( I will blog later tonight- saw him in concert by accident- in concert...out doors- in a little park in the late 70's....he was in the audience - and got up on stage and played impromtu....the song I posted...for a "special lady" ( WHO ? we will never know probally wife number 1 or 2 or a mystery lady....she was beautiful....anyways...I used to drive a Rickshaw in downtown baltimore in the summers....give folks rides ( I had three jobs thru school, waiting tables, lifeguarding and yup rickshawing...3 wheeled bike...) ....and this little park would have little eve concerts- Ramsy Lewis, Miles Davis etc...and I can not remember which of them he was sitting in the audience- but you get the idea.....it was THE MOST ROMANTIC thing I have ever seen....broke my damn heart....anyways....so you can see WHY I had to find that Burt Bachrach song.....sigh....summer memories...
Anyways...thanks so much for your patience....with me and Blogger...( love your new photo...awesome)
About WHAT happened last night with the NATIONAL ANTHEM AFTER PHELPS WON....
The Chinese put the song on- but it started in the middle and then right when it came to the Land of the Brave part- it STOPPED ( and the camera panned to Bush - duh) and then to Phelps who laughed...it was just a really odd moment- a bunch of folks blogged on it....it was humorous...seriously....
But maybe the Chinese need some help with the Anthem.....so we should help ?

Okay now 6-6 has weighed in he wants Jimi Hendrix Woodstock Version.....he is finding it...
Great Isaac Hayes YouTube. I don't remember if I ever heard him play "Look of Love" before, but he does a great version of it. Every cover version I ever heard him do, I thought was better than the original version. The first time I ever heard of him was 1969 when he did a cover version of a Dionne Warwick song. "Walk On By" I think it was.
RIP. And thanks for your tribute.
Tom::
he used to do Bachrach songs a long time ago...which would also explain why you heard the Dionne Warwick song....he was so amazing- one of a kind voice too..he was one of a kind...thanks for coming by.....
