OBAMA WINS SOUTH CAROLINA 2:1, CLICK THE TITLE AND SEE THE AMAZING VICTORY SPEECH

******************************
(originally posted on Saturday Night 8:34pm 1.26.07 )
HUGE win...Wonderful.....This is a Huge Victory after much of the Clinton Negative Destructive Campaigning of the last 2 weeks.

[[About WHO voted...and how they Voted... And just so we are all clear about this, he also won with the White Male Vote under 40...yes, deep breath. So He won with all demographics ( much like he did in Iowa, except in a White Souther State....which is a very big deal).]]

DO BUY the NYT tomorrow, Caroline Kennedy has a Editorial About Obama tomorrow...MUST READ. It is up over on Huff Post tonight, it is beautiful, she explains WHY Obama is inspiring to people the way her dad was, and why he matters today, just like 1960 needed a Man of Change. Of Everything that I have read, this piece really moved me beyond anything......it is incredible, mostly because it is all true. She is recognizing Greatness, and honoring it.

CLICK THE TITLE TO SEE AND HEAR THE AMAZING VICTORY SPEECH tonight....( IT even left Joe Scarborough stunned , asking are we Witnessing History...yes, Joe- we are....)

9:15 PM Obama gave an amazing speech....Amazing...wow...crowd was on fire...and it was a new speech...and it rocked...and made Billary look very very petty.....It was unifying and healing..good for him...( he left Joe awestruck...finally)

9:33 Now Edwards is speaking....( recycled speech...but still good) good speech about people struggling..( well, that would be 90% of the people..) I still hope and pray in the end that he and Obama link up....oh please...

( Keith said that they are uncertain if Hillary is speaking ???what? )

9:45 Pm...
Hill is in Tennesee and she is not planning to give a Consession Speech- but just her Stump Speech....and it is 45 minutes long...and she is not going to give a speech about the SC Voters or thanking them ( her voters in SC should be pissed- how rude)...This is just bad manners- sorry- but it is ...

enigma4ever said...

9:49 Pm
Hill is speaking at a Town Hall Meeting...now she is talking .....not very gracious, not a concession speech at all, she barely mentioned that Obama won- half a sentence......she is using that FAKE Southern accent AGAIN...urgh...why does she that....( as a woman with a slight Southern Accent- because of who raised me- nothing annoys me more than people who pretend to have one...and be Southern..urgh)...okay she literally barely acknowledged her Voters in SC or the Win of Obama....I just think she should have given a true concession speech...that it is about manners and having some dignity, being gracious..be polite...

Now Keith at 9:52 PM is interviewing Edwards...I feel sorry for him..he really is stuck in the middle of this mess..

BTW FOX is re-airing the Victory Speech at 1am....thank you FOX....you are the ONLY station that re-aired it.....( NOT cnn, or cspan, or MSNBC...)

299,092....55%
141,128....27%
93,552......18%

MOST EVER that voted in ANY election or Primary....in SC history...

I must tell you I'm watching the second last day of the Aust - India cricket test. Hard to shift between passions sometimes.
Mind you, in true cricket fashion there won't be a result - which means Aust will win the series.
Almost as much drama in this as a good election campaign, including the retirements :(
It is almost a replay of ancient Greece politics and sports - but perhaps only in Australia :)

enigma4ever said...

only in Australia....sigh...but very exciting....

NOW....about here...I think we are in for quite a battle...

But passion is important...after 7 years of hell, and most of the Public could easily be withdrawn and apathetic....but Change is wanted and needed...
and that people are going to the polls in Record Numbers is Excting- and the MSM is not covering it...Shame on them...THIS IS HISTORY in the MAKING...

Cartledge said...

THIS IS HISTORY in the MAKING... But of course it is! Some of us live our lives getting overheated about history happening before our eyes.

enigma4ever said...

and some of us have been waiting since 1968.....that is a long time...

Cartledge said...

that seems a long time. I was for NOW back then, and now I just hope we see the change.

Good news~ really like the Caroline Kennedy op ed piece in the NY Times.

LET'S TALK said...

Caroline Kennedy has endorsed Obama as well.

Great reporting here Enigma. I have the speech at one of my site that Obama made in South Carolina. See Let's Talk About It

What a glorious victory for Barack in South Carolina. He carried 81% of the black vote and 25% of the white vote. In fact, he was initially expected to carry only 50% of the Black vote and 10% of the white vote.

One of the great things about Obama's South Carolina routing of the Borg Queen was the repudiation of the race-baiting, old school-style of politics the Clintons bring to the table.

The longer Bill Clinton remained in the Palmetto state, the lower the Borg Queen's polls dropped and Obama's polls climbed.

Another thing is, South Carolina is said to contain large numbers of old white southerners, for whom the idea of supporting a black man for president is anathema. Yet, Obama carried 25% of whites.

Damn, Obama delivered an electrifying speech.

I'm still supporting Edwards, but Obama's optimisim and enthusiasm are both infectious and refreshing after years of status-quo drones like Clinton and going all the way back to Kennedy. Obama could be this generation's Kennedy.

And his brilliant slogan of Yes we can is a hell of a lot better than Don't vote for the black guy.

I watched that speech again this morning. And posted it on my site as well.

It is like inspirational crack! I am going to be jonesing for the next Obama speech now. The next time he speaks I will plant myself in front for my television and soak it in to get my hope saturated fix for the day.

My eyes teared up, my hairs stood on end, and my heart sped up. I don't EVER have an emotional response to a political speech. But I certainly did this time.

I also have a deep respect for John Edwards, but my friends we are witnessing history. I don't want to feel like the supporters of Adlai Stevenson must have felt after John F. Kennedy was elected President in 1960. It must sting for a lifetime when you know you did not recognize and support a historic change in your county.

Caroline Kennedy has said that Obama is the FIRST candidate that reminds her of her father. I simply cannot find a reason to disagree with her.

Gryphen:
Thank you for posting the speech, I sent it all over and tried to post in the Link- but we need to spread it. It was an important speech, and the media barely aired it. I have to say FOX aired it over and over all night- they were the ONLY station that did...Caroline Kennedy's piece coming out the night that he gave THAT speech was historic.

Abi:
It was an amazing speech, and I think we should all listen to it every day. The Clintons were very ungracious, and they were handing out Bumper Stickers in the South Missouri and Tennesee saying" African Americans for Clinton" , I saw that and I was just sick...we are Better than that. We are a Country that does not have to be that way...and the Clintons did not even honor all his voters ( almost 300,000) and did not even really Thank their own voters- IN THE SOUTH....I was raised by Southern Women- you do not ignore Southern Manners or Good Graces.....

Obama with that Speech was Presidential- it is THAT simple....

Christopher:
You are right it was an amazing win, and for the South to Come out like that for Barack was SOMETHING, and he did carry huge numbers of a diverse number of voters....the Clintons an paint it however they want- the numbers are there and he solidly won, 2:1, that is a HUGE number. and for that to Happen in the South definently legitimizes Iowa even more.

Let's Talk:
It is really something about Caroline Kennedy's Op Ed Piece timed with Obama's Speech- thank you for posting The Speech.

Fran and Cart:
thank you for being here too.....and sharing History.

enigma4ever said...

BTW please do share and watch the YouTube-
last night it was up at 11pm...and had 241 views....not it is over 85,000....

Enigma, I was watching CNN this morning, and I see that Ted Kennedy is supporting Obama. That is very interesting, indeed.

Hillary must feel sort of crappy, considering that JFK was Bill Clinton's idol.

Hmmmm, very interesting.

How are you today? Baking something wonderful, I would imagine. :-)

He is the man and the country is waking up to it. I have a lot of concerns though and as you advised I wrote them on my site. Ted and Caroline are awe never mind. Namaste!

enigma4ever said...

Patriot:
Obama is amazing..and I think and hope and pray that the Country, OUR Country is waking up....the Kennedy's endorsement...esp Caroline is really a great honor.

enigma4ever said...

Josie:
Ooops sorry, I meant to respond to both of you...above...

Obama is amazing- please do listen to the speech that linked- he wants to reunite our divided Country.....About the Kennedy endorsement...I think as I said above the one that really inspires me the most is the Beautiful Oped by Caroline Kennedy...so eloquent...and so truthful, I don't think I have ever see her ever take a stand about a Candidate ......She mostly shys away from politics ....but she spoke out also because she has 3 teens and she looks at Obama and she sees what they see. ( Which is what happened to me- I was an Edwards supporter- still am- but my teenage son said you have to see and hear Obama)

Cooking you ask...pretty quiet today...maybe pancakes later..

enigma4ever said...

Sunday 5pm.....
Big Endorsements happening....Ted Kennedy tomorrow at a Town Hall in DC- please do try to watch- or go to Obama's Website and see the Live Feed if it is up....

And Also on the websites Some really amazing NewsPapers are endorsing Obama- Seattle Times and also Arizona Republic.....wow..

Christopher said...

And then there was Ethel Kennedy.

Back in 2005, Ethel Kennedy "got it" before even Obama.

enigma4ever said...

Christopher..
I said this before...my son "got i"t...in 2004 watching him speak....

I hope and pray that for all of Us , We The People..that we can make it Happen...

Larry said...

Funny how the Clinton's are trying to act like this event never happened.

enigma4ever said...

Larry:
It is stunning isn't it ?

It's called the DeNile Campaign....
it ain't just a River.....

It is a Moment in History that we should all be embracing.....and they have turned their back on the Moment and the ALL the People involved...

they have forgotten WE THE PEOPLE....in the imperious quest for Reclaiming Lost Power of Another Era....it is tragic...and sad...and disheartening.....

thankfully many talk shows and blogs have Noticed their Arrogance.....

enigma4ever said...

So I posted the Obama speech- and it was 241 views last night when I first posted it- 24 hours later...181,000.
