You must believe in one of two things,
there will be Earth upon which to stand,
or you will be given Wings.

I recieved an email yesterday that when they googled "We The People" they found my Blog...I liked that , it made me smile all day. WE THE PEOPLE.....that is Something we had almost Lost...BUT just maybe we are finding our way back.....to E.Pluribus Unum, "Out of Many : ONE". 500,000 Democrats showed up to Vote in South Carolina, that says to me that we are finding OUR way back..... I took 4 years of Latin, and that was the most important thing I learned......and hold dear. E.Pluribus Unum.
Scroll Down...there are some great Videos Linked to the Titles, Keith Olbermann to Obama to beautiful music and there are some thoughtful posts about What is going on around us, as well as what is going on Today....And if you are tired of reading me.... there are some wonderful Blogs to read this Week, Cosmic Messenger, Cartledge over at "Grubstreet", and Christopher "From The Left" has wonderful Obama updates and Tomcat over at "Politics Plu"s has a great post up from the weekend...
By the Way, I wanted to Thank Everyone that still Comes here, I lost alot of Readers because I don't support Hillary, so I am grateful for those that are still here. I am grateful that we can discuss the issues.

Okay truth be told....Latin helps when reading Italian Menus in nice Italian Resturantes......not that I get to do THAT very often.....
Have a good day all...
It shouldn't matter if you support Hillary or not, this is a great blog and worth the read.
Enigma4Ever,
For whatever it's worth, losing Hillary's Harpies is akin to losing a bad case of lice.
Consider yourself lucky.
One powerful and valuable lesson I've learned from the 2008 presidential election is racism isn't unique to the radical, rightwing. Racism is alive and well among lefties too.
I've encountered some of the nastiest examples of hate speech come from people who claim to be liberal Democrats and who also support Hillary Clinton. It's been quite a wakeup call but one I wouldn't think of trading.
Hang in there and know you walk in the light.
Larry:
Thanks...
It is okay....I am just sad that the Clintons did something so divisive- it really has shaken things up- nad it is sad...we should be uniting right now...we nee to...we don't have time for Bill and his "Jesse Jackson " crap....we have a Country to save....
and yes, Bloggers have a lot to do with that...
November 2006 was all about Bloggers and Youtube..and Keith....but it takes ALL of us working together and talking....
and to be honest- NO I can not support the Clintons after the way they have behaved....
that being said...
I think that my little blog is just a place to stop, think and talk..and share...and sometimes what we share is not pleasent...but we will all get through it...
Thanks for being a Voice and thoughtful Larry....it really does help....and makes a difference....
ooops, sorry Christopher- I did not see your comment- I think we bumped into each other...how nice.....
No I think that being Honest and calling a spade a spade matters...and yes, Racism is alive and well- and it is thriving where we would least expect it.....
and it is sad...but I have a clear conscience about what I have said...I am not ashamed that I sppke the truth here...not at all...
thanks....( lice????great now I will be itchy all day....)
thanks for all of your hard work..both of you....
I have a clear conscience about what I have said...
Me too.
I regret nothing I've said vis a vis racism.
Rep. Patrick Kennedy (D-RI), youngest of three children of Senator Edward M. Kennedy, will join his father and his cousin, Caroline Kennedy, in endorsing Barack Obama at American University at lunchtime today, sources said.
enigma
I have my concerns about Obama getting the nomination he deserves but I will leave them on my site. I don't understand why you would lose people because you do not support Hillary. She doesn't stand a chance and never did but who cares.
Obama is the man and remembering what happened to JFK comparisons between him and Obama and the Kennedy trio coming out for him today more than concern me. I don't know if you heard it but it was quite an inspiring speech Obama gave while accepting.
Hey Ms E4E-- if we disagreed about candidates, I'd still stick around & either argue my point and or agree to disagree. I know very few who support Hillary, and some suooprt her just because she is a woman. I am not that shallow. I am not voting for someone based on anatomy. The body parts that really matter to me are brains & spirit. Voting records speak louder than words, & that is why I can't support Hillary. I have heard other folks say they would vote for their cat or some other entity than Hill. I am sick of voting for the one who I think will do less harm- voting against the worst candidate, rather than feeling like I am actually voting FOR someone. My State does not vote till May, so I have to count on earlier voters to do the right thing. The majority of needed delegate numbers will have already been assigned. What a messed up system we have!
Speaking of which, my friend reports McCain's home state came up 10 million short for voting money. So they are closing precincts. Many people will have to travel a whol lot farther to get to a place to vote & for manny elderly, that will be both confusing & difficult.
Wonder if THAT is posted on McCain's web site?

oh fran-
I am always grateful for your input and glad to see you....and I think we have had plenty of dialogue...
You are far from shallow..and you have stuck around- you and jamie- even though I have indeed expressed much angst about this whole mess and how the clintons have behaved...i just believe that decorum amoung fellow dems is not asking alot....I mean do I expect full venom to come out for the Repugs- of course...esp after all the Games of the last 2 elections....there will be shaniagans....
Now about Arizona- that is interesting-and NO I had not heard that...wow....I also had heard that Ron Paul is huge there- I wonder if that is part of the it ?
Oh well....we must prevail and end this Repug Occupation of the Whitehouse...
This is the blog to go to on election night.
Come to mine when Pakistan votes.
I agree with Larry. It shouldn't matter who you support, as long as it is not a Republican. *shudder*
I suppose at this very moment, as I am posting this, you ar watching the State of the Union address. I can't bear to watch President Bush, however, so I will skip it. You can tell me all about it.
Cheers,
Josie

John Masefield
Larry:
Wow, what an amazing quote- you so make me smile..always the right quote at the right time...good to see you...
Josie:
I did indeed watch the hideous speech...horrible...as usual and as expected...but that is done..so now the talking heads are sitting dissecting it like a fine burnt quail...cough cough...
Renegade:
Ahhh that was a nice thing to say....my oh my....And about Pakistan- I don't think we even know if they are having elections in February do we??? ( and Bush wants to send troops there- but he forgot to mention that during the speech tonight) You are always welcome here- your wisdom...your insights...
YES, oh yes, from many one, and We The People...the rising vote counts are telling us that perhaps we (well they) are waking up, (we already being awake)
So onward!!
and stuff
perhaps we will redeem the promise and dreams of Thomas Jefferson......
Oh Thomas...
yes indeedy....of course we need to be able to Dream of Saving Our Country....
Have Hope...
There was a State of the Union address tonight? Huh?
Christopher...
Well, we can call it many things...I blogged it below...State of Disunion..PostMortem of the 7 years of the Regime ....no more Bush 53 Minute Speechs..
Hi Enigma,
Am catching up on my blog reading today.
Good news about the Kennedy endorsements for Obama, and also Toni Morrison.
I don't know who those Hillary supporters were (in all the blogs I read I don't think there is one!) but not reading your blog is their loss. As someone else said, it shouldn't matter who we support as long as it's a Democrat. Those that don't realize that don't understand the magnitude of what we are fighting.
I wish I saw something in his real life or his voting record to convince me of his rhetoric.
Believe me, if he gets nominated I will be among his most enthusiastic supporters. But I am deeply troubled by the lack of substance in his campaign, which of course is not to suggest for a second that Hill is any more substantive. All I have to go on is voting records, and I just don't see a whole lot of difference in the two of them. I hope I'm wrong.
Jolly:
I have a suggestion for you...okay..please don't think I am nagging..
(1) Do watch Caroline's speech and read her Oped- it is very sobering....and WHY she is endorsing him...watch her face when she talks- she sees that he is a MAN of Integrity....and Character...
(2) I really got to KNOW him through his books- I first read "Dreams of My Father " - a long time ago...I think it was 2 years ago....and then I read the Audacity of Hope this time last year....and those two books tell all about WHO he is, how he voted, mistakes he has made, what kind of father he is, things he cares about....and WHY....those books are what led me to my decision...( I had been an Edwards supporter...) and listening to my son....His books also are on tape- I have 3 neighbors now listening to him on tape ( because they did not want to read the books- time constraints..)...But seriously it was those Books, listening to him , very carefully, and also I signed up for his emails and also his Blog- I read his blog every day- and also all the emails from him , Michelle and his team...
(3) I also have read ALL of his policies ( and yes SOME need work...like the nuke one) but he has been improving and making needed changes...Also over on his website- there are all the endorsements from the Different Newpapers around the Country- and they tell WHY he would help different communities....today was the Arizona Republic and Seattle Times- both very different pieces...but very explanatory....( last week the New York Observer 's endorsement was excellent).. I try to read all of the Endorsements -as they tell what different communities NEED in a leader....
(4) The really interesting thing is that in the Audacity of Hope he did write about things that really matter right now- very prophetic- and he explained WHY and WHO he is with these issues- from everything from Values to Race to the Constitution....and in a way- that is what really bothered me about the Clinton attacks- it was not needed- this is someone that has spent a great deal of time hoping to Unite us - past the Race issues...and take it to a New Place....I hope that makes sense- but when you read the chapter about Race and he explains about how he felt about Katrina....wow....it just shook me to the core..he said what SO Many of us had been feeling, seeing and could not say.....
(5) His books in a very humble quiet way also show WHO he is , that he worked hard for his state and Chicago, and taught Constitutional Law...for 10 years...but also what he accomplished in all of his work..and why it matters to him....
I hope that helps...I have been doing phone banking - I could always call and help you with questions and concerns......
I am sorry Jolly to be soooo long winded...but I really do feel this man is Presidential...and I have never in all of my years felt that way about any candidate.... He is amazing....and we need Someone like HIM....Someone that works hard for Change....
and wants to heal our Country....and for me- that matters....
Namaste..
Maui:
I apolgize- I answered you- and the response vanished...sorry...
About Hill Supporters- I think that for so long they had set their minds and hearts on ONE person- and they also had their hopes built up by the MSM for a long time....so they are reluctant to hear a NEW Voice with a new Vision...
And I do think MANY people are indeed very much worried about WHAT we face- I think that has alot to do with How Many Voters have been showing up in record numbers...
E4e, who you support is unimportant. What matters is that your articles are informative and fair. Unlike some, you respect the positions of those who disagree.
This is Paul from BloggersForObama,
Just wanted to thank you for the comments!
Keep on hopemongering!
E4E. Just because some of us are as yet unsure of Obama should not make us strangers. Some of us are eager for a more progressive agenda and still hold out hope for Edwards. If Obama turns out to be the Democratic nominee we will support him and we will stop in and say hello still.
Hi Enigma,
To see you, nice!
Seems like the democratic machine is getting up some steam.
Can Barak drive the train, and what are the stops along the way?
Will he stop to pick up the homeless and the sick?
Will he tear down the walls of the prisons, and the barbed wire fences?
Esperamos, esperamos.
