Where are all these elected officials who were told, in the elction, enough is enough??? ; (
At least someone has heard us............what are these people afraid of and how do we stop paying for them when they don't listen to what we want, both here and abroad?
Twenty five years ago one of my Starship frequent destinations was "The City Of The Roses" (Portand)where I had become enamoured with a female Earthling residing there. I liked the area's progressive style so much, I took up residence and felt Oregon was a suitable alternative to communting back and forth from my home on the planet Saturn.
After the November elections, Senator Smith emailed seeking advice and to tell me his dry cleaners was having trouble washing the brown stains from his shorts which he had soiled after the mid-term results.
I replyed back he should start with the truth about the Iraq war if he were to avoid the public's end of the rope. It might also lessen his laundry bills.
Of course I'm being satirical but Portland and the Oregon coast are some of my favorite vacation spots when I need to relax.
As for Senator Smith, time will only tell if he's sincere or whether this is a slick PR manuever to strengthen support among his political base.
BTW Enigma .... I understand your city has a great art gallery with some excellent oil based paintings on display.
This is what this Senator should have been doing for a LONG time now. They are only now speaking out, after having their power reduced. Yes, I want to see more of them doing it, so we can get our soldiers home- but this "fine man" has spoken out on the need to stay the course before too- These guys won't bring our troops home until WE the People force them to.
Hello Folks at the Counter...and yeah, you all are right- we need to hold these Elected Folks ACCOUNTABLE...that means we need to yell and scream at them, make sure they HEAR US....Iraq is a friggin' mess.....people are dying by the hour....
I was just glad that someone, anyone is finally saying the CRIMINAL WORD..... and finally talking about the Situation....but mostly silence ahs fallen...
But alas I am merely a peasant... ever optimistic and ready for Change...
I watched this again this am...and I don't think it is an act....though What I finally see there is sadness and disillusionment there and also SHAME.....
well, fine if ALL of them FINALLY listen to US the People, and stumble over their consciences on the way....and are shamed into doing their jobs and bringing the troops Home and also maybe just maybe impeaching and imprisoning George and his cronies....
Let the Shame flood the streets of DC ...... and let the Cleansing begin....
