Thursday ::: Ripples of Hope.....

"All of us have in our veins the exact same percentage of salt in our blood that exists in the ocean, and, therefore, we have salt in our blood, in our sweat, in our tears. We are tied to the ocean. And when we go back to the sea -- whether it is to sail or to watch it -- we are going back from whence we came."
John F. Kennedy, Speech given at Newport at the dinner before the America's Cup Races, September 1962

"The Chinese use two brush strokes to write the word 'crisis.' One brush stroke stands for danger; the other for opportunity. In a crisis, be aware of the danger - but recognize the opportunity." John F. Kennedy, Speech in Indianapolis, April 12, 1959

"It is from numberless diverse acts of courage and belief that human history is shaped.Each time a man stands up for an ideal, or acts to improve the lot of others, or strikes out against injustice, he sends forth a tiny ripple of hope, and crossing each other from a million different centers of energy and daring, those ripples build a current that can sweep down the mightiest walls of oppression and resistance."

It is steaming hot here by Lake Erie. I am still working on my book, and re-writing my Resume ( yes, again). And trying to keep critters and 6-6 Cool....I wanted to share some Quotes that I stumbled across while working on "Silent Fallout and Watery Lies".....I have been thinking that as hard as these years have been we are so lucky to have found each other and be Ripples of Hope to each other....

I will be back Later....There are some Gifts below...and Music.

Music Today: "She & Him" A new Band....Zoey Deschanel has an incredible Voice ( according to 6-6- she is "alright" looks like "Bones"......she does....) Song is "Change is Hard".

((2PM Footnote::: So Obama raised 52 MILLION in June....that is including before when Hillary dropped out ? That is incredible, the Campaign says that it was mostly small donors, the average donation 68$....that also means that even though Economically we are in hard times, people still gave what little they have to Obama....that is amazing....that is some more ripples of hope..))

FOOTNOTE::: I missed the View...okay I never watch it.....BUT I got 2 emails saying that Whoopi was amazing this morning and really schooled Elizabeth about HOW there are Racial Problems in America- part of the clip is on Huffpost ( and not downloadable) IF ANYONE can find this "Conversation" for me or tell me where to get this clip....I would love to post. email enigma4ever AT earthlink DOT net.....thanks.....

"It is from numberless diverse acts of courage and belief that human history is shaped. we may not shape what is going to happen soon but our efforts will be noted. We are lucky to have each other and must stay together to ride this out successfully. Stay cool I am going to watch that video now.

I don't think I've ever seen The View Was Goldberg a guest, or a new host?

enigma4ever said...

Xdell:::
you made me laugh....I wish I knew nothing about the View....BUT here goes...
it is that awful show that is on during the day with Barbara Walter as Hostess and Rosie ODonnell was on for about 10 monthes, and then she left....and then sometime they got yes, Whoopi Goldberg as one of the panel...and she definently was needed , Elizabeth Hasselback= a repug Foxette needed a bit of some more Progressive thinking and learning...

so there you go..
the clip is over at ABC- but has been edited...

my son 6-6 joked "wow..tears - think they are croc tears? nah,...she doesn't act that well".....

it was odd- the whole show she was confronted about differences- she was so focused on the Vocabulary issue- she missed the bigger issues that Sherry and Whoopi were trying to reach ....I think she cried because she just could not wrap her brain around what they were saying...
