So E4E, I'm wondering what candidate you might be supporting?

enigma4ever said...

Fran...it is true I am an ObamaMama....blame it on my son ;-)

Turn on MTV- I have to say this is one of the best Issue Shows I have seen ( Sway does a better job than WOLF...and there is are two other guys that I don't know their names who also are great moderators...one is Gideon..
But the young people have had REALLY good questions....

NOW Ron Paul from Texas- oh no- the audio has bugged out- ouch..

Okay Huck was boring,.....but nice...

They call it Final Arguments....and they rate the person while they speak...ouch...

enigma4ever said...

Ron Paul is being asked questions- he doesn't quite always get the question- ie.he was asked about how Clinics on Campus sell meds to the students- and Prices have skyrocketed-

The Pill is now 50 $ /month and the HPV Vaccine is 540 dollars ? I hope that is wrong.....that is totally inaccessible...

He did good on the Darfur Question ( these young people clearly remembered that the US did not assist Rwanda as that Country was named in the question...ouch for Hill)

Now he talking about terrorism and war policies- the young people actually like him...lots of nodding...

He is being asked WHY are the Young People going to the DEMs....good answer...does not defend the Repugs....He actually does remember that the Draft is on the horizon, and also says that young people know that he does not want to see people taxed and spied on...
( most of what he talks about always goes back to Financial issues- he must be a Walltreet Wonk....everything is about Money and the Dollar....) 67% say that he has campaigned for the Young People- with their future in mind... he just mentioned 28 Repugs are not seeking re-election...wow...

Okay taking a break..

MTV: 6:54 PM
Obama is answering question about Diplomacy doing a very good job.....Seeing the World with Different Eyes, and Empathy....( this show is done with WAPO, MYspace and MYV)

Question2:
Will we ever need a Draft?
No he says...with good leadership and good decisions, we don't need a Draft...We should have stayed focused on Afganistan...

Many under 25 have lost their lives in Iraq and also were Minorities ?
O: tuition credit every year- and the students must serve their country...Young People must serve others...We must invest in young people and in their futures....Remaking the Country will require
young people. ( NOT all the young people were convinced and Obama does also explain that Foriegn Policy has alot to do with War and the Draft policy)
He is now explaining that we should be talking to the Adversary Countries- and he has sound judgement on these issues....
His traveling overseas and having family overseas....But he want to change our image around the world- away from Military image...(realy good point) he also wants to close Gitmo- many of these effforts will improve how the world sees our country;

I am supportive of Civil Unions for gay couples....( not marriage, but yes to unions with ALL rights and privleges). I am not in favor of Don't ask Don't tell .

AP question:
Choice between Change and Past, why not a woman prez?
( idiot)
O: It means moving past Race and Gender and not having to answer these type of questions...the Future is about moving past Divisions that are stopping Change...I want to bring people together...
People are hungry for solutions and want to see people building it up and working together.

enigma4ever said...

Asked about Marriage issue again...
He explains that he is more concerned about legal rights associated with relationships...that the RIGHTS are focused on...

IM Question:
the Muslim question and the Anti Flag question:
he explains again- He is presbyeterian and that he did indeed always practice being a Christian...and that he does indeed salute the flag- and always has....He also addresses taht this is the Politics of Fear- and that the question is also not fair to Islmic People and perpetuates more Fear....

Question:
Economic Situation:
he explains that we have TWO problems- we have Immediate Problem and we also have LT problemss...speaks well to Subprime mess, unemployment insureance, and also stimulus packages..etc. Balance needs to be restored...Healthcare for ALL, College and Education for all, etc etc..

enigma4ever said...

Asked again about JFK comparison and also Peace Corp - increase to 250,000 slots ( that is much higher) We will invest in you- and let you invest in us......

One last pitch to the Undecided Voters...

Change is always tied to the Young and if they are ready for Change , and want to be part of that....etc etc...I will always be honest about the Challenges that we Face... ( loud applause)

Numbers& analysis :
33% vote for sure, pretty split....Very committed voters....first ones there...Experience question is still a problem...it is about TRUST vs Experience...( realy good point)
Still alot of undecided...

Clinton still not available...hmm interesting..

10Pm....Cpsan From a Football Stadium in Missouri- PACKED...I will run over to Lydia's to tell you-
He was great on MTV- he rocked it..

Larry said...

I found it on C-Span Enigma, Thanks.

enigma4ever said...

okay the story of the new Video- it was just loaded to Youtube this am- and I found it over at Gryphen's this morning- and I put it on the blog this afternoon- well- now it is spreading like wildfire- unreal- and tonight it is over at Obama;s Blog- and Youtube had to add it- there are now 6 versions of it with over 80,000 hits in less than 24 hours...unreal....

But the song is HIS words, Obama's own words from the NH Speech...

( and I thought I was the only one walking around with these words stuck in my head...)

Larry said...

Several stars are making a music video for Obama which may air on MTV.

enigma4ever said...

oh I am intrigued.....also if the Dead will write Something.....

So here are some numbers...
Idaho 14,000 at the taco bella arena- with stormy cold weather....( that is a fairly RED Bush state too)

And Minnesota 24,000 ( from reports from people that were there)

and the RAMS Jones Stadium....55,000

okay Enigma will try to contain her enthusiasm....sigh...

enigma4ever said...

oh and Tomorrow is Oprah....and Caroline Kennedy and Michelle Obama in California..and Teddy is still working the crowds in California....

Kerry is working Washington State this weekend...

Now I'm sorry I missed the MTV event. Your recap was wonderful. But I DID just catch the St Louis Obama speech rebroad on C-Span. WOW! I'm feeling cleansed & healed already (and I am a headcold sicky today). He had the crowd, a whole sea of expectant faces, hanging on every word (me, too, on my couch). The only thing I disagreed with is change being tied to the young. I long for change. I've been waiting for it my whole life long. I will be voting Feb 5th for change & hope to see all those young(er) people there, too.

That video was awesome, thanks to you & Gryphen for posting it! It is getting so many hits, the long download time made me think it was a bad link.

Whoa...Red...
We ALL are YOUNG again...there is HOPE,...the Movement is On Fire....I am so sorry you are sick...Please take Care....

Vote Good Woman ...

Be a Part of History....

No Blood for Hubris said...

I do not agree.

enigma4ever said...

No Blood:
I don't understand "what you don't agree with", I was just saying that Dear DK should Vote, that is all I said....I think we should all Vote. I did not tell her WHO to Vote for....

Surely we all Should Vote ..Vote our Conscience...Vote Our Hearts...Vote for Change...( after 7 Years of Bush we all should be allowed to Desire Change...)

This is a Moment in History...Democrats are showing up in Massive Unprecedented Numbers....that is History...Our History...

enigma4ever said...

A Footnote about the SONG....originally the song was on Youtube yesterday morning 2.2.08 and it had been on YouTube only a few hours, and only viewed 201 times.....

Now 36 hours later...
there are 67 Versions loaded on Youtube...and it has been viewed close to 800,000 times ( as best as I could add)....so it is spreading Obama's Words like Wildfire...His NH speech...

we do need to Write cspan and make sure they leave it available at the CampaignNetwork.org site...it was an Amazing Speech....of Historic Proportions....

Obama leads in California. If he wins California then Hillary is in trouble.

I caution everyone not to get too dewey-eyed over Obama or any other Democratic candidate. Remember how the Dems have broken our hearts time and again. To be a Democrat is to carry a permanent broken heart.

I'll support the nominee, but I won't expect much.

enigma4ever said...

Newssguy-
Have you been watching the Prmaries? the DEMS have been out in HUGE Numbers....we have every right after Years of Bush Helll to have a Some Hope, and to take Heart...If we have a heart and Soul left after Bush, this is OUR One Chance to Fight Back....even for a little while....HOPE is more prescious that Gold....

It worked for the Borg Queen in New Hampshire. Will it work for Super Tuesday?

Sen. Hillary Clinton appeared to fight back tears this morning at a campaign event in New Haven, USA TODAY’s Kathy Kiely reports.

At the Yale Child Study Center where Clinton once worked, she was introduced by her former boss Penn Rhodeen before a roundtable on the difficulties faced by working mothers. “You were all in purple,” Rhodeen said of their first meeting, “from your sheepskin coat to your bell-bottoms. You looked wonderful and so 1972.”

Clinton, who today was wearing a yellow and black ensemble, welled up at Rhodeen’s reference to “our magnificent Hillary.”

“I said I would not tear up today,” Clinton remarked. Kathy writes that the senator blinked back the evidence with a smile.

The Chicago Tribune’s The Swamp blog adds Rhodeen was the first to choke up, “leading Clinton’s eyes to fill with tears, which she wiped out of her left eye.”

You know I had a bet with a friend that she would for sure PULL OUT THE TEARS before tuesday......omg....I am not even shocked as a Woman ....I have to say this...Do you KNOW how many times I have EVER cried in Public ? I am talking EPA Hearings about an EVIL Company hurting my Neighbors...etc .....how many ???
NONE...that 's Right ...NEVER...and I never ever would... Strength is all about Being Strong in the Worst of Moments...ALWAYS...and I have nothing against Crying...BUT WHEN YOU ARE TRYING TO LEAD AND FIGHT A GOOD FIGHT YOU CAN NOT CRY- MAN OR WOMAN...and when a Woman does it in Public....IN FRONT OF CAMERAS....THERE ARE MANY OF US THAT GO - WELL, THAT IS PRETTY DAMN MANIPULATIVE...
