No one should ever live in fear because of What They Believe ....or How or WHO they worship....this breaks my heart.....Namaste.
(( I find it interesting that the US Govt says Nothing about this....absolutely Nothing...))

Enigma, my friend (the hero) is stuck over there now, trying to get home. We are very worried.
I am so sorry DK....I heard a couple of reports from Reporters stuck there....from the ECONOMIST magazine, I think there are alot of people there- including journalists and NGO workers....so sorry...I will keep her in my thoughts...
Of Course our Gov says nothing, after all, they are not christian! AND we surely gotta keep trade up with China, hmmmm but wait, there are other considerations
China OWNS us now that BUSH has sold our DEBT to the Chinese
and WallMart needs all those chinese made things to sell to us
sigh
interesting none of the sunday talk shows devoted even a second to covering this story. oh, Condi asks china to show restraint. she is worthless! my friend made it the airport hotel, via armed transport, and is now awaiting china approval for airflight out.
DK:
I hope your friend gets home soooooooon...and keep me posted....

ahhhh, I know ...but the funny thing is people could threaten to Boycott- couldn't they? but no- not even a whisper....and then we have the $$$$ issue- heaven forbid that won't come up.....
The media of course is not allowed into Tibet..so verifying reports that up to 100 are dead and the house by house searches is impossible.
Its always the Monks that try to bring about change in the Asian countries..Burma and now Tibet.
Heard an interesting interview with a man who spent time talking violence with the Dalai Lama, who is of course non violent. With the build-up of Chinese troops in Tibet in the last couple of days, it's easy to see why non-violence is the only possible stratagem. There are simply too many of those other folks to make violence the merest option.
