Late Saturday Night....

"Once you choose hope, anything's possible." ~Christopher Reeve
I have thought alot about when Christopher Reeve said this, it was after he was facing his biggest Challenges and after incredible loss.....but he is right, it is a Choice...a Decision....Reeve embraced his challenges and his life, but he recognized that Hope was a skill that needed to be worked at daily. And in these times Embracing Hope is more important than dancing with Fear......

We all need that thing called hope.

I think of myself as a skeptic and not a cynic, because skepticism doesn't dismiss hope as a viable option, but cynicism does. And Life without Hope equals Death.

I choose Life.

Looking forward to an Obama presidency, it aint gonna be all fun and roses, folks. First, the hardcore Republican crazies are gonna try to destroy the presidency with drip, drip, drip tactics just as they tried to do it with Clinton...a $70 million investigation into a real estate deal that happened seven years before Clinton took office. And when that went nowhere, they took advantage of the Lewinsky scandal.

Next, Obama's health care plan isn't all that great. He still involves the for-profit insurance companies. It is not single-payer, and it leaves the profit motive in place. Not good.

Finally, Obama will inherit a major mess--the war, the economy and suspicion of America all over the world.
