HOW BADLY CAN THE CDC LIE ABOUT AIDS STATS ? CLICK AND READ....

Well, they lie about Salmonella and Autism rates, so we would expect the Truth? Oh, but it turns out that they have been lying for a couple of years...56,000 New Cases of HIV a year is alot...and not what they have been saying....So I guess All that Abstinance Teaching is going well , eh?

Some years back, when HIV first became linked to AIDS, I listened to a radio interview with some official from the CDC. Over the 50,000 watt station air waves, this guy actually said that a significant number of HIV infections were spread via casual content--e.g. sneezing in a crowded elevator.

Since then, we've come to know more about HIV and AIDS. At the same time, we see the guys in Atlanta are still maintaining a propaganda line.

what bothers me is that their reporting of the numbers-falsely also determines the level of care, funding and med pricing- so it was not just "an era in numbers"....

and what is really worrying me as an old AIDS nurse ( I worked with some of the very first cases in the 80's through the 90's...) that if they have underreported the HIV....then that means they most likely fudged the AIDS 's numbers too...and probally all the trackable diseases that interface with HIV- including STD's and TB....I will worry....

then on another level Bush and his Cronies and religous appointees were desperate to PROVE that their frigging abstinance only programs were wonderful and effective...so I guess we knew they would lie , right?

Is there ANY program they have not FEMA"d ????

FEMA'd or cannibalized to feed their corporate friends. I'm surprised they haven't sold the Oval Office furniture yet.

The bigger question here is the bending of science to support ideology and extralogical beliefs. That could end with a change of administration.

I know that is true...that a new administration could change things...I hope that happens...
