Kucinich Leaves the Race.....
*****************************
Dennis is leaving the Presidential Race, and if you live in Northeast Ohio you know he has a battle on his hands for his Congressional seat....We need him representing Ohio, so I am relieved he is focusing on that battle. I also am very grateful that he did focus the campaign on issues that matter , from Healthcare to Economy to Iraq. I am sending him and Elizabeth a Thank You note.....I am grateful to him for being a Voice for all of us.
( and now he will have more time to spend with the Goddess - as the college fellas in my neighborhood fondly call her.)

How did Dennis score so well?
I'll miss his voice, so rarely heard yet always providing much-needed focus on social issues.
What pisses me off is that Dennis Has 4 dems nipping at his heels in a primary, POOR Behavior on their part, Dennis is a HERO and should NOT be challenged by his own...
boy oh boy it sure is fun being a democrat, we are always in the position of being in a circular firing squad
Thomas:
Okay...about the "Challengers", I would say two of them are well.....Bluedogs if you know what I mean....
NOT real democrats....all four are horrible...( 2 are power seeking sychophants...)
DK:
Thanks...he is a wonderful man...and very lucky we are that we got to hear him....even for these past few monthes...
Renegade:
ahhhhh, he truly loves her....and she him..I have seen both of them in interviews...and she is the real deal.....( and nice to know that even tall redheads can find such wonderful men....sigh....)
The good are silenced by the establishment, while the evil trounce on any remaining victim they can find.
Dennis supporters shouldn't lament because in their hearts they know the agenda he campaigned for represented the desires of working class citizens across America.
How can any conscious voter deny the need for single payer healthcare, the end of the Iraq blood bath, terminating trade agreements and developing a sane energy policy absent of oil addiction or dependance on nuclear reactors ?
Kucinich proposed legislation to protect Americans from these abuses and the dismantling of their Constitutional rights.
For his scrupulous approach to government he was painted by the MSM as an eccentric far left politician whose views were out of step with mainstream America.
His exclusion from the debates by the corporate media reinforces the major points I made in my new column THE SHAPE OF THINGS TO COME about what is in store for the destiny of this country if the remaining Presidential contenders don't make media reform a priorty for change upon taking office.
Still not convinced the fix is in for the return of the Klintonistas, Enigma ?
If I'm forced to choose between two corporate tools in November I'll write in the name of my dog because he's someone I can trust more than Billary or a Wingnut from the Reich. He's a survivor and identifys with the hardships of life, lessons that have taught him to be genuinely compassionate and caring of everyone he encounters.
Cosmic:
thank you....you always have wisdom and insights....and you are right that Dennis has really been a good guy...in Dark Times.....
And Folks do go read his latest....it is really good...

I too lament Kucinich leaving the race but I know he did it for good reason. I had the opportunity to meet Dennis and Elizabeth at a symposium a few years ago. I agree with all of your comments. When I first saw her walk in the room my thoughts were not kind (politician with gorgeous younger woman...) but as soon as I listened to them and talked to them I realized they both have beautiful personal energy that they use to try and make a better world. The bond between them was quite real and very touching.
I was not happy with some of the things Dennis did as a Presidential candidate, but agree that we need his voice in the House, and I fully support him in that endeavor... and on impeachment.
I'm not going to paint this as a pretty picture, or pretend he is dropping out of his own accord. dk dubbed the phrase of having been "kuciniched" by the media. To not invite or allow- to the point of taking it to a State Supreme Court to fight having a legitimate candidate be allowed to participate in a televised debate is big trouble & very disturbing. The media & court system just successfully silenced a progressive voice. They made the chioce for us. So if a candidate is not oober wealthy, the media can cut off their ability to get their word out- therefore snuffing out their political run. Not only does this squelch freedom of speech, but virtually determines election outcomes. Furthermore...
we miss out on hearing their important conversation about how to begin to fix this country. The question remains--will we allow networks to make these important choices for us?
Fran:
Everything you said is soooo true..and disturbing...and sad..and I of course have no answer to your last question...and it is a question we should not have to ask...
Tomcat:
you may have not been happy...but as a candidate we need to hear from him..and we didnt...
Ptlea:
welcome...so wonderful that you got to see them in person....I have watched them alot and together...they have something very real...and are a wonderful couple...and it was nice to hear a Peace Messege out there..
TOM: thanks for the video...I have to check it out..
E4e, regardless of my displeasure with him, I strongly opposed his exclusion. The media would exclude Edwards too, if they could, because they favor the two corporatist candidates.
Tomcat:
I just don't think anybody should be excluded- on any side....we are America- Everybody should be heard that is running....the MSM is bloated with power..and misusing it in Criminal Fashion...
