( Surges are expected to be 18-20 feet high, this does not count waves of 30-40 Ft. off shore.) There are 2 issues that are barely being discussed- levees can sustain would even sustain a CAT 3, or worse, and the pumping stations have to be manned- but at a certain point - the workers themselves have to evacuate. In the Comment thread, I do raise questions about the Elderly and Impoverished, and whether they have been removed and sheltered.( I will blog about this more later).
