and probably will be like the 81% of votes being counted in New Hampshire by a company with no oversight being provided.

The Clintons may try stealing the election in both states and there are no paper trails to verify the votes made.

God Bless.

Oppps... Forgot to post a link about the voting machines. Here it is.

Beware who's counting the votes

It's good to see that people are getting more involved in our political process. That is good news for us and bad news for the corporations.

Hi Enigma!
Congratulations on the award from tc. That coming from him is commendable! Did you see this on the record shattering turnout in Ohio

TomCat said...

E4eOM, I think Ohio could be the key. I think he will take Texas, and if he takes Ohio too, it's virtually over.

Texas was reapportioned by the GOP, in a manner that helps Obama.

I sure hope some good will come from all this. I fear the Powerbrokers though, the ones who are pulling the country's strings for their own advantage. I'm not sure that one man can beat the system!

Hi there. Hope you're well.

Liked what you said about the dearth of McCain supporters.

My thought is that this primary IS the presidential election.

enigma4ever said...

Thanks NB...
I just thought it was poignant after going door to door for hours....one very shy quiet "McCain " supporter came to the door....made my whole weekend...

Hill called my mom today looking for a vote. That train left the station the 14th of February.

I'm certainly not going to vote for her, although I remain skeptical that there are any major differences between her and Barack. Time will tell if I'm right or wrong. Hill loses for not necessarily her vote in 2003, but all the time she's spent then denying it was the wrong vote to make. When you have a brain-addled monkey as the President, the other Branches must provide checks. Hill didn't even try, and she doesn't seem to understand why it was so important to try.
