Thursday Night Soulfood....5.8.08

***************************************
"We tend to think of the Rational as a higher order, but it is the Emotional that marks our lives.
One often learns more from 10 days of agony than from ten days of contentment."
Merle Shain

It is a Long and Winding Road....I used to think that phrase was so trite...I don't anymore....we have all been on this Road together, it has not really been Rational , but it surely has been emotional...But it is the Road that we are on....to Something Better...to Change...

...I think these last monthes have stretched all of us...in a way that we never expected...I never thought that Hope was meant to test Bounds or be elastic.....But I have also come to believe that Hope is woven , and we all are the threads....Namaste.

{{{ I posted "Moonriver" over on Enigma Cafe as my music, but tonight I am putting it here...Click the title, a really lovely version of it by Katie Melua....}}}

I've worn my Obama Hoodie to work today - it's chilly, foggy, and grey. I feel warm and cozy in my Obama '08 hoodie. You have to love casual Fridays.

Diva:

Larry:

Whenever I think of "Moon River," I think of Audrey Hepburn. Can't help it.

Sometimes cliches become cliches because they're so accurate in describing the human condition. The long and winding road metaphor is something we all experience in life's journey. When you're talking about the journey of a society/people/civilization, the road's much longer, and contains more dangerous turns. But thanks to the activism and actions of people like you over the centuries, I do think humanity is going forward down that road.

Hope is the promise of the future!
Tracking Myanmar as we feed their Junta!

Watching Lebanon erupt!

Keeping an eye on Russia and Georgia threatening war!

Watching Bush veto us into oblivion!

Watching Obama improve!

We have hope, we'll be okay, Just hold on! I am going to listen to your song now thanks!

I woke up early and saw on Yahoo! that Senator Obama had picked up 2 more Superdelegates. At about 10 it said 3. At lunch time it said 5. Just now it said 6 and a labor union.

Isn't it nice being someone with a padded seat on the bandwagon, instead of SRO like these guys?

Enigma, I am catching up on my blogging. Phew! Sorry I haven't been over to visit in a while.

So, now the real race begins. Obama or McCain in November?

It's not over until it's over, is it?

The world is watching. :-)

Josie:
Don't worry we won't let McCain continue the Bush antics....in all states so far McShame has only scored 1 third to half of Obama Votes...we will work hard to keep him out of the Whitehouse.....

Sewmouse:
All Day he picked up a delegate an hour- NINE at the end of the Day and the Federal Employee Union...

Patriot:
hey there Huckleberry friend..we will do our best to keep this saving of the country on a path to Something better...and Regime Change with Obama....

XDell:
thank you for having hope that our Humanity is on a better path...even if the road can be bumpy...and long....and winding...all of us , by speaking out are Moving this Country Forward....Regime Change is within Reach...

Yeah we're okay! I get a bust of hope and solace every time I talk to you and my two sons in this. You make me laugh, what made you say Huckleberry friend? Did I tell you about my unique childhood or hopes for my kids book and title? Anyway right on as usual!

Huckleberry Friend is from Moon River (waiting 'round the bend, my huckleberry friend, moon river)!

Obama is officially ahead in committed super-delegates! I've taken the pack off for the day & am following Jenna's Wedding. Anyone is welcome to come to a virtual trashing.

Don't worry about Fake News and BillO, they are slowly taking themselves down...( or not so slowly...) This election cycle will show how broken they are....( especially now that they have Rove).By November they will feel their own failures....( they were not even allowed to cover Jenna Bush's wedding !!!! ouch)
