More than 100,000 Show Up To See Obama in Denver....

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
DRScott...requested a wonderful song...so here it is "Ain't No Stopping Us Now.." So don't Stop NOW....get out and VOTE....lives depend on it ....for ALL of us...I put up the George Micheal Version of the song...(some of the 70's versions are too scratchy audio wise...but you can send me better versions if you want).... if you click the title you hear a woman singing it in an Obama Rally Line...really wonderful....
What's the name of that old R&B song? Ain't no stopping us now...
Yeah, I'm still a skeptical, Grumpy Old Man who sees the glass of beer as half-full, but my sour certainty has gone on a long vacation. Looking at massive rallies like this just reinforces my faith that maybe we're gonna outnumber the cunning rat-things of the Republican parth this time. This time, neither hanging chads, Ralp Nader, Diebold, Rovian witchcraft, or an "October Surprise: can halt this Perfect Sorm of a candidacy.
After eight ghastly years, it feels great to be able to smile again and mean it. Maybe--is it possible--Liberal will stop being a profanity in some people's minds. Even better, it's fantastic to think that soon this country is gonna get a wise and compassionate president who isn't a make-believe character on "The West Wing". As Robin Williams said, "Reality! What a concept!"
Can we do this? Yes We Can.
That is a thing of beauty! Just like all the other ones. People are so hopeful and desperate for change.
Meanwhile, the shrub wasn't getting enough attention, so he's attacked Syria and killed eight civlians.
alot of people have gone on "vacation"...or are tired..it has been a really long eight years...torturous for many...
These rallies that are shown...remember this..this is Thousands of people standing in long lines all day long...talking to each other...sharing stories...sadness...job loss...or loved ones in Iraq..when you stand in The LINE..you hear everyone's stories...the reality of living here right now..WHAT no one is hearing on the news...and NO ONE waits in that line out of curiousity- it is because they care...and Obama is speaking to them...and have you noticed the News Cable even CSPAN are not showing the WHOLE rallies anymore...he speaks to ALL the issues, from Gitmo, to Iraq to LOSS of the Constitution...to loss or work, health etc etc ...and he tells his story...it is more powerful than Johnny's crappy lying ads on every hour....It is an Experience...Colorado and Miss...are both RED states...and that is the number that come...
( I saw him in Ohio with my son in the winter..stood in line and it was 10 degrees out..for hours..I would do it again in a heart beat..I learned alot that day...)
These rallies are so important- whether the MSM can bare to report or cover accurately or NOT...we all know they MEAN and SHOW Change..Big Change...is happening here....it is real..very real....
and there may be liberals in that mass....but there are also many repugs...
Have Hope friend....have Hope...
hey girlfriend. how are you sinuses this week? I'm going to be a nervour nelly this week what with the election this close..phoo!
I can't wait for Obama to come back to Austin. He came here a few years ago (man, that's been the longest run ever) and spoke to a huge crowd in our famed Zilker park. Now..if he'd come, I tell you, they'd have to cordon off the city!! This is obama town inspite of the few who actually are not embarrassed and too ignorant to have their McCain/Palin bumpersticker on their car..shaa..
tick tock tick tock..I'm hoping to make another Obama pumpkin carving..oh that reminds me..forgot to take a pic of the one I did on friday, I'll try to remember it..
have a good week E..
hugs
E4E:
The Obama campaign has been making arrangements with the City of Chicago to rent a portion of Grant Park for their election night gathering.
Ms. Palin has been misrepresenting this as having rented a "stadium" - the only stadium near there is Soldier Field, and that's not the place. I can only assume that she doesn't understand that a recreational softball field is not a professional sports "Stadium" by any stretch of the imagination.
There will be no attendance fee, no tickets, etc.
I'm sure it will be an interesting crowd to be in.
If you and 6-6 can make it out, I will gladly give you guys crash space. I live about 1/4 mile from the local commuter rail station which ends out at Union Station downtown, not TOO far from the park.
E-mail me if you're interested.
I used to live in Chicago and that makes it obvious Ms. Palin has never visited. Tooooo funny.
