FRIDAY NIGHT MUSIC AND THOUGHTS: BLIZZARDS,BAKLAVA, AND BEACHLUSTING.....

*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*
So here by Lake Erie it is Blizzarding....and I am lusting for Warm Beaches and Warm Sand ( and if you click the Title, you will get a Dose of Beach Music).....So I walked to the store to get the Blizzard Goodies and Manly Food: Spaghetti, Soup,Chili. My Son requested More Manly Food and less Rabbit Food (hey, I have to have salad "stuff"). And in the Mistake Bin I found the Best Treat, sigh.....Baklava. So this Weekend, since it feels like Siberian Winter, I am making Borst and then for Dessert we can have the Baklava. Now you are probally asking WHAT is the Mistake Bin ? Every Friday the market near my house stocks the Mistake Bin, this full of pieces of Cakes and pastries that didn't sell during the week, including Forgotten Overflowered Birthday Cakes with Stranger's Names. But every now and then we find wonders there, like Chocolate Cheesecake, or Almond Croisannts, or yes, Baklava.

I am going to paint part of my Bedroom this weekend, since we are Snowbound. Now about the painting on this post, I love this painting, and would love to have it in my Bedroom , but I don't know the artist, and if anyone does, that would be very helpful. My bedroom has "Flaming June" and Klimt's "The Kiss", but I really would love this one to add to my little gallery.

So everyone, be safe and take care of each other....snuggle and drink tea.

I thought you might like to know (unless you already saw it of course), that Olbermann just said that Obama will surely win Texas after the caucus results are in, at least in the delegate count.

And you know if Keith said it, that makes it true.

WOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOO....

WELL, CHRISTOPHER REPORTED IT TOO.....WOW...

I hear ya.

We're only about 3 or 4 hours down I-90 from you and the weather here is so fucking awful.

All our friends in Phoenix, Vegas, Palm Springs and Los Angeles keep emailing us to say how beautiful and warm the weather is, spring is unfolding and what are you two doing there in Upstate New York?

Well, 9 more months and we are so outta' here! California, here we come. Jim will have his BSN in nursing and our long, New York hell nightmare will be over.

Damn I love being vindicated!

I knew that bitch did not win on Tuesday! (Sorry ladies, but the word "bitch" is too perfect not to use here.)

Enigma,

I have a post up finally about Obama winning the delegate count majority in TX by 3.

The MSM sure can't bring themselves to admit it's true.

The bastards.

gryphen,

Who are you apologizing to?

The Borg Queen is a bitch.

A ruthless, vicious, Lady Macbeth-styled bitch

Hey guys...No ONE has to apologize to me....Speaking the Truth is ALWAYS A-Okay with me......and as a Woman....I am Sooooo embarrassed and ashamed of how she has conducted herself...She has behaved like an Entitled Shrew.....and she does Hatemonger...and she has divided US as a party....and she has Disrespected Obama and thrown Compliments to McNasty....So I thank you for speaking the Truth....

I suppose you'll not be wanting to hear about the flock of Robins on my lawn just yet.....

I used to live in there. March is the most awful month of the year!

ooopps... 2nd try...

The artist is Sir Frank Dicksee (or Dicksie) and the title is "La Belle Dame Sans Merci" and was painted in 1902. He apparently was one of the Pre-Raphaelite Brotherhood of Victorian Romantics which also included Lord Leighton, Frank Cowper and John Collier.
May your knight - Sir Barack - fare better than the subject of the Keats poem...

I admire your choice of art Enigma, almost as much as I continue to be impressed by your untiring compassion and dedication...

(and gee another artist to research....and what a great name for the painting....)

This is perhaps the most succinct comment on the Borg Queen's quest for power I've read to date and the comment comes from a former US Senator:

“By saying that only she and John McCain are qualified to lead the country, particularly in times of crisis, Hillary Clinton has broken that rule, severely damaged the Democratic candidate who may well be the party’s nominee, and, perhaps most ominously, revealed the unlimited lengths to which she will go to achieve power. She has essentially said that the Democratic party deserves to lose unless it nominates her.” - former Sen. Gary Hart

You look stunning in your photo above as you always do.

Well I just spent 14 hours reloading my operating system and still have 6 or 7 more hours before I'm done.

Been offline for only a couple of days so it feels good to be able to make some rounds.

Keep up your great work for Obama.

Take care and ...

God Bless you.

You mean Borscht, that red russian soup made with beets? Gack, husband has begged me to make it for years (the way his mother, who was from russia, used to make it with a dollop of sour cream on top). But ewww, I HATE beets, so that dish remains unmade! He gets any beets put on my restaurant salads, so he's not deprived.

But, Baklava is excellent, enjoy! Hope you had a good weekend painting. CAN you paint with all the windows closed for winter? Be careful.
