    Hey thanks ,

    You make me feel better about the world. BTW, if you or any of your friends have a concern that you need action on you can contact me. I'm a member of a blogging group called the AfroSpear/Sphere. We blog to help give progressives a voice.Kind of OT. I see you like English humor.If you're into science fiction/comedy there's a show that was number one in the world at one time called Red Dwarf. It has a Python like feel to it, its like Star Trek.Again thanks.

    Thanks for the heads up. Looking past the convention to the general election, I thought you might want to take a look at this article. You might also want to check out CovertHistory from time to time, for Gary Buell (Obama backer) has been posting a lot about the upcoming elections.

    Did you read that Obama is starting his search for a running mate?

    Great links, E4E. I must say that I found the Pirate Satellite Link disturbing. Not for his personal contributions, but for what was gathered and presented. Good lord, what the hell is wrong with these people. And it figures that some yahoos in my home state would be prominently displayed as the dumb crackers they are. Between this clown and the Moron of Marietta I'm ready to move now...

    it's funny that should mention that- I read that articale and I did think about you and your state...and shake my head...how can be people be like that...it is so frustating...you have our compassion for dealing with this kind of ignorance has to be so draining..sadly I think there are pocket of it and regional racism-but it is out there- even though it is 2008...I think if we are aware and talk about it that is what counts...as frustating as it is..
    ( I will be sure to check the link...btw how Obama won there in the primary is amazing eh?)

    Robert:
    I did not know that...but that is wonderful...I will try to learn more...

    The Borg Queen followed Obama to Florida today to pitch her case to seat the delegates the DNC Rules Committee said would go unseated if they moved up their primary date and a decision that she agreed to abide by months ago.

    Frankly, I'm sick and tired of the Borg Queen's sense of entitlement: she's the wife of a former Democratic president and the torch bearer of aging, paleo feminists and somehow the two makes her qualified to be Obama's vice president.

    Let me say hear and now. If Obama folds and agrees to take her and the Clinton family circus on his ticket, he is playing with fire. He will lose large swaths of support in numerous demographics.

    Say hello to President John McCain.

    jmsjoin said...

    Christopher
    I have been saying for quite a while now that President McCain is a given. The scenarios under which he happens are not good but they will do something to keep this mess going. The power Bush has amassed will not be allowed in Dem hands. As the next chosen Republican false God anyone who tries to speak the dirty truths about McCain as they were with Bush they will be labeled as unAmerican, unPatriotic or something!

    "The power Bush has amassed will not be allowed in Dem hands."

    AAP,

    I have to ask a rhetorical question from you? What power?

    If this were the 2004 election, then maybe I could see it but George Bush is radioactive. Even in GOP shitholes like Midland, TX (Bush's spiritual home), he polls at 39%.

    In many parts of the country, Bush's approval numbers are in the teens. Where do you see him deriving his power?

    I've been depressed and feeling worthless the last couple of days. I thought I'd cheer myself up by dropping by your place and now I'm sobbing. I'm so honored that you even read me. Why is it I can take hatred and turn it into a weapon to be used against the hater, but love undoes me. Kindness always reduces me to tears. These are the wages of a brutal childhood.

    AhhhOmnipotent Poobah:::
    Long time no see..I have missed you- I can not comment on your blog for some reason...big bummer...cuz you have a great blog and now I end up lurking there ;-)

    The picture was "acquired"....I have files and that is in my road trip file...I honestly don't know where I got it- but I think I found it looking for Norman Rockwell paintings one night..

    Christopher: hey there..I know I saw...I am as sick of her Entitled Quest as anyone is...it is divisive and disgusting...you know that if Obama had won there Florida would not even be discussed...he didn't even campaign there and he got like 45%....and she does not even mention Michigan..

    Patriot:
    I don't know why you keep saying that Obama is not going to win, you were optimistic for a while...but now you are again saying he will have his way ...I don't think ANY of the States have come out in Record Numbers to support DEMS, and in numbers that speak volumes about how they feel about Repugs, Repugs- and McCain have scored in record lows...( A third to a sixth of Obama 's Vote Counts- even in Red States..)

    People hate Bush and the repugs and the Votes Counts and the $$$$ donations reflect this...

    jmsjoin said...

    enigma
    Now I'm laughing because I'm going to sound like a Republican but misunderstand me. I absolutely believe Obama will win a fair one on one. You Know he is the man. It is the republican underhandedness that concerns me and all its meanings! Trust me I like you I wouldn't step on Mother enigma. I know your heart and only want to see it burst with happiness!

    enigma4ever said...

    Patriot::::
    welll....I think that makes sense....we all have concerns about the Repug tactics...But we can do what needs to be done...we can fight McCain.....we just need to come together as a party...

    And then there is this new one by Substitute Teacher, McBush.blogspot.com, otherwise known as McCain is Insane. Love your blog, Madam. I am a bit new to your electronic means of communication. I just got here from a distant planet and got a job as a substitute teacher. I was on my way to the star system you know as NGC 4414. And there was a glitch in the wormhole. I can't get back, so I am stuck here. I must say, you humans are fascinating and I am spellbound by your methods of choosing leaders.

    You know I agree with you 1,000% but I listened to this exchange between Obama and McCain. Obama criticized McCain and rightly so for not voting in favor of giving the troops added benefits. McCain in his smart ass holier than thou tone said I do not need someone who has not served in the military telling me how to treat the troops and that was the end of that one.
    McCain shut him up and it made McCain look strong. That should have been the beginning and Obama should have shut him up.
    Obama should have responded saying I do not have to be a woman to know how to treat them.Thus shutting McCain up, taking no punches, shutting him up, and appearing wiser as he is and more presidential.
    He has to learn how to fight like theses idiots. Taking the higher ground is just going to be a quicker way out of town. Do I have to teach Obama how to debate on this level? If he does not learn we are already done!

    Patriot:
    I don't agree with you about the McCain exchange- McInsane came off looking Stingy and like a grumpy old geezer...WHY with- hold Anything from our VETS and troops- he did not even have a reason- he did not even show up to vote - He looked very bad..and so he attacked Obama..and he also always calls him a young man- VERY disrespectful- he talks about him like he showed up to mow his yard...you don't call a Senator a "young man"....( esp if you don't want people looking at your age)....

    I think he going to be dine debating McInsane..McCain has a HUGE temper problem...he looks out of touch and is having trouble answering questions with calm and without agitation- he gets VERy easily agitated and irritated..watch him..

    We are not done- and we need to not give McCain so many passes on his bad behavior- his VOTE against the troops sank him, nothing that Obama did or said- it was his OWN vote- and if you listen again to WHAT Obama said- he spoke the Truth...which is Exactly what we need right now- and MANY VETS and VETS families heard what he said- and you can't tell me they were not insulted about how McCain voted- weren't you ?

    Read the papers- and the jouranlists- he was blasted...now the weekend talk shows - we will see what they do...I find it very interesting he is releasing his med records- a portion the same time he has meetings with potential VEEPs....he is struggling...

    So Patriot...lets quit feeding his bloated "I am such a Hero" ego and really look at him as he is right here and right now- he should not be in charge of ANYONE"S sons...period.

    enigma4ever said...

    Patriot:::
    I screwed up that sentence above- what I was trying to say was that the debates are going to be very very interesting...there is no denying it- but Obama taught Constitutional Law and fought for people in Chicago- he knows how to fight back...he really does...

    McCain only knows how to argue and this anger problem is going to show...( it was horrendous in the Repug debates- but this will be worse)....

    Don't worry I knew what you meant. McCain is no hero he is a victim of circumstances at the most and he is very underhanded. That and the R Disinformation juggernaut is what we have to beat. those are my big concerns to start with. We cannot stop fighting and we will not. Our future depends on it!
    I was going to discuss Mccain lying and dumping all those who got him this far so he can stay the course while appearing righteous but I noticed the conversation at Lydia's you were in on and maybe I won't I don't know. Take care we are okay. Happy memorial Day!
    My son just called and told me he was receiving rocket fire all day every day but he wanted to be relocated to the thick of things. He really concerns me!
