TUESDAY THOUGHTS....

********************************
" It is good to have an end to journey towards, but it is the journey that matters, in the end".
Ursula K.LeGuin

I am trying to clean up my yard....and my heart on a couple of issues....and of course my porch....I don't have much to say....I am still reeling from watching some of the events of the past few weeks...We need to have closure and start getting ready to fight McCain for the Whitehouse....So today I worked on my potted plants, cleaned my porch, and made new cushions. I need to be able to go out on the porch and Just Think....

Any Thoughts ?....The Porch is open ....

Peace to you too Mandt..

I needed some time out with dirt...and to watch the birds and the chipmunks...and for some reason my house has become THE Cathouse on the block....yet the birds still come...( I have three cats that have been sprawling in the front and back , sunbathing like they own the place- and they aren't mine , so there is alot of unhappiness as my cats inside stroll by the windows...)

namaste....

I know what you mean about your indoor cats watching the outdoor cats stroll by.

Baby would go crazy and try to attack the outdoor cats that came to close to the window. However, lately she is quietly calming down to growls and very little attempt to go nuts when one comes by.

She still growls when Princess Pepper gets to close and I hope over time they will get along a lot better.

Me, I don't go out into the yard. Nothing out there for me to do since I rent and don't really cook so therefore no barbeque's for me.

Still I bet you have a very pretty garden and you need to post more pictures of it over time.

PS: I did my own special post on the Hillary comment.

Take care my sweet rose and ...

God Bless you.

Dirt is good. I tinkered some in our yard yesterday. With a corner lot, I always have this feeling that the weeds are winning.
I used to do marathon yard work- thought I'd work a few hours & next thing I knew, it was 6 hours later.
Now I just try to stick with one project at a time & keep it reasonable.

Ok so up on your porch- Sure I'll take a glass of ice water or a cup of tea. Sometimes you just have to kick back & hold down the porch furniture as your "to do " task.
Life goes on & by & it can be a relief to just watch & breathe.

A lot of the recent events have left me goggle eyed and speechless, too. I hope it'll be over soon.

We have a mixed family. An in and out cat and an inside cat and one elder cat who has pretty much retired from going out. Their status depends on their origin. The inside cat sneaks out once in a while, but then thinks better of it and lets us catch her.

I know...we need to take a breath...the recent events have been tiring...About the Kitties...yeah, we have the Old Princess- 13 and Queen of the Castle and Not to be disturbed...she has her Sun Spots and Her Food Platform, and we are to give her space...then there is Young One- bit Orange I need trouble Cat...always into something of looking for something...( and they do not get along....)ANd then there is little Yellow Dog who thinks she is a cat...they make quite a little group, especially if there is something good to watch in the yard...like a Skunk...or racoon. or Mrs.Opossum....then all of three of them run and romp to the different windows on full alert...

and now I am moving the Bird Feeder up to the porch....for their enjoyment...and mine....

FRAN:::

Yes friend...a glass of Sun Tea for you....ahhh, yes, like you I just pace everything now...I have to...it is too much...I just do what I can...and it is very messy...and I think a wild flower approach is the the best....I rent, and so I just try to make it nice...mostly for me..and my son...

Our pets have always gotten along, some better than others. All except for one very mean cat, who hated everything and everyone, even ME (and *I* was the one who saved her life, adopting her off the street, even though she repaid me by sending me to the hospital for stitches after she raked my eyebrow in half -- I didn't know eye skin could bleed that much).

I love to sit out on our patio with the two old dogs & watch the birds, listen to the crickets, bask in a gorgeous sunset. Put on some nice soft music, maybe classical because it goes so well with nature.

Gotta feed your soul sometimes. All this constant malarky jangles the nerves.

if that's a picture of your yard than I am jealous! I should post a pic of mine which is in major transition! We killed off our grass (st. augustine which does not belong in Central TX plus sucks up water like nobody's business), some poison ivy we found mosying over our fence from the city's greenbelt. But.. I finished taking classes at the Lady Bird Johnson's Wildflower center so this summer, we'll go native. Good idea. I'll post on that today or tomorrow and post it with pics. Kinda like the before and after but of course, I'm not even close to the 'after'!

Just keep telling yourself that Obama only needs 46 more pledged or Super Delegates to lock the nomination and I expect he'll have way more than that by next Wednesday. After that, I'll be smiling as I mow the lawn and water the plants.
