Some of HillaryLand feels Hung Out to Dry,maybe Hillary will inspire them and help start the healing process, tomorrow at 11am....let's Hope.

I went over to Hillaryland last night, because I was thinking about her supporters. I was worried about them, and wondering how they are feeling. I have had some come here and they seem bitter, and resentful, but also tired and let down. But I have thought alot about them and their dreams too, I find it odd that they don't and can't seem to open their hearts to Another Dream. But maybe it is because they were working hard for someone that they believed in.5000 of them have already started an organization to support McCain, I suspect they were not Democrats to begin with, maybe they were Repugs that had wanted to vote for a woman ? Maybe they are tired, and maybe even disillusioned, as they had also been told by the Media that Hillary was the Chosen Candidate for many many monthes.I am writing this post, because I hope that people can understand, I don't want to see any Hillary Supporters attacked here. There has to be some sort of path to Healing. I hope that Hillary can Lead her path to healing, not more anger and rancor, but she needs to start soon. Over on her blogs, her followers are angry, fuming and feeling disenfranchised. It is her time to address that and talk to her supporters, reassure them, comfort them and Lead them. I hope tomorrow that she does that. Her Blog says that she is going to have a "Rally" , that worries me, I am hoping that she gives a beautiful comforting inspiring Concession Speech.....Her followers need her to help them heal.

Hillary's Exit Speech is now planned for Saturday....

( It will be liveblogged in the comments)

well, Hillary unfortunately was in it for herself and made it about herself. Obama has skillfully made it about 'all of us'. The 'dream' you are referring to is one that WE all had; civil, bipartisan discourse and a retreat from all immoral things and political actions from the last 8 yrs. That could have easily been a Republican dream as many Republicans have been disillusioned by the neoconservatives. The moderates could have just as well 'spit out' a candidate that would have been a preferable candidate to Hillary if we would not have had Obama. 'WE' needed a peacemaker, someone who was intend on bringing people together. The Clintons have never been that way. So for the Hillarites to feel 'healed', well, no offense, but that is up to themselves. With all the information pointing to Hillary's campaign, them fighting dirty (using the race card, the assassination comment etc)..if they weren't appalled, they were not paying attention.Orr.. my feeling by witnessing their many nasty reactions; they were all cut from the same cloth. There might have been some who were not but those who weren't will automatically put their support behind the Democratic nominee regardless of who he'd be for the sake of Party unity. The others were too cantankerous and too ready to behave as dispicable as Hillary did. So if there is healing to take place as you would like, I have to be honest and say it takes two for that to happen. The Obama supporters do not have to be nasty to the Hillarites, but after all the crap the Obama campaign and Obama supporters have had to endure on the various sites (such as Taylor Marsh), it is 'them' that have to do the reaching out. And apologies accepted..if they were to mention any anyway...

Thank you for your very thoughtful answer...

I hear you....and I agree...I was just reflecting about it /on it..I am perplexed at the level of anger...( esp on her website...) I was thinking ( okay maybe just hoping that it was only those that showed up screaming at the RULES committee meeting last saturday..)I think some greiving is understandable..and I guess the 5 stages of grief that Kubler -Ross described are applicable....

In Minnesota the other night after the Rally Obama did meet with some of Hillary's main people and was gracious...and kind to them...

( Which is one of the reasons I went to her site- to see how can fences be mended...BUT they were all on there screaming about Michigan was gifted to him- and such ugly anger about that...another tidbit that I learned was that MANY repug women left their party to vote for Hill...ahhhhhhh...)

I am a nurse...I believe in healing....always..

But I hear you..and some of the healing has to be started on some level.....but I don't think it will until there is leadership by Hillary, and an actual concession speech...in Public- for all of us and her supporters..

HIllary and Bill and Chelsea and her mom have entered...about 5000-7000 there ...crowd is enthusiastic...and still very noisy...

12:50PM...

" I am grateful to all that worked so hard....hearts and hopes....ekgads she is now recounting about "People"...the long thank you list continues....and the folksy stories...you have inspired me...18 Million of you from all walks of life.....the dreams we fought for are worth fighting for...etc etc...

The way to continue our fight is to ...to help Elect Barack Obama to the Presidency of the US...very loud applause..( that is good)...I suspend my campaign, and throw my full support behind him and I ask all of you to help me in supporting him, I fully Endorse him...( there is some rumbling and grumbling) she is trying to speak about Obama positively..and she really is trying......phew...I was soooo worried...she looks sincere and she is trying really hard to merge the path here.....

I have one thing to say...
the MEDIA- ABC, NBC, and CBS did NOT run this speech- Shame on them...

All cable channels have it on- and cspan..

"YES WE CAN" she said she stands with him to say it...we will have to work together...she has now said it 4 times...that we have to work with Barack Obama...she has now said it 5 times...she keeps saying that we have to "work hard" for and with him..

( this is creepy...it is like she is stuck, she is yelling it at them...she keeps saying it...)

" I want to build an America that embraces Differences...okay now she is on the feminism platform...about women's rights...There are no acceptable prejudices in this 21st Century.....again she is talking about launching a woman into the WH....the path will be easier next time."...oh good, she is now weaving the civil rights movement with women rights...that is good...

( this is actually one of her better speechs..)

" I will work my heart out to help Senator Obama be the next president".

Thank you to the list...

I watched it on C-Span because I am tired of the cable analysis before & afterward. It was very illuminating to hear the phone calls in before & after. Just regular people calling in. Before the speech, there was a lot of "but she has the popular vote" (Feinstein did not do her any good when she perpetuated this math yesterday). I was surprised after her speech, how many callers were still in denial, still talking about her presidency. There is so much misinformation out there that they were quoting, I don't know where to start. It all ends up with them saying they will vote McCain. Finally, a southern guy called in to say those who are saying that have not even bothered to learn what the repub platform is. Another caller said maybe with time, they can be come to a reconciliation that will allow them to be rational. I dunno. I was flabbergasted to hear people STILL saying: Obama was not born in America (he was, it is McCain who was born in the panama canal zone); Obama is a muslim (why are they still perpetuating this lie?); Obama is unpatriotic due to flag-pin-aversion & a picture where he didn't place his hand over his heart until after the national anthem started; Obama is somehow deluding all his supporters, that his campaign is like a Leni Reisenthal production & will send this country into facism (WT%#@F? I don't know where to begin with that BS).

I thought Hillary did a good job today & wish her supporters really listened to her. I felt she was being genuine & showing them the way home.

DK:::
Don;t lose hope, those callers were just one little smattering-and I swear cspan loves those rotten calls....BUT I have listened to alot of the morning shows...and Obama is well supported by Independents and even Repugs- esp ones that hate McSame....Atleast now there is some time to heal and bring people togehter..

( I blogged it down on the Hung Out to Dry post...)

thanks...good to see you ...as always...
