Understood completely. And I will be honestly sorry when the super delegates and the power brokers and the money tree and the foreign interests.....produce the inevitable. The Bitch.

Switch to Wordpress!

You won't be disappointed and it's so much more reliable than Blogger!

BTW, Enigma, are you going to see Barack Obama in the flesh? He should make a campaign appearance somewhere in Ohio before March 4. I have even though of driving to Ohio to see him if he appears in Cleveland. I mean it's only like 4 hours from here.

Oh future, ye of little faith, do not believe that the power of hope cannot change history. Even the pre-written history that Bill and Hillary Clinton represent.

Enigma, I am once again jealous. You are in the middle of such an important, passionate campaign. You are going to help make history kiddo.

If you get to see Obama you better post a very descriptive account of EXACTLY what happened. Because I will have to live vicariously through your experience.

Here's Obama's place to write a note to the superdelegates:

http://my.barackobama.com/page/s/superdelstory

It's not a direct link to any specific superdelegate. Here's what Obama's website says:

"Our staff will compile stories from supporters like you and make them a key part of the conversation with superdelegates as Barack asks for their support.

Share your story to help persuade superdelegates now:

http://my.barackobama.com/superdelegates

Your note, combined with those of other Obama supporters, will tell the story of an extraordinary movement of ordinary people -- a story with a common thread of hope that becomes all the more powerful when it brings together the diverse backgrounds and experiences of our supporters."

**********
I linked the names & states of the superdelegates (post title "Oh What a Night" 2/12/08). Some, not all, are linked to contact info. You have to keep looking for your state's name in many different catagories. I figured you'd recognize the superdelegates from your own state, most are publically elected or DNC-members. I think they should hear directly from the public. I'm emailing the 2 uncommitted in my state to urge them to commit in the same % as the popular vote (which Obama won) because to do otherwise is to subvert the will of the people. Most states have many uncommitted superdelegates. And as we've seen in the couple days, even some the committed are now changing their committment!

Good for you, Enigma. It's good to see someone taking an active participation in what is going on there. And good luck!

Remember, the rest of the world is watching. :-)

You're going to have a good time. Have fun! I hope you get into Teddy's meeting. I hope you do as I want to hear all about it.
I have been conversing at least once daily with Danny and Jerome on the Super Delegates. They know how we the people feel.
I told them it would be the end of any viable Democratic Party if the SD's took the people's choice away from them at such a critical time and when new and young people are registering enmasse because they think they matter. It would be a critical mistake for the SD's to show the people they do not matter.
Since they know or financially support every one of them, I have faith they will think for once and put sense over their egos. Take care!

Lincoln quotes:

Don't interfere with anything in the Constitution. That must be maintained, for it is the only safeguard of our liberties.

Any people anywhere, being inclined and having the power, have the right to rise up, and shake off the existing government, and form a new one that suits them better. This is a most valuable - a most sacred right - a right, which we hope and believe, is to liberate the world.

He has a right to criticize, who has a heart to help.

I destroy my enemies when I make them my friends.

I do not think much of a man who is not wiser today than he was yesterday.
(Abraham Lincoln re Bush? )

I do the very best I know how - the very best I can; and I mean to keep on doing so until the end.
Sounds like Enigma....

My question, is there ANYTHING that great man did not anticipate?

ps, hope you are having luck in getting into some of the Obama events. got my fingers & toes crossed for you!

The elections in Pakistan are important as well.

Enigma, I love you dearly and wish you well, but for the duration I'm in the Clinton camp. In the meantime, for Lincoln's birthday, I put up the Speech at Cooper Union that is said to have made him President.

P.S. to previous. Check out my blog. Found two phenominal videos on You Tube that we should probably spread all over the internet. Maybe we can get a movement started

Dream Team

What I have to say is nothing against you...and you are a wonderful blogger...

I do not like how Hillary and Bill have conducted themselves this campaign...at all. They have sadly used Rovian tactics- left and right.....it has been dispicable, and we are at a Historic Crossroads...and they have behaved in a horrible manner- writing off people and genders, even whole states, that feel don't support them.

I also have some real Questions about WHERE Hill is getting the Money- I hope and pray that they are not getting the Money from the Clinton Foundation- but I have some real questions...

Mark Penn is a problem- and this is the "kind' of leadership she "chooses"- a Union Buster....but maybe they met back in her Walmart Years....

I don't want either of the Clintons in the White House...and sorry, I don't envision a "Dream Team"...

I think Hill would be fine in charge of Health and Human Services....or even continuing as a Senator.....

I won't be voting for her....
I can't with any conscience do that....

For the past 7 years the only thing that has kept me and my son together and WHOLE has been HOPE....
and she and Bill, feeling Entitled , attacked the ONE thing that I value....

A Dream Team would be Obama& Edwards.....

Ah, you're a fellow Buckeye. I guess that explains a lot of your positive traits:-)

You're doing yeoman's service for this presidential contest, and Ohio is indeed a key state that Clinton has to take in order to maintain her hopes for the nomination.

Your and Redheaded Wisdom's advice about superdelegates is a good idea.

Don't rush to post rest. I know Obama was affected by the weather in Wisconsin. It will be interesting when you do post to find out how it went with you and 6.6. hope it went well!

Well, I've written President's Day letters to both Obama and Clinton on Ragebot. But...judging from what I see happening on many of the blogs I read, any criticism of Obama goes over like a lead balloon. [sigh] Too young to get the comparisons to the Kennedy campaign, too old for the enthusiasm of the gen-y supporters.

Lincoln quotes (the first is my favorite):

"You may fool all of the people some of the time, you can even fool some of the people all of the time, but you cannot fool all of the people all the time"

"These capitalists generally act harmoniously and in concert, to fleece the people"
