Then It Was Thursday....

On the porch...Let's talk...I will share my Sun Tea...

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I am working on Silent Fallout & Watery Lies today..sitting on the porch,...eat peaches and edit...and take a Break from the Other Research ( yeah the MOVE research)....because I have some Other Things on my mind...
I am also really thinking really hard about the Polls and Obama...I think Something Is Funny, like Cooked...I mean I do not know a soul that is voting for McCoot, and there are NO signs or stickers here.NONE ...and I am in the Heartland of Ohio...and also when he comes here ( which he does like every other week,they can barely fill his Invite ONLY Venues, less than 400 people at a time, and NO lines, and he limits and controls the Press coverage and interaction here.) And yeah..down below also some illuminating McCoot Information that the Media has failed AGAIN to report....
We Need to Fight Back Folks......
And yeah...6-6 is right Beatles knew how to fight back best...so the song today is " Revolution"...it is up to us as parents to join with our kids and stop McCoot the Warmonger and get the Whitehouse out of the Rethug hands once and for all....MSM won't help us, we as Bloggers have to do This OurSelves....We have Journalistic Integrity, we are Not Propaganda Tools with a McManCrush.....
People may be embarrassed to admit that they'll vote for McCain, but they'll still vote for him. I don't put too much stock in the lack of overt support. There are plenty of dumbasses around.
I don't know Randall...even the VETS in my hood- some of them who were repug are DONE with the party and Bush and they say it- McCain is Fucking Nuts...( well they say it politer than that...but still)
Yes. Polls are like gobos in stage lighting. They're meant to distort the light; to block, color, or diffuse some portion of the beam before it reaches the lens. It is, in essence, an artificial object placed between the light source and the lens to cause the illumination to fall upon its subject in a manner that is not true to the actual shape of the lens.
Polls are meant to distort the truth. Some say they are meant to give a guesstimate, a close proximity to reality, but nothing, especially in this day and age, could be further from the truth. Random samplings are not necessarily always science.
**Survey results (polls) may be affected by response bias, where the answers given by respondents do not reflect their true beliefs. This may be deliberately engineered by unscrupulous pollsters in order to generate a certain result or please their clients, but more often is a result of the detailed wording or ordering of questions. Respondents may deliberately try to manipulate the outcome of a poll by e.g. advocating a more extreme position than they actually hold in order to boost their side of the argument or give rapid and ill-considered answers in order to hasten the end of their questioning. Respondents may also feel under social pressure not to give an unpopular answer. For example, respondents might be unwilling to admit to unpopular attitudes like racism or sexism, and thus polls might not reflect the true incidence of these attitudes in the population. In American political parlance, this a phenomenon is often referred to as the Bradley Effect.
If the results of surveys are widely publicized this effect may be magnified - the so-called spiral of silence.
Polls are like a dog dragging its ass across the carpet...How do I know this...random sampling, of course.
Love the Einstein quote. My favorite?
"Power takes as ingratitude the writhing of its victims." -Rabindranth Tagore.
I hope your spidey sense is tingling in a good way, but it feels like you are picking up on more quick moves done behind a curtain. The Wizard of Oz is rearranging the furniture in the voting booths, perhaps?
Polls wax and wane and change each day.
Look at GALLUP: they're like taking a person's blood pressure reading.
But this much I do know and I am worried.
There are four words I have for Barack Obama:
STOP PRAISING JOHN MCCAIN.
Stop it. Cut it out. The Obama preamble of "My opponent is an honorable man," or, "John McCain is an American hero," is helping McCain get elected. It's what's called a mixed message and in politics -- if you want to win, you can't send mixed messages.
People I know who work for Obama are saying on background that they're worried he doesn't believe he deserves to be where he is today. This is very grave and it must be nipped in the bud immediately because everytime Obama praises the Old Coot, there's a paradoxical effect of Obama's poll numbers dropping and McCain's climbing.
If Obama won't knee-cap McCain, then he quickly needs to announce his veep choice of Joe Biden who doesn't share this fear and who will function as Obama's attack dog.
Politics -- especially national politics, aren't for sissies and hoity-toities. Just ask John Kerry.
I like that song. Excellent choice.
I absolutely LOVE that song by the Beatles. One of the top 3-4 I think for me.
And thank you for being so inspirational. You made my morning.
Chris: I heartily agree. The dems keep acting like adults, which is polite and honest. That won't cut it in this race of down-and-dirty Rovian tactics.
Obama needs to fight fire with fire. He doens't even need to lie (like the opposition does). There's so much factual condemning fodder on McLame just waiting to be sprung on the public. I hope he goes there.
Hey Torrance!
Enigma you are right to smell a skunk! We have talked about this before as the race seems to be artificially called close by the complicit MSM!
They have to call it close so that it can be stolen a third time. If it looks like it can't be stolen it gets much worse. I will shut up!
Anonymous said...
NO average patriot DON'T shut up! You hit the nail on the head!
Look to the exit polls for the truth (again). Not that it'll do any good.
Helen
Thanks! Enigma knows how I believe and ... no I have to shut up. I promised enigma I would keep it on my site and I do as much as possible!
Something is definately rotten in Denmark! How the hell can McCain be any where near Obama?? I guess the newness of the nation's relationship with Obama is wearing off and the racist underbelly is showing more and more each day. Sorry to be so depressing...
Commander Zaius said...
Down here in South Carolina I see plenty of McCain stickers but whomever I talk with their support for McCain is weak, but that doesn't mean they will stay home election day. The lies about Obama rage like wild fire down here with some even taking seriously one lie that said he might be the Antichrist. While many of the right wingnuts might not like McCain they are honestly scared of Obama. I've done my part with those around me trying to shoot the lies down but you won't believe the numerous versions of the crazy look the wingnuts give me. Right now Obama needs to stop playing nice and attack McCain.
D.K. Raed said...
The insidiousness of polls is that they can and do manipulate election outcomes. People who don't like to think too much constantly read & see, well hmmm, everyone else is voting for him, so ....
Sorry to say propaganda works. Fighting it is very tricky because of the methinksthoudostprotestoomuch effect. Christopher correctly points out an immediate non-timid response is very effective. And of course, stay on message, don't just fight it for a few days & hope you connected, keep bringing it up. You cannot bring up the truth too often, and you cannot deny a lie too vehemently.
ps, Beatles! revolution, yeaay, because we want some peace & sometimes that's what it takes!
Bradda said...
Pretty well said Beachbum. Man, your at ground zero for the propaganda machine huh? Thanks for fighting the good fight and spreading the truth!
OH it was my pleasure, Enigma! And today Bradda was trolled instead of me. What wonderful deed did I do to deserve a troll-free day?
Bradda said...
Don't lie Helen, you sicked them on me!! HAH.
enigma4ever said...
oh bradda...so sorry....
those damn trolls get so lonely and hungry...well we don 't let them hang here...we sweep them out the door....
( see Helen only the Great ones have trolls to battle ;-)
Anonymous said...
Well I have to say, Bradda, that little coward couldn't stand up to 3 guys and he knew it. Troll-stalkers are little wimps who are afraid of everyone so they pick on women more because they think we are less likely to fight back. For the most part, we do put up with more and are more polite (well, not me anymore!). You guys shut them the hell down and they leave. Very impressive!
Anonymous said...
Enigma, frankly, I've always been a bit baffled by mine - it likes to say that no one reads my blog, I get no notice in the blogosphere, and trivializes everything I say but then it spouts all about me on its blog as if I'm as influential as HuffPo, which is pretty funny.
And makes no sense!
And, it's been swept out the door :)
Christopher said...
How the hell can McCain be any where near Obama?? I guess the newness of the nation's relationship with Obama is wearing off and the racist underbelly is showing more and more each day.
I've read numbers from as low as 3% to as high as 20% of white voters who self-identify as "liberal" who political scientists say will not under any circumstances pull the lever for a Black man or Black woman for president.
And this is 2008 for frake sake and not 1908.
Bradda said...
It's quite sad Christopher. 20%?? Geez. The thing I don't get is that in 2000 and to a lesser extent 2004, at least the right had Bush. Idiot sure but people for some reason thought he was one of them. "I'd like to have a beer with him!". Well McSame is NOT that guy, in reality or what the campaign shows. So there is no hiding behind semantics this time around.
D.K. Raed said...
To drink a beer w/McCain? He'd have to be wearing a lobster bib & I have to be constantly reaching over w/my napkin to wipe off his drips. If it's too foamy, he'd be choking & spraying me in the face. And then he'd knock it over about 1/2 way through so even my pants were soaked. AH, NO THANKS!
Christopher said...
I guess the Old Coot uses beer to mix in his Metamucil.
Yuke!
enigma4ever said...
Oh my now I have visions of McCoot with drool, metamucil Beer ( hey we should patent that...) and hmm, that would mean depends too.....oh eeeks , the mental image....
Anonymous said...
OK I just spewed water across the room Enigma. Nice imaging!!! LOL!!!!!
enigma4ever said...
you are so welcome..
Hmmmm....
McMaverick Depends...that would require some kind of classy name- he could use it as a fundraiser....
too funny...you know DK started it with the Bib ;-)
enigma4ever said...
( OH AND CHRIS AND THE METAMUCIL BEER....SERIOUSLY WE NEED TO PATENT IT..)
MY CAPS BUTTON IS STUCK AGAIN..SHOOT..
Anonymous said...
Maverick Depends!! We're soooo mean! But it's soooo funny!! OMG...
Christopher said...
Maverick Depend?
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
enigma4ever said...
Hmmm, or should it be McMaverick Depends....
"When Independence is a state of mind"
( or something like that....he has a crappy ad on here about "McCain is the Real Maverick, An Independent Man"....oh FUKE!!!!)
D.K. Raed said...
Hey, what about putting McC in a rubber suit? That way his whole body can exude whatever ickiness it wants & it will stay inside the rubber suit. hmmm, needs a rubber mask, too, for when that puffy blob on his face finally pops. accckkkk! run for cover, It's The Blob!
enigma4ever said...
oh my we have sunk to a new low...so what he really needs is a Hazmet suit ????
X. Dell said...
I have an idea. If McCain doesn't know how many houses he owns, let's all move into one of them. He won't notice.
X. Dell said...
BTW, the polling is going to fluctuate between now and November. Given what I have seen before in this kind of situation, Obama would need about a ten point margin. He should push ahead after the Democratic Convention. If the Republicans are a snoozefest, that might do it for him.
enigma4ever said...
Xdell:
yeah...I hear ya...6-6" well, I bet the polls change within 24 hours of Dick and Bush speaking"....he might be right....
( About the houses..yeah...like he would ever notice...)
Anonymous said...
XDell - let's go one further: A new reality show, consisting of liberal squatters in one of McLame's mansions! See how long we can live there before we are discovered and evicted!
Anonymous said...
OH and I truly hope the Rethug nat'l convention will be a snooze-fest. Prominent rethugs are staying away in droves. I hear Ahhhhnold will not be attending.
enigma4ever said...
Helen::
OMG- NOW that is a great idea...I have to confess I have so many empties in my hood and EVEN five blocks over with the Rich People Houses....that I think about Squatting all the time- the logistics..how does it work...
( and the Rich People's Homes- the city is still making their lawns look nice- even though the wreathes on the door show how OLD they have been empty...and there is no furniture and not trash ever on Sundays...)
It made me feel better to realize that there were as Many or More empties over there as there are in my own hood....
BUT I love your idea...( you Xdell is a pretty good writer...pitch your idea...)
BTW I am making RePug Puppets this weekend..
Mitt,
Cindy and Joey L....
WHO else should I make...?
Anonymous said...
Oooh! Xdell write something up - I have lots of connections to reality show people. I actually just pitched this to my friend who does The Biggest Loser (not literally ... heh heh... I mean he is one of the top producers). So no one can steal it now!!
