So this has been bugging me ALL day..Something Stinks really really Stinks about the Choosing of Sarah Palin for VP...So here is the thing....the McCoot has only met her ONCE and spoken with her on the phone..and then thursday he met with her in Arizona and let her know she was "CHOSEN".....NOW I am going to point something strange out ....THE LAST Person to visit Alaska this month was NOT McCain it was BUSH....yes, it was his last stop before heading to Asia for the Olympics....NOW call me a suspicious person at this point ( aren't we all????).
WHY would he stop in Alaska ??? and WHY right before the Olympics..right before the little Georgia Wag the Dog Moment....the OMG the Return of the Cold War Moment...and then picks Ms Alaska gets selected...for VP- though NO ONE has vetted her or met her...this woman would be mere feet from the Power of Our Country....( It kind of reminds me of Harriet Miers and the Supreme Court Debacle).
SO WAS BUSH IN ALASKA CHOOSING THE VEEP??? AUGUST THIS YEAR THIS MONTH,( August 4th..Mere weeks ago) THE LAST STATE THAT BUSH WENT TO - THEN HE WENT ON TO THE OLYMPICS AND THEN VACATION....SOMETHING STINKS...

I don't know the answer, but I have some questions about the meeting.
Who cares? McCain is handing the election over to Obama & Biden. His choice really boosts Obama-- because now Obama is the experienced guy-- compared to dark horse what's her name.
I think Gramps buckled under the pre election scruitny & realized it would only get worse.
What we do know about the Alaska beauty queen is she favors drilling in the Alaska Natural Wildlife Refuge (ANWR) & she already struck up huge a Natural Gas deal w Canada.
A gun totin, Ntl Rifle Association lifetime member, baby Momma', and Natural resource Whore.... Hockey Mom, absolutely no Federal or Foreign experience.... Miss Alaska beauty Queen!!!
They can crown that candidacy doomed.
What will her campaign slogan be--
" let the kids take care of the baby... I'm busy with politics"

The Republican Party no longer deserves status as an actual serious political party. It has degenerated into a collection of clowns in a circus with a strict admission policy to its big tent. That means you will be asked at the gate if you are born again with a commitment to Juh-eesus, opposition to science, support of wars, any wars, also support of torture, secret prisons and government spying on American citizens.
Anyone who votes Republican this time around has got to be either an idiot or not paying attention at all.
Of course many many of the people who voted for Bush once, then again are still around and eligible to vote. These are the idiots or sleepwalkers who, with a little vote fraud, just could pull another GOP coup and install McCain, who is clearly nuts from his
Vietnam experience. The Republicans may as well nominate Colonel Walter E. Kurtz (remember, the nutjob in Apocolypse Now).
And McCain has now chosen as his running mate a breeder (five children) with no clue that overpopulation is ruining the planet, and a staunch anti-choice candidate. She is about as ready to step into the Oval Office if McCain kicks off as your average Scotch Terrier. All this is apart from the fact that McCain didn't even put her through any serious vetting process.
This choice reveals McCain. It reveals that he is not a serious candidate. Just in case there was any doubt.
oh woman, you are soooo suspicious! maybe Bush stopped in Alaska for some great King Crab before flying on to Beijing. now if we find out he was eating medium-rare moose, personally shot & served by NRA Palin, well ...
though I have to say, if Bush did have a hand in selecting Palin as VP, then he did his usual bang-up job in assessing reality. I wonder what the real neocons think of her. They are the ones calling the shots. Do they see another Bush-like malleable puppet?
I keep reading this is a cynical ploy to appeal to the bitter PUMA hags and the some of Hillary's 18 million supporters.
Maybe but, here's the thing.
Most of Hillary's supporters have crossed over to Barack Obama. It's over and they realize what is at stake.
The PUMA hags are just a small percentage of the electorate. Their numbers so small that could get the money raised for one bus to take to Denver.
I think the Old Coot's (il)logic is by selecting Quayle 2.0, he's appealing to GOP women and particularly, the red states in the south.
