~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Obama has been working hard this weekend...talking to The People....and so has Biden and his wife Jill.People are showing their support...on the ground and in donating, even though times are tough people gave 10 and 20 dollars....and it added up to 150 Million in September ( click the title to read about it...)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Really Beautiful Videos of St.Louis Rally, there are tons up today at YouTube.

Video of St.Louis:

175,000 Came out to see Obama this weekend...they stood in lines for hours to wait to hear him...and listen to him speak about Our Future..and how we get there...Financially this fall has been the worst since the Depression, and yet people dug through their pockets and purses and millions gave....150 Million to this Movement in September, this Campaign...this is about supporting a Man that Can Lead..and that they believe in.....NO ONE can take that away from us...OUR Future is in our hands, I look at these photos and video and I see us, these people are all of us....It is time to take back this Country, OUR Country after 8 years of Hell....

At least part of the motivation for Colin Powell's endorsement has to be guilt over his UN speech that helped launch us into this horrible war. Powell has to be embarrassed and ashamed and guilty over the deaths of more than hundred thousand iraqis and of the four thousand plus Americans killed.

This endorsement may have some impact with the military vote.

McCain's comeback is that he has the endorsements of four secretaries of state including that old war criminal Kissinger. Now there's a recommendation. Dr. Strangelove for John McCain.

yup...
I just rewatched the Interview again...
and I have to say I miss Russert...Brokaw would not know how to itnerview his own mother....there are so many questions that he should have asked..and so many followup questions he should have asked about the Endorsement and the War...( occupation of Iraq)....About Powell...I think he has regrets...even anger...if Obama gets elected...it is up to him how he heals what he did...will he offer his services...will he try to clean up the mess he contributed to ? I think he will...

( I don't think that could be said for any of the other Criminals at the Helm....bush ? wolfowitz ? Cheney ? Rove ? All of them are war criminals...and should be given justice for what they did....

I was struck watching Brokaw that he said " we all know NOW there were NO WMD....like it was not a big deal...it is a HUGE deal...)

and McCain has Kissenger....oh, yeah that is something that can make anyone with a brain cringe...

but you are right for military and VETS the Endorsement by Powell is helpful...

The Powell endorsement was a good thing, but I don't know if it will make any difference.

Why do I say that?

On my site I have a link for Suzie-Q's Blog. Go over to her site and scroll down to the Naomi Wolf post she put up and watch the two videos she linked to.

The first is a five minute interview by Meridith Vieira from the Today Show and the second is an interview a little over 27 minutes.

Both these videos are very important and I urge you to read the post and watch them.

You will hear and read much of what I have been saying for a long time now.

This is vital for Our Country so please go and follow up on this comment. It would be greatly appreciated by me.

Thank you and ...

God Bless you.

I know about the Naomi Wolf video..I will watch it tomorrow....( Dada posted it and quit blogging- that was his way of coping...I guess..)...Here's the thing there is much fearmongering going on right now....some of it by people with a good heart and even really smart...even Dems.....we can call do what we can do...I can only do what I can do here in Ohio...the heart of corruption....and Repug Shenanigans....

I know all about fighting things that are Bigger, Evil....

I can only do what I can....blog..encourage people to to fight back and fight on...the repugs want us all to give up right here...right now...read Suzie Q's top post...she has posted what McCain said today...he knows that he is beat....

watch the videos I posted...they will show you the REAL America....the America that is fighting back...that is why I posted them....

I never realized those St Louis arches could make such a stunning setting. It took my breath away! Two comparisons come to mind: that huge Obama rally in Germany (with the angel on the big pillar), and (can't help it) Bobby Kennedy, the way he worked the crowds, addressing their needs & fears & providing hope.

Anony-Paranoid reminds me I need to watch the rest of that Naomi Wolf vid. I only got part-way through it before I chickened out.

It is a mixed bag-- we HAVE to be positive. Plant the seed for what is good & needs to be done. Tose massive crowds show that people care, and people reject the hate & divisive stuff McCain is serving up--which is healing & heartwarming.

But hearing about electric machines changing people's votes right in front of their eyes..... of all the smart strategies the Obama campaign has done-- they HAVE to watchdog the voting process.
the people running the polling place should have been alarmed & stopped everything when voter after voter was choosing Obama, picked Obama & the vote went to the McCain column.

People need to watch those machines and demand they be shut down ASAP when malfunctioning.

I have no trust in the current administration whatsoever- and they have fully earned our distrust.

This last final stretch is critical & crucial.
No more damned stolen elections.

Clearly Obama is the wise choice and, although I am not a big fan of Powell, he spoke eloquently about Obama in his endorsement, and he is an insider who knows McCain & the party very well.
As far as I am concerned he has redeemed himself for making this endorsement of Obama, breaking through each line item falsehood that has been presented.

I keep seeing these huge and enthusiastic rally turnouts which are encouraging. But I'm fearful that they will lead to a false sense of security that the battle has been won, leading to complacency and a lack of follow-through at the voting booth. Please let these fears be unfounded.

The most encouraging - and I have to admit it had me literally speechless for quite a while when I heard it on the radio - thing I've heard lately was that THE CHICAGO TRIBUNE - for the very first time in it's HISTORY - chose to endorse a DEMOCRATIC candidate for President.

The Trib is THE paper of the 30% here in the windy city. This is HUGE in my book.

I will still vote - and keep at my family & friends who have been brainwashed by the pundits, however!

It's been a while since I felt so proud of that city (St. Louis) where we spent so many years. It's a good sign. Now we need all those people to VOTE.
