OH yeah the insurance industry is buying the reform they can maximize profit from. Again. Want to know what a place looks like that has sold itself to the insurance industry...look to Michigan.
E4E, come get the link I have at my place and post it.. it is for the House plan and it has a Chart from the Energy and Commerce Commission that is wonderful.. It needs to get out there all over the place.. We need to push the House plan.. HR 3200 and forget the Senate.. once it is passed then they can reconcile and hopefully take more of it.. but this plan needs to be seen.. it tells how much it saves businesses, how many people it will insure, how much it will save seniors the whole works.. it is a great chart..but it needs to be out there more.
The President hasn't let us down, he was just at the Town Hall with AARP and he is still talking about a Public Option.. so we will have to wait and see what happens..
Healthcare for ALL....52 Million Americans have NOTHING...NO Care...I was at work so I did not see the AARP Virtual Town Hall....( go see the Update over at the WH Blog on the sidebar).....
Sadly the Senate Finance Committee has to have a Public Option in the plan- the House plan is great- BUT the Senate has to be on board NOW...there is NO compromising on this...NONE.....
75 % of Americans WANT and NEED the Public Option.....and the Senate needs to KNOW that....loud and clear..
as always you know that I hear you...and appreciate your comments...thoughtful people that you are I KNOW you get it....( and yeah, Walking Man...here in Ctown it looks alot like Detroit....sadly...)
It is a national tragedy so many are without health care.... and even those who have insurance-- most are still struggling as the name of the game in coverage is to get away with paying as little as possible.
52 Million including all those that have lost jobs and coverage during the Economic Downturn, and that does not include those that are UNDER insured, or who have been stuck with HUGE medical bills that the Insurance did not want to pay.....
and only 110 million are estimated to have actual insurance- that means that more than 60 % of registered Voters are UnInsured- and that more should be counted...
I think the Census would find maybe only a third of this country has healthcare...and not adequate at that....

"so we will have to wait and see what happens.." What happens is mandatory INSURANCE---a windfall for corporations.
