Hope For Us All.....

*************************************
It was a grueling sad week last week....
and this week has still been rather tense,
and hard to watch...
but I still have Hope....
The Debates last night
we had Three People talking about
Things that Effect US, WE THE PEOPLE....
and that gives me Hope.

Barack Obama is right" There has been plenty of Heat in DC, it is time for Some Light".

If you want to read a really good post today, go over to Lydia Cornell's, and also in the thread, Larry, Bartle,Cliff and Mike really have a nice thread going with news, information etc..It is an oasis. She is on the Blogroll. You also can listen to her radio show ( or stream it on your computer).

On the Enigma Homefront:
I am getting a NEW Furnace today FINALLY...( those who read here Know I have been waiting since November, as I battled with my 1951 Vintage Moncreif Furnace...and with a very stubborn Landlord. My furnace definently wanted to retire, it creaked and groaned like the one in a Christmas Story. So hopefully by tonight 6-6 and the Critters will no longer be confined to the 3 rooms on the 2nd floor....I am so excited I can 't stand it. Thank you all for letting me Grumble and Groan. And by the way, last week when I was out of power and poking around in the dark searching for candles , guess what I found???? yes, My ever prescious so dear 10 year old LLama Soft Grey Fingerless Gloves that my Ex gave me many years ago....I was so sad, they were my last thread to the Northwest...so special. Well, I must have Black Out Angels, because the gloves are found....( and I also wear them to type ...so I am so happy to have them again..) Anyways...it is Very Cold here by the Lake, but we re going to finally be warm. Thank you all for listening and being so kind as I grumbled....Be nice to each other and share the hot coco. My Power might be out for a bit as they put my Heater in, but I will be back in the eve.Namaste.

*(Click the Title, Amazing Song : Bono + MJ Blige "One", it is not just a Love song, It is about Us, how we are One People....that we need to "Carry Each Other"...powerful Messege"*

As long as there are butterflies, we all can hope to change for the better.

Maybe we need more Butterflies....

Nice graphic.

I collect butterflies.

Several of my friends have given me butterfly jewelry and cell phone bling over the last several months. Of all the nice things I got for Christmas, my butterfly stuff was the best.

The butterflies remind me to keep trying and they remind me to be myself. I shouldn't be ashamed of who or what I am. I am beautiful. My destination is what defines me, not the cocoon I came from.

my friend - please don't get disappointed - as whom ever wins will still be the candidate for the corporations..it can be no other way - not yet...hugs

Thanks all..

AZ: I try not to get down, but I do hate when I see a Good Person being attacked...and the Media eggs on the carnage....it is wrong..But I also stand a little taller, watching this Brave Person Walk on, and he is walking, going door to door for us- as he campaigns in each state- and I feel the same way about John Edwards he has to stand there and watch all that- that had to hard too...and I was proud that he has defended Obama and stood up for what is right....I watched the Debate last night- and I was very proud of Edwards and Obama.....
but thanks....
Hugs to you too....

Dizzy: Butterflies are so beautiful...they represent Change.....Hope...the Hidden Unexpected Beauty each of us holds...I am always amazed at how they move people and touch them. I took my son when he was about 7 to the Butterfly Exhibit at the Seattle Woodland Park Zoo, I will never forget watching one land on his shoulder.....it was magical watching his face....( many zoos have Butterfly tents and exhibits and you can watch the cacoon process etc...I hope there is one near you- you and your kids would love it...) From reading your blog- you are so creative and the way you read and explore and your love of music- I am not surprized that you love them ;-)
namaste ....

Jamie: we can always Hope the Better....always...

My kids have an abundant fascination with all insects and the like. Because we are very near several major natural tourist locations, including the zoo, a waterfall, a national park and the mountains (like literally 20 minutes away on the low end, 45 minutes on the high end) there are plenty of opportunities to share the beauty of nature with the kids, especially butterflies.

One day, I was coming out of the hospital and I found a caterpillar crawling on the sidewalk. I got some pictures of him...he looked just like the inch-worm on Sesame Street. I wished I had a jar or something so I could take him home to the kids...I had to settle for cellphone pics...

You're having things huh? Great! Isn't it funny how little it takes to make some of us happy. We have hope. That song had me in goosebumps. We have to carry each other struck me!
Last week you were having problems with comment notification I believe. Did you gat it resolved because you made me aware I had the problem too. I know I have it now. I was getting notification from at least Dusty but now no one! Namaste

Glad to hear you're getting your new furnace! And that you found the gloves!

Will go check out the Lydia Cornell post, thanks for the reco.

Maui: It's funny- the whole reason I needed the Gloves is because of the Broken Ancient 60 year old furnace....I would sit and type on my laptop with them on...( being fingerless - they were amazing..) anyways...yeah...I am so happy gloves and the furnace....such little things - but Huge joy...

Patriot: I have no idea what is up with the comments- they still do not come through to my email- I even tried a new account- new email and new blog( which I still have) But it is with all blogs and all emails- and I think it is Blogger glitch when they switched to that OPEN ID thing...Earthlink says it is not on their end- they have checked everything three times- they said it is like Blogger or Google ( which is who blogger is through Now) is filtering emails....

Dizzy: Oh, I loved hearing about inchworm...Wow you live in a great spot....wonderful stuff, and I know you homeschool- so good all of that is there....The thing for 6-6 was that there were not really any butterflies in Seattle- so when the zoo did the tent and he actually got to see the cacoons and then see them all flying about - he finally believed it wasn't some kind of fairy tale...

The when he was 12 we were living in Pacific Grove in California- the Monarchs come there every year....omg...it is magical seeing them all over..graceful...dancing in the wind....( I obviously need to go back there someday ;-)

Okay....they are still banging and sawing...minimal cursing...Yahooo...I can't wait..

After your new furnace is installed & working, I hope you & 6-6 crank that MF up to 75 & have a beach party! Just for one evening, bring out the ice tea & popsicles, play surf music! Hey, if the neighbors think you're nuts, invite 'em over for Wipe-Out, that'll chase the winter chills away.

Enigma, well it appears that the glove fairy has been very hard at work, because I found my lost glove as well. I'm so glad you found yours.

Now, if only the friend fairy would get to work, because I managed to lose a very special friend this week, and I am so sad.

*sigh*

Josie:
I am sooo sorry....there is nothing worse than losing a friend...I am so sorry, I too lost a friend over Christmas...( btw for no known reason- she shed me like a winter coat....but is was still heartbreaking....because I always give to my friends....so I KNOW how much this hurts...) Give it some time , maybe there will be healing with your friend...namaste..many hugs..

DK: they just finished putting it in...so wonderful...to be able to have heat in all the rooms at once...the OLD Furnace sits in the Basement looking like a sleeping elephant....wow..real heat WOW...my first REAL HEAT in Ohio....( we had no heat last winter either...)

I heard no grumbling, only the honest thoughts of someone like us all, in hopes of a better day.

You are shining light of hope yourself, Enigma.

Great news about your furnace. To quote Obama ... "Are you fired up?"

Maybe after the furnance has restored warmth throughout your home again you can dispense with the gloves while typing although I know they have a cherished significance for you.

Your debate coverage was magnificent and unmatched by any other Blog site I visited. Congrats on an excellent job.

Thanks for your comment on my most recent Blog post, "Bumper Sticker Logic."

Keep the spirit, beautiful lady.

Peace,
Cosmic

Enigma,

The Nevada voter disenfranchisement lawsuit will be heard today.

I have a post up about on my blog.

The teachers union and five Democrats with ties to Hillary Clinton's campaign are behind the lawsuit.

This is the price people who work in service jobs in the Las Vegas casino industry will pay because the Culinary Union endorsed Barack Obama.

Good for you E4E...a new furnace is a good thing.
Reminds of back in the old days before forced air when all you had was a big central heating unit somewhere in the middle of the house that was a terrible obstacle to circumvent with bare feet but oh so warm when just in from the cold. You could stand on the grate and just toast until your shoes started to steam.
